With the conclusion of the Xenosaga series, I've decided to make a nice topic taking into account a few categories that will revolve around the best part of any story - the antagonists. You may choose to do

So, you can split it into the two or simply say which villain, in your opinion, was the best in the category. Try to give some reasoning so there may be some discussion, as well.. ^^
Most Accomplished Villain-
They succeeded in their ambitions/goals or simply caused a great deal of death, chaos and suffering.
Most Intelligent Villain-
They demonstrated a great deal of cunning and brainpower and this can be in science, manipulation, etc.
Most Tragic Villain-
Circumstance, the cruelty of the world and humankind made them into the monsters they are.
"Pure" Villain-
They do not owe their evil and wicked desires to manipulation or control. They simply enjoy, revel and smile as they hurt others.
Favorite Villain-

I can only go by Xenosaga
Most Accomplished Villain-
Kevin... He simply accomplished the most when you think about it, Considering also that he was just a human. Not only did he find the Maiden of Mary but he also made her fall in love with him. He built a complicated Android who had some affinity with Mary Magdeline and could carry her Will (Which lets face it... even if you could build an android as complex as KOS-MOS you probably couldn't find a way to affix a paticualr will to it). He staged his own death SIMPLY to bring KOS-MOS and Shion closer together. He then built T-elos in record timing. We know that T-elos comes from the physical body of Mary Magdeline taken from The floating island, which has only been around for a while (I'm not sure how long but it must be within a year that they take the body because Albedo Testament is there). I could go on but I think I've made a point.
Most Intelligent Villain-
Whelhelm - He managed to minipulate everyone and create the conglomerate Vector as well as head several oposing fractions. The guy just seems to reak of intelligence to me.
Most Tragic Villain-
Albedo... It may be a bit of a strange choice but I thought his story of wanting to be with Rubedo but being 'abandoned' was really sad. He became completly ruthless and sick but I can understand how he got there. He would have to see Rubedo die... the thing he loved the most and he could never die with him. Everyone else would grow old and die and leave him behind. Maybe I'm odd, but I felt for Albedo. Virgil is a close second.
"Pure" Villain-
Voyager - I don't know too much about him but just between the interactions of him and the other characters he just seems completly ruthless. I love how he Taunts Ziggy and just his facial expressions.
Favorite Villain-
For no reason at all apart from the awesome boss fight... Orgulla... Everything about the boss fight was great... especially her schizophrenia. I wish there was a secret fight in XSIII where you could fight her... maybe as revenge for us killing Sergius. Anyway, it wasn't to be.

Fave villains: The Elements (XG). I just really like fighting them. Their 'Gear Elements Combine' scene is still one of my favorite video game moments.
Intelligent: Wilhelm. He had everyone on his strings.
Accomplished: Krelian. He DID achieve his final goal in a way; he met with a god.
Tragic: Grahf/ Lacan
Pure: Voyager.
