You asked this in the IC, but I'll answer it here... (GSB):

When Hinata calls Kiba "Kiba-kun" its a term of affection. Just like with Naruto calling Sakura "Sakura-chan" chan is usually reserved for girls, and kun for boys. I have seen chan used for boys sometimes, too, but usually only the very young, or if they are making fun of them (like to say that they are small or childish). Both chan and kun are used between friends; you wouldn't call someone you just met by one of those terms, because it'd be impolite.

Sama is a polite term, and mostly in anime, I've seen it used for people that others worship or look up to above most others. (dono is another)

You didn't ask about sensei or senpai (also spelled sempai), but I'll tell you about them just in case. Sensei is used for instructors (I am sure you knew that one though) and senpai/sempai is for a person who is either more experienced or a higher rank at work or in school.

There is also danna (which is how Deidara refers to Sasori), which is an old fashioned word (meaning its not seen much in anime, because it's out of date) that means "husband" but also connotates "master" which, I'll admit, is a very weird way for Deidara to address Sasori.

And there is dono, which is how people referred to the hokage at times, it basically means lord, or higher person.

I'm sorry about the boring japanese lesson... I watch waaay too much anime and read waaay too much manga... I hope that was helpful to you, though. The way people address others is important in japan, it lets you know just how they feel about each other. For example, the fact that Tobi refers to Deidara as 'senpai' means he at least acknowledges the other's seniority and experience. (Even if he's a lazy good-for-nothing!)

On a side note, I'd like to add that I went with "yeah" rather than "un" or "mmm" because that was how I read it the first time I saw Deidara and it stuck with me. ^^;;

Well... I don't know what happened to this RP all of a sudden... I was having fun with it, and all of a sudden the other RPers disappeared. I would double-post, but... that's not allowed. I'm guessing this is going to be shut down soon? Maybe sometime in the far future we could try Naruto again. I like the idea of roleplaying in the time-skip rather than during the current story arc, because we don't know what's ahead for the characters. But yeah.... I'm guessing this is going down the toilet.

this is off topic, but i got a new computer and my spelling is not like it used because im not familiar with the keyboard just yet. So i might have a few mistakes here and there but ill try fixing them; getting back on the subject, ill start PM'ing people around 9 tonight because i got work from 3:30 to 8:30 and i have chores and what-not to do.

Well, if this rp had been set at an earlier time period in the series I'm almost certain that there wouldv'e been more interest, that and the sudden and surprising disappearance of the creator didn't help matters. I would like to participate more fully in the rp but the lack of unique characters (user controlled) make it slightly difficult, that and a decent amount are really involved with my characters, I'm still waiting on someone making a Gai sensei profile. As for the rp going down it seems inevitable but I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions, it's something that will have to wait out.

I agree, Shadow X, I think it should have taken place earlier. We're not all caught up with the current manga arc, and even though I am (for now, anyway...), I feel iffy doing a roleplay that has to do with going after the Akatsuki. I love them to death, and don't mind roleplaying with them, but... It feels like character deaths against them are inevitable and it feels weird to take such things in my own hands. Besides, in the time skip era, we could make up all kinds of things (just like they did with the anime ^^; ) and not be messing with the actual intended story line as much. And we could still have the Akatsuki or Sasuke in there somewhere, because it goes back to them from time to time as well, and hell, I'm curious as to what would be going on with them as well. (I love enemies as much as I love heroes, sometimes more, really)

And I was waiting on a Lee as well as a Gai-sensei, so don't feel bad. Poor Ten-ten... She was so lonely. And the creator had Neji, so I thought it was safe to go with her, too.... Poor girl. Maybe we should evolve this RP somehow? It's not like I want to get rid of what we have already done though... Like I said, I was really having fun with it! I was actually RPing for once... (Not to be mean, but I feel like in the other RPs that I'm writing not roleplaying, since my characters are all alone and I have to creat my own situations. That, or I get confused and don't understand what is going on....)

By unique, I assume you mean made-up characters? I've never been comfortable with making an OC for roleplays based on anime/manga/games. I have that problem with fan fiction as well. I prefer to play as characters already in the world, because I like to research and do homework on them. I'm not saying I hate OCs (I usually do in fan fiction, but I actually really like them in most RPs) I'm just saying if I am going to be in the world of Naruto, then I want to be one of the established characters. It's more fun for me, personally.

Anyway, I think (if I may moderate) I think we should have temps. I think three is a nice number of permanent characters to have, but fact is, while we wait around for another person to RP as some major characters we're sorely missing, I think we should have those roles assigned to someone as a temp character, a character that doesn't count as one of your three, that if a new RPer shows up and would like to be that character, that character is open for doing so. Does that make sense? ( I hope it does...)

I will post in the Naruto IC sometime tomorrow if it's here to stay for awhile. It sounds like we all want to do a Naruto roleplay, but we want it to be earlier in the setting, and maybe with the temp idea if you like it.

Since the creator disappeared, you guys can override the rules set previously if there's a need to. So go ahead and take more than three chars if that helps the activity.

If you guys want it... you can even restart the RP. It has never happened before... but then again, we never had a creator's account deleted. But really, up to you. If you need me to do anything, just let me know.

Hmm....Well, when I said unique I meant characters that were controlled by actual users, but some could look at it as being a character not actually in the story. As for restarting the rp I suppose I'm for aswell, for I'm not very tuned into the current and latter arcs of the manga. As for where to start, I say right when the Chuunin exams are starting, after the 1st exam and when they move to the second at the Forest of Death, but that's my opinion, if we were to start there we would have a decent amount of time (er....alot) to do this rp and plenty of scenerios to work with. I'll be waiting for a reply whenever. As for temps, I must agree. Anyways, that's all I have to say for now.

i like the forest of death idea for a begining, but since my character is made-up, i dont know what i would do for the 1v1 parts after the forest.

Yes, I also vote that we re-start the RP, and the Forest of Death part is an all right place to start, but what would we do with GSB's character? Maybe we could arrange a match for him later? Or maybe he is already a Chuunin? But then he wouldn't get to be in the RP.... Hmm... But then I guess the 1v1 thing would be pointless to RP, since we know how that goes... ^^; But I don't know. It'd be a cool place because then characters like Sasuke and Gaara would still be accessible.

But I still kinda like the time-skip era, since we don't know for sure all the things that had happened, and we already know how the forest of death thing turned out and all that stuff...

How about, when the 1v1 part comes... I'll drop out. Unfortunetly however, I will be missing out on A Lot of posting but I find this the only other solution. If the 1v1 goes further towards the sand village invasion, I would like to then jump back in and help fend them off; maybe face one of those 3 headed snakes or venture with the actual character.

I don't mind you submitting a character, Fayt, but keep in mind we're going to be restarting this roleplay (maybe) so that it takes place earlier than it previously did. Akamaru is now back to being a small lap dog, and everyone is back to their pre-timeskip ages/heights/weights/etc. And no need to post in the previous Naruto IC--that needs to be taken down and replaced with a new one, I believe, since the focus of the roleplay has now changed.

Recently, he returned to the Ninja Academy in the Mist village and completed his Genin training. He completed enough missions after that to enter the Chuunin Exams. I don't mean AFTER the timeskip, I mean DURING the timeskip. That way we wouldn't disturb any of the canon plotline (or at least do the minimal amount of damage.)

Where are you at on the current Naruto plot? I'm up to date (finally!) but that's because I've been downloading the manga like a fiend. I actually haven't seen all of the current anime yet, I kinda stopped just before the timeskip.

For the subbed anime (which I prefer to the manga, sorry), I'm up to episode 79. Most of what remains is a filler, but the filler has more plot than I have.

But I do have one random episode thrown in there. The one where Kakashi removes his mask.

But now that you've clarified that your characters are last name first, it's all good. I'm not confused, by the way. Just saying some people can get that way.

And Chrono, all three characters are approved. I like that they're all linked. Good. (Just make sure they get in some interaction with the other characters.)

Also, does anyone know what happened to the previous RPers? Like WillRP4Food? He seemed to have disappeared. I'll go ahead and PM him and the others tomorrow--it's a little late right now--to let them know what's going on, and if they don't show this week, I'll just take them down from the list (unless someone else knows why they are gone). I know I can count on GSB, but the others haven't been as consistent.

Haven't been consistent? If you say so, I said my opinions. Now I'm just waiting till something has been decided. I said what I though about the IC and where the new starting point should be. Like before 'm still for starting before the genin enter the Forest of Death and after the first exam. As for keeping characters, seems that Itachi is the one that's going to lay dorment now and Sasuke is the one I'll be using besides, of course, my main character, Kakashi sensei.

Shadow, were you wanting to keep Itachi? We might be able to come up with some side thing for them, since a couple of us already have Akatsuki. That, or like you said, they'll just be dormant for some time.

Yea, I think I might keep Itachi, but considering that the Akatsuki won't be active for a good while, then I suppose I could make another character to fool around with until the Akatsuki appear. Ya never know, perhaps certain events could render me with one less character.

Well, anyways. My vote is for the chunnin exam(s). I keep hearing this 'time skip' phrase a lot, now unless this is the name of a time in Narto (Ex: Chunnin Exams, The Infultration of Konoha, etc..) then im confused.
I don't need an explantin however, I think that putting effort into explaning it for me is rather pointless at this point. Let's get this RP moving

I'd be happy to spar with you, but make sure your character is on par with Naruto or Gaara.

I have some of it written already, but I have a horrible fever right now, and I have a feeling if I write anything else right now, it'd be inaccurate or just plain stupid. But later tonight if I feel better and tomorrow morning I will go ahead and write the rest up.
