Man...The Wii is definalty going to be the best of the 3 for retro gaming.
Ever hear the rumour that in the future that the Wii will play Mega CD and Saturn discs? All it would take is a software upgrade...which might even happen when you're alseep. =D

Sounds good... Lets hope that they're actual remakes with a bit of a facelift instead of the old title emulated or something for the virtual console. I'm not getting a Wii, but this is a good option to have available for console owners.
Same here. Well, I want both. New games made for the older systems, and the original games for those systems. Apparently you can use the Wii remote and Nunchaku with the Virtual Console, so seeing a new SNES or N64 game that used it would be sweet...
And then we have the middle ground; old games given a facelift and reworked controls for Wii remote compatibility. And maybe even online capabilites?

Also I guess you get real titles as opposed to the weird ones offered through XBL.

Well the thing about Xbox Live Arcade is that you get arcade games...most of which never came to console, and the ones that did were usually shoddy in comparison to the arcade original. So it's something different.
All these games take advantage of the 360, improved visuals, gamer points, leader tables, achievments and online play...Most of these are added to the old games that are released on XBLA. All Nintendo have hinted at really is "games might recieve a slight graphical upgrade"...But I think they was just talking about the emulator, filters etc etc, not changing the orignal ROMs.
I hope they actually do the stuff that the Wii lets them do, and not
just release the ROMs of the original games. But like I said before, I'd like that too.
But, so far, that's all we've seen, or heard of. It wouldnt suprise me really though they never ended up upgrading any of the older games; the classic series sold really well on the GBA, and if they can make money just selling old assests, why bother putting money into upgrading/improving them?
Online 4 player Super Mario Kart using the Wii Remote...Nintendo, hear me!
