I'm still wondering where Sellers went and why he wasn't a boss. It be way awesome. His main attack be just bashing into you in his hover-wheelchair and his special attack be some huge cannon that comes out of nowhere on it and blasts everyone. But, alas, he just kinda went "poof."
Tada!!! Poof!! here comes Xenosaga IV!!!!!
ENDING SPOILER
I really hope they do make a EP IV. that's be awesome.... the Ending itself tells you the story isn't COMPLETELY closed.

If there is a Xenosaga IV in the works then It won't be announced anytime soon... They're going to let us belive that Xenosaga has finished before they hit us with the big shock just to create more excitement... However, first they need to look at sales figures of episode III.
I don't think there will be a IVth game, but I don't thats the last we've seen of "Xeno"...
I'm still putting going to Michtum... I'm pretty sure I'm quite badly underlevelled. I also havn't even finished a single skill line. I'm pretty annoyed but I missed a couple of finish strikes on the last couple of bosses >.<

The best place for leveling up is Abels' Ark, Flame. Unless you want to do on-foots on the Durandel, but those fights take longer than the easy trap+max anima one shot ES fights.

I found a better place for leveling up was the Isolation Area. You usually have 4-7 enemies to fight and most are those little floating things that die in one hit. So, it's pretty good SP.

This just came to my mind. I like how T-elos totally faded away in the story. With what 3 appearences before her *grand final*(that I have NOT seen yet). I still find it pretty unfair that KOS-MOS v3 had to go up against Proto Omega, while Cheese-los got to show off her powers against third rate gnosis. "But we don't wont her to destroy proto omega". Like how she was going to blast a no-longer existing version of the E.S. Asher?
Haha, she's a joke.
Yea yea I know, that's more than what one can say for her style in battle.

I Trained up for ages in abel's ark... and now I'm just going through the Cathedral... slowly... with many ES battles. I'm not really doing too well, There are a bunch of accessories I should buy before the boss battles (to stop them countering and revenge ect. ect.) but I can't be bothered... I must admit the last couple have been close battles. I normally use MOMO's ES, because it's rubbish >.< But I need MOMO and Ziggy to get the EXP and Skill Points >.<
I'm actually just about to watch the cinematic after beating Margulis... it's on pause at the moment hahaha
Sadistic Angel
Sep 16 2006, 11:18 PM
E.S. Levi had great boss music. But so did E.S. Dan and then Voyager was stil kicking ass even after he lost his mech. It was an odd way for Margulis to go out, but fitting.

Ack! I havn't had much trouble with the ES battles... but I'm back on foot at about level 55 and I'm having difficulty defeating one team of gnosis without wasting a LOT more EP than I'd like to spend. I'm going to train up until at least Level 60... I'm thinking about going and fighting Omega optional battle (Though Erde Kaiser Sigma I'm leaving for my second playthrough

).
I havn't even come across any of Ziggy's final weapon items and the characters without their final weapons are so very weak. It isn't much of a problem because I hardly use KOS-MOS or Jr, but Ziggy is my main hard hitter but getting 99 Serphanic cones or whatever they are sound like hassles...
Armaros
Sep 17 2006, 03:29 PM
You get Seraphic Canes from the Armaros and Azazel Gnosis in the final dungeon of the game. If you're lucky, you'll get two of them per battle, so patience is a large ingredient. Honestly though, with the amount of fighting that's going to take, your levels will go up so much that weak characters will cease to be a problem, so I personally think it isn't really worth the effort.

My Main team now seems to be Shion, KOS-MOS and choas... which is strange because I hardly used Shion and KOS-MOS throughout the game.
*LAST DUNGEON SPOILERS*
T-elos verus everyone was an awesome cutscene, but the actual battle wasn't anything too difficult. I assume that was Jesus that chaos was listening to... it's strange to see a 3D version of him. I'm a little bit worried about what blasphemous direction this is going... but I'm not SO religious that I don't understand a story when I see one. To be honest I was more excited about the fact that it MAY be controversial, but so far the religious references just seem to be for the sake of it. I dunno, maybe I'm just niave.
Allen is just getting beaten up by Kevin at the moment when I had to put the game on pause because something I'm bidding for is about to end it's auction on ebay... I'm at level 61 at the moment, with two skill lines complete for everyone. I didn't know you could just about on the extra skill lines and just get whatever skills you want... D'oh!
Sadistic Angel
Sep 18 2006, 11:32 AM
lol You are more than ready to face and destroy the final boss then. But, be warned, make sure to seal Kevin's boost with Luck Shot for Shion or something. Otherwise he'll just keep Boost'ing and using insanely strong techniques like this one that makes every hit critical and stuff. Very annoying.
VOYAGER!! You never did say what you thought of that scene and fight...or did you... I can't remember.

Voyager gets badass points over the top if you read PP, though, concidering all the crap he puts Ziggy and Meris through.
But honestly, it'd make a much better movie than it was a game. You fight Voyager six times or so, in the same instance, just to put a cutscene between the fights. It'd make a good science fiction movie, it would.

Yes, reading pied piper made the whole Ziggy vs. Voyager thing awesome. The first cutscene with him trying to steal KOS-MOS, I just kept thinking "oh my god, I can't wait to kill this guy." I hate Voyager (as a person, but hes a cool villain) and it made all of the fights cool.

SO...yea, Sad, coming clean that when I finally got up to that point in the game, I asked myself what was so cool about him. Ignorance is bliss as they say. I haven't played the game in a while..I know how the game ends and all that stuff.
There is some unfinished business with episode I.

*Ending Spoilers*
Woot, I finally finished the game! The last few bosses were far easier than I expected. It was interesting to read the character profiles on the database after the game, especailly Jin's. It certainly does leave it open for another game. Although everything was technically wrapped up we're still left with the future of the characters unknown. If there were to be a new game I don't think Ziggy would be in it. His story is 100% finished and his brain is dying. MOMO and Jr seem to have everything resolved although I'd like to see an adult Rubedo and adult MOMO... Maybe their child will be in the next game. Shion... I don't know... maybe in one form or another. The only characters I think will definatly be in the next game If there were one (One way or another) is KOS-MOS, chaos and Jin. Then again anything is possible.
I liked the ending... I'm still confused on a lot of the details, but I'm replaying from the beginning and reading EVERY database file as soon as I get it. I hardly touched it on my first playthrough.
As for Voyager... I didn't appreciate his character as much as I should have. I'm defiantly going to read up on Pied Piper. I loved fighting him and he is the only testament who truley seemed powerful. I liked Caanan's story arc, but I only really appreciated it after reading up about Caanan on the database.
Whilhelm confuses the hell out of me... Who he is for starters. Though I have a feeling that he represents the devil in the way that he tries to suppress Mankinds free will. His intentions seem worthy but it's just executed badly. I guess I just expected a bigger shock at the end from Whilhelm. And what the hell happened to chaos' story arc? I thought Episode III would be when he shined but it was just a fizzle at best.
One more thing... I can NOT be bothered with the arcadian Resource...

Well, I would presume that is because everytime you see him he's kicking ass. I admit, I did not fully appreciate him till the fight with E.S. Dan. It was a perfect arena, a perfect difficulty and perfect music. Of course, let's not forget about where he takes getting run through and laughs and later when he takes a full shot from a mech and brushes it off. Truly, I'm glad we got to see him easily toy around with the party because that's what characters like the Testaments should do.
Hey, check the Character Viewer. You can see Voyager 2. I wonder where they got the idea for that Battle Form from because I never saw it.

I just had and watched a very entertaining battle with T-elos, and also I got what I've been wanting since the first episode. And the truth about Chaos is in the database, heh his name makes a lot of sense.
And..poor Allen. Geez he's been screwed throughout the whole game.
Shion/KOS-MOS/Mary. Just became my favorite cutscene in the game. Damn that new attack is awesome.
Well, I guess I'm off to face Mr.Antichrist and his butt buddy.
I'm level 63-64 with 55hrs in the game. Sticking with Jin, Shion and KOS-MOS. Funny, I have not switched them out for anyone since the fight with Virgil. What a great game this has been..

You should be able to finish the game easily then Shion... I found the last few bosses suprisingly easy. I also thought I was very underlevelled because I found the gnosis before the final boss hard without wasting tons of Ep every battle on them.
The only hint I have now is to put on some epuipment to stop Shion being put in the status change 'Misty', that way she always has access to her ethers. I can't remember for certain, but I think one of the bosses does that.
*Ending spoilers*
I was thinking about the testaments... and considering how Willhelm monitered and chose his testemants because of their strength it's suprising how each of them was actually quite weak willed (with maybe the exception of Albedo) and ended up betraying Wilhelm in some form or another.
Virgil - Couldn't be defeated physically, but his heart was always longing for Febronia. He left the scene when he found her again instead of pursuing his tasks as a testament.
Voyager - Pysically strong and Mentally unsound... however the idea of power was too much for him. He tried to become more powerful than Wilhelm and perished for it.
Albedo - I wasn't sure if he fits the pattern, but he did have a terrible weakness... His desire to be one with Rubedo again.
Kevin - He turned against Wilhelm because of his connection to Shion, and betrayed him moreso than any other testament.
I just think it's odd to choose people who still had such a strong connection to the world to become testements. In that respect I think Voyager was his best choice because he didn't have much connection to the world at all... it's just a shame he was so greedy.

I don't run out of EP. Ever. Recover EP makes it so that never happens.

No worries about Misty, Shion is immune to all status in my game. I'm trying to raise enough money to buy Jin and KOS-MOS thier own Null down SE accessories. I'm so close to 100% database, but I need that last 3% for the characters category.

Then you have nothing to worry about... the final bosses are as good as dead to you.
Something that annoyed me towards the end of the game is how it seems that all the characters use some kind of Fire attack. KOS-MOS's most powerful tech's and final Special Attack is Fire... And most of the other character's most powerful special tech is fire as well (Rubedo, Shion and I think Ziggy). However, Chaos' final special attack makes him simply an awesome character to have

LOL, yeah I noticed that too. Having only fire attacks was kind of annoying. But if an enemy had a fire weakness he had no chance in hell, literally! As for Chaos' final special attack, to me was useless. It was just a waste of 3 boost for me since I already had the Heaven's Door accessory and could cast 3 best allies faster than charging up 3 boost. I would've like Chaos to have one final bad-ass attack. Although his Imperial Judgement was a freaking awesome move to begin with.

Reviving a 20 day old thread but since this is were discussion is localized bear with the revival. Oh and i will be discussing the ending so SPOILERS
So I finally finished the game like 5 minutes ago, i was fighting Zarathustra and had beat up about 60 percent of its HP and then I just gave up and used Erde Kaiser Sigma hoping it will get rid of enough HP for me to finish the fight easily. Well it totally whooped Zarathustra's ass and I finally got my ending.
I am confused as hell about a bunch of things. The ending was beautiful and incredibly tragic. I wonder why the hell didnt Ziggy went along with Asher instead of Jin, I couldnt care less about Ziggy but in the last part Jin finally stood up above the rest being a hero (lame, cliched self sacrificing hero but ok) and his farewell to Shion was pretty damn emotional.
Allen redeemed himself at the last part from his suckyness, for a bit there i thought it was too little too late but then he whooped that Gnosis' ass while scaping and i was convinced about what Shion (the forum member) had said about him in the favourite version of characters thread, indeed it was a surprise and the moment where he stands up to Kevin Winnicock (pun intended) was pretty damn good as a character and in writing. The guys who wrote that part really put some much needed effort in it.
Like Flame i am not sure what the hell Whilhelm was. I think Whilhelm represents humanity and its need to survive, in the end Whilhelm is just like the Testaments which is logical since he made them. Whilhelm scapes from a fate he fears even though he doesnt show it (BTW, wasnt it totally cool how Whilhelm stayed calmed through the final moments), so he chooses a path that is guaranteed and easy to take.
I still have to read up all that I havent read in the database, i read about Whilhelm, chaos, mary, nephilim just after finishing the game and it doesnt help much. Also I am missing 1 percent of the database, i'll have to check if i am missing an update file but I was sure i would have it complete after finishing the game.
Before I finished the game I thought that God was either Whilhelm or Abel, I didnt expect Abel to be the representation of UDO until it was shown as such to Shion so that was a surprise. I could tie this latest developments to xenogears but i think i am gonna pass on that, even though now Xenogear Abel's role makes more sense. I was also great to see Nephilim all grown up, 3d Ellyham, epic.
Closing up, I thought Episode 3 did well to fix the major ##### up Ep 2 was. I enjoyed Ep2 because it was devoted to Jr who is my favourite character but overall the game was mediocre. It nice that the guys put their game on and released a great game. Is worthy conclusion to this part of the story and I hope we see more of Xenosaga in the future. The only thing i didnt like was the music, it could have been done better, it was repetitive and boring throught the game. But aside from that, the game is awesome. Oh and the battle system was kinda boring without combos but not as crazy as EP2's and I miss the different attacks using the face buttons which reminded me of Xenogears, nothing to write home about but it gets the work done i guess.

*Ending Spoilers*
By the end of Xenosaga III it's quite hard to really hate Allen... The Kevin scenes are pretty cool with him but the ultimate is at the end when he finally calls her Shion and destroys that Gnosis.
The most interesting thing that I found is that it seems that at the end where KOS-MOS is floating around in space the planet she is heading towards is not Earth like I first assumed because it has a ring around it. I wonder where it is... I guess we'd find out in the next Episode/Xeno-series if there ever is one.
The Database is very vast... I'm trying to read it all as I go along no my second playthrough but it's not working out... I find myself reading it but not taking much in. I'm thinking of going through the series (Well, watching the DVD then playing episode II and then Episode III) because I generally have more questions than most... *prays for Episode I to be released in PAL areas... and pigs to fly*
And Raz... out of all the threads you could have revived, I'm glad it's this one and not "Who iz ur fav FF caracter"
