Can someone tell me what changes was made in Episode II in terms of voice actors compare to Episode I?

And what changes was made in Episode III that was different in Episode II?

Call me old with a memory problem but I can't tell the changes in voices in Episode III compare to Episode II.

They say the KOS-MOS voice actor is the same person as in Episode I but when I hear KOS-MOS in Episode III she sound the same as she was in both Episode I and Episode II. LOL.
Xerno
Shion and KOS-MOS are voiced by their original voice actors from Episode I again. Those I know for certain, the others vary (I'd have to double-check some to be sure).
Athrun
Yuk, you can't tell that she sounds completely different in Episode 2?

It's like this:

Shion's voice was changed in Episode 2 (made her sound more bitchy and stuck up)
She has the same voice in Episode 1 and 3

Exact same deal for KOS-MOS.

MOMO and chaos also changed voices in Epi 2. (I don't know if they kept their Epi 2 voices for Epi 3 or not.)

Everyone else stayed the same, I think.
Rhadamanthus
I thought T-ELOS had Kos-mos' voice actor in ep I, and KOS-MOS had her ep 2 voice overs?

Well when I started playing Episode II I knew there was a change at the beginning and it was kind of hard at first but after awhile you sort of get used to the voices and they become the norm and you forget what the original voices sound like in Episode I.
In all honesty the voice acting was fine in Episode II. It's just that for some characters you are used to hearing a different voice from those character in Episode I.
If the situation was in reverse and the person that did Shion in Episode II did Episode I and person that did Episode I did Episode II instead, I bet people would be complaining about today's Episode I and III Shion voice actress.
Xerno
MOMO and chaos are said to have the same voice actors from Episode II (other members who've played the game have confirmed chaos' Episode II voicing returning, I'm not 100% sure about MOMO). As Athrun said, Rubedo and Ziggy are the same for all 3 (but I guess that was obvious). But Jin is the one I have no idea about at all.

And I'm gonna throw this in here again: Yuriev's brilliant voice from Episode II sounds like it was replaced with a rather poor new voice. From what I've heard of him so far; his new voice sucks, plain and simple (and I'll complain about that for eternity xD ).

As for Shion's Episode II voice; it sounds horrible to me either way. She overacts badly, her breakdown in front of Feb's sisters being the best example: "I ca~a~an't do ~iiit! I wooo~n't do ~iiit!" <= horrible.

Well I did find that Shion's and KOS-MOS, as well as chaos, original voice actors suited them best. So it wasn't the change per say that annoyed me, even though I got very much used to them, but I thought the choice for their voices in Episode 2 was poor compared to the original.

And Vins, I heard that T-elos and KOS-MOS share the same voice actor, but I haven't checked it out to confirm it.
I really do hope that KOS-MOS got her Episode 1 voice back. If she's doing T-elos now, then I don't see why not.
Xerno
KOS-MOS is voiced by Bridget Hoffman again (Episode I voice). Namco already confirmed so in that Q & A (which I posted long ago in the former New Scans topic, remember? xP ).
Athrun
Well thats good. So in short that would mean that chaos, KOS-MOS, Shion and MOMO had voice actor changes in Epi 2.
But now everyone is back to normal again, except MOMO and chaos.

I especially missed Shion's voice. Hearing her yell out "The Gnosis!" in the trailer sounded so nostalgic.

The voice acting in III seems to be ok with everyone (Shion's is far better than Episode II) but I still don't like chaos's voice. It seems to be worse than Episode II... I wish they would bring back the first voice actor because he seemed to have it right for me.

The voice acting has never really bothered me in any of the games (Except chaos' in the third episode).

Even with the same voice actor, Shion still doesn't seem like the first episode Shion... I only saw the cutscenes of Episode I but there is defiantly something different about her in the other episodes. However she seems much more like her original self in the third episode so I'm a lot happier.
Sadistic Angel
They got a new Hammer and Tony who ARE NOT funny.
The Evil Dead
Gotta love IMDB... Feel free to compare:

XS1: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364126/fullcredits

XS2: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376344/fullcredits

XS3: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0809953/fullcredits

The english actors are kinda scattered there in the credits, but those links will tell you which actors stayed on and who was shifted out for some new voice actor.
Xerno
Darn, Yuriev isn't on the XSIII list for the English version. I've heard him talking while actually playing the game now, and I'm beginning to doubt if it's really a new person voicing him. The voice sounds similar, but he just doesn't deliver any of his lines as well as he did in XSII. So either it's the same guy, but isn't as good as he used to be, or it's a new guy who's just trying to stay true to the original voice. I'm guessing it's the latter, but I'd like to know for sure. xD
Valince
ohboy.gif The rest of the voices don't matter to me, as long as Albedo kept his. biggrin.gif I liked both of KOS-MOS' voice actors. Flame about Shion, could it be because she's not in her episode I design, so perceptivily the voice doesn't quite fit for you ?
Demonwing
Albedo did keep his voice actor, but he only has a few lines =(

Whatever, BEST LINES IN THE GAME XD
Tidyun
Chaos's voice in EP 2 is so much better than the one in EP 1. It sounds more mature and relaxing. perfect for his attitude. and I just realized, choas's name in the game is like the only one that doesn't start with a capitalized letter. is there a reason for that? is it because thats not his real name???
Xerno
chaos' name does indeed not have a capitalised first letter. Not ever, not even at the beginning of a sentence. It makes his name the direct opposite of KOS-MOS' (whos name is in all capital letters). And in Greek KOS-MOS means "order". So in other words;

chaos (=> chaos) <---> KOS-MOS (=> order)

chaos=chaos and KOS-MOS=order?
is that what you mean? I don't get it.
Xerno
Yes, that's what I meant. And also that chaos and order are opposites, but in a sense they also compliment eachother. You can hardly consider something to be chaos if there's no order to disturb, just like there's no need for order if it wouldn't lead to chaos without it. This is one of the main hints towards the chaos x KOS-MOS pairing.

And now that I'm playing XSIII, I can also say that Kevin's and Virgil's voice actors aren't all that great (Kevin only had a good voice actor in XSI =/ ).

Edit: I noticed in the credits earlier; Yuriev is still voiced by the same person. Oh well, I thought he did a better job in XSII.
