oo0o I love Record of Lodoss War, very good if I do say so myself. You know to save money you could do what I do, just get a netflix account, rent the anime and then burn to an External HD. Saves me a lot of cash on these EXPENSIVE animes

How is Saiyuki? The characters always looked cool to me, but I never found a chance to check any of it out.

its very funny, the characters and how they interact with each other just leaves me in shambles cause im laughing so hard. Genjo Sanzo is quiet and gets annoyed easily, Son Goku eats all the time, Sha Gojyo is a womanizer and Cho Hakkai is just an overal good guy. Its funny cause Goku and Gojyo are always getting into an arguement over ANYTHING and they always end up pissing off Sanzo. Besides the comedy its got some good action and a good story. I would highly recommend it.

Mmmmm if I ever shared the manga series I download religiously this list would be full of mad shoujo.

Some of what I have downloaded:

Ayakashi - a series based on classic Japanese horror stories. Scary, cool and has a kick-ass intro song.

X - a serial retelling of the movie by the same name. It's produced by a team, composed entirely of women, called Clamp. The show is action-packed and epic (think: battle for the end of the world), and the characters are well-developed and unique.

Ah! My Goddess TV - a complete retelling of the story. It's good for both fans and newcomers to the title, and is a full season in legth, dwarfing the now aged 5 episode OVA. Also, and perhaps most importantly, it is as close to Kosuke Fujishima's original manga as you're going to get.

RahXephon - a young man, a giant robot, a mysterious girl and the keys to man's ultimate evolution. Sound like Neon Genesis Evangelion? It is, watch Eva.

Saikano (Saishuu Heiki Kanojou) - Translated, "My Girlfriend, The Ultimate Weapon", this is a series like I've never seen. Drama is fairly commonplace in anime, but Saikano will rip your heart out. And it feels great. Hate/love love stories? Saikano hates/loves you, too.

Texhnolyze - A very strange story set in a very strange world. From the creator of Lain, Yoshitoshi Abe, this show gives us the same vision of paranoid fear and intrigue. The title theme is "Guardian Angel" by Juno Reactor, a suitable and exhilirating score set to a dance of images evoking Texhnolyze's dark side. There is no light side.

Don't buy manga, so I got none. I rarely read manga at that.

I own the boxsets by ADV Films of Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo: 2040 and Nadesico. I own bootlag copy of Evangelion. I also own the End of Evangelion. Some Inuyasha movie I never watched I got last X-mas. My collection is nothing impressive.

Please Please Please Please Do not think Texhnolyze was "made by Yoshitoshi ABe". He did some really badass character designs, original character designs, DVD artwork of general good quality, but it was not a work of his mind, or at least, his mind alone. The entire team of Lain is responsible, but Texhnolyze is a really really great anime, I must say.

I've downloaded a loooot of anime, regretably. But I'd like to buy it one day. Or, everything I liked at least.
Though Haibane Renmei is sorta kinda a work by ABe, but heavily (I mean heavily) influenced by Haruki Murakami's "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the world." I'm just not entirely sure how much ABe was involved.

I don't own any anime, though I do "own" a few graphic novels. The first volume of Clover, a few volumes of Inu Yasha (which was really enjoyable in manga form!), Fushigi Yugi and a few random graphic novels.
