Am I the only one who thinks chaos needs a beat-down? Think about it... What if you were in a bad situation and a friend of yours knew all the answers but never told you anything and even let you die when he could prevent it? Sounds like someone who you would like to beat down....

What do you think? (Jin too...)
chaos768
Nope. I don't think so at all. If you look back upon all that's happened in all three games, it makes perfect sense why those two never said a word. I'm not too sure the others would have believed them anyway, particularly chaos. But even if they had, think about all the pain they tried to keep from the others; Jin and Shion's father's involvement with U-TIC and Ormus, why Jin wasn't there when their parents were killed, what it meant for chaos to save everyone.....so many other things. Do you not recall chaos' words from Episode 1? "The truth isn't always a pleasant thing to know." And sure enough, those words proved very true for everyone. Plus, I think circumstances prevented them from saying anything anyway.

He needs a beat-down for vaping a Gnosis with his bare hands and then passing it off as "some run fast and draw good" or whatever. That is the single dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Pfff. tongue.gif Pretend you're Shion for a moment. You've spent a great deal of your life doing things to combat the Gnosis, but you know how ineffective most stuff is. Yet, here in front of you is someone who destroyed one just by.....touching it...something that should have turned him into a Gnosis. Even if he was to try and explain it, would you understand? Or is a simple comparrison of talent easier to grasp? tongue.gif
Sadistic Angel
Well, seeing as ALLEN was obviously not taken in...I don't see why anyone with a brain larger than a pea would go "okay." Honestly...it's just not sensible. You saw a nuke coming and a guy swallowed it. He then said "some jump high and some spit very far." You just go with it? Don't think so.
Valince
I think Jr. deserves a beat down for playing ignorant to the knowledge of being able to search out Nigredo, let alone Dmitri Yuriev. Also, even though Nigredo was the failsafe along with Citrine...I doubt he would have killed Jr. Well whatever..
Sadistic Angel
You know who needs a beat down? Kevin. What a jackass. Yet we're supposed to forgive him. Such is the way of Xeno....to make you hate, despisea nd loathe and then make you go "well..he wasn't so bad." I don't think so in regards to Kevin. He was a jackass.
Xerno
Well, I'm a big Kevin fan so I can't really answer that. But I never disliked Kevin, and it's easy to let things slide for a character you like xP . As for chaos, I used to like him a lot too. But in XSIII he was just disappointing. I think he acts really weak, he's got all that power and yet he never really does anything with it. Even at the very end, he was no match for Wilhelm. I dunno why, but even Allen seems stronger willed. Sorry chaos, but you're not cool anymore =s (nor Wilhelm, that guy made me wish Kevin could have hurt him somehow).

I don't know what you mean by that...? How could Rubedo search out Nigredo? He wasn't there anymore, Yuriev took over. And I don't think he can track down Yuriev (but with that said, I didn't quite grasp the URTV side of the story).

XD The only reason Chaos was no match for Willy, is because his power was sealed. As far as being weak willed, I don't think it was him being weak, but him trying to find out what he should do. Be true to what he was and allow his power to destroy the universe, or to follow his own path and go against what he was created to do. Honestly....I think it's really stupid for a higher being to create somthing like Chaos and give it a will of it's own...but hey...that's just me. But have a will of his own he did, and it was quite a human one, even if he wasn't human himself. Therefore he had human-like doubts and a WHOLE freakin' lot to doubt. But come on...Willy got done in by a guy he gave power too. Now THAT'S weak if you ask me. =P
Sadistic Angel
HELLO. Kevin was torturing Allen. Then he attacks Wilhelm a scene laater and he's a good guy again! Pft...people are very strange.
Xerno
Lol, yes. But before that scene I had no problem with Kevin. And as I said in the other topic, before he started messing up Allen I supported Shion's choice to go with him. But when he did mess up Allen I could agree that Kevin is no longer the one for her. But in general, that one scene hasn't changed my opinion on Kevin and I still like his character. So I can still see him as a "good guy" =p (so to speak).

Oooooooo. Awesome defense for my favorite character. biggrin.gif I thought it was a bit odd myself, but remembered that Wilhelm had ALL his power and choas didn't....and then Wilhelm took chaos' power. But even there at the end when Wilhelms power is supressing everyone, chaos stands against it.

All my hope of chaos really releasing his awesome power is in the hope for more games, since these three are really just two of the six that were intended. biggrin.gif

I never really liked chaos until this game (Episode III)
I don't know, it seems I got used to his character.
Flame
As chaos768 says, chaos was supposed to be in more episodes than this and so we really have a lot about his character to discover.

*MASSIVE SPOILERS*
My big question about chaos is why the hell is he called Yeshua and why does it seem like a big deal at first. I know it's another name for Jesus but in the end it's just a name for chaos. I have one theory, and it's somethng to do with him and KOS-MOS supposedly being destined to be together. As we all know, KOS-MOS is Mary Magdeline (or at least holds her will) and Mary is supposed to be the wife of Jesus though in Xenosaga it is never actually specified who she really is (Most Christian religions don't even say she was the Wife of Christ for definate... and I don't think any religion says she had any kind of power).

I had never seen chaos and KOS-MOS' doubt attack in episode II until I accidently stumbled across it on YouTube... I guess that is just something else to hint towards their supposed relationship though it seems nothing ever really came of it.
chaos768
Alot of religions reject any notion of Jesus being married because he was supposed to be a perfect man and a son of God; the first of all creation. So him marrying an imperfect woman would compremise his holiness; not to mention, it could have caused another recurrence of the, interestingly, Nephilim; the giants that were the offspring of angels that left heaven and married women of the earth.

However, I think there's some Jewish conotations in the game that have been overlooked. Remember, in the Jewish religion, Jesus is rejected as the Messiah and it's believed that the true Messiah is yet to come. Well, they showed what was obviously Jesus in the 3rd game; chaos and Mary were standing in the crowd listening to him speak. So perhaps chaos is supposed to be the Messiah that the Jewish religion is waiting for. Just a thought.

Ah...Grand Ronde. Yeah, that attack just drives it on home that those two are meant to be together. Speaking of that, does anyone else think it odd that chaos was speaking to KOS-MOS so tenderly at the end? Mary had already left KOS-MOS, yet, there at the very end, chaos speaks to her in a very compassionate way. Did he possibly develope feelings for her as herself, and not just the Mary inside her? Interesting stuff. We need more games. tongue.gif
Xeno_Saga_lover
i agree with chaos768 hes right chaos and jin kept shion from probably killing herself or maybe an emotional breakdown but eventually in episode 3 she finds it all out so really at the end no harm was done but i see ur point it just depends on ur point of veiw thats all but i still agree with chaos769
