Yeah, I could never figure out how to do Clive's quest, which is a shame because I always used him in my party.
I remember I replayed the fight with Luca Blight a few times as well as....the cooking segments. Salty ice cream...LOL.

I'm on my second playthrough of Suikoden V... I didn't take a break with another game before restarting... then again, last time I didn't get 108 stars (I think I got about 90) and with so many playable characters I wanted to try and have a completly different team. I've enjoyed playing it all again... the beginning was a little tedious and I hate any of the Sinder ruins but the rest of the game is a lot of fun indeed.

i got all 108 stars from the first time in suikoden V, but at the place where u need to go in 3 parties near the end of the game sucks...i mean i am stuck there

, cuz i didnt train much characters and i dont seem interested in playin it soon

Sukiden 1: One and a half times. (Restarted again close to where you fight Teo.)
Suikoden 2: Three times. Wanted to see the Elza and Clive cutscene.
Suikoden 3: One and a half. (Beat it with Chris the first time. Then I started on an extra save file I made right before you chose the Flame Champion. I chose Geddoe this time and beat the game with him.)
Suikoden 4: One time, in Japanese.

Well playing as Thomas I didn't really concider replaying the game, since it's only part of the game.
I assume you mean Luc then? But his story was pretty short compared to the rest. But yes, I did that as well.

nah, I just meant played through game a total of 4 times. 2 times with Hugo as the champ, once with Chris, once with Geddoe.
Athrun
Nov 24 2006, 07:29 PM
I tried with Hugo as the Flame Champion, but there was something about his motivation speach for the troops that didn't seem very convincing or insprational. I don't think Hugo's speach would be able to rise the morale of the troops, to be honest. Chris of course has a way with words, especially when it comes to the leader role that she's come to play even before this. So there's not much to say there. But even Geddoe who doesn't usually say much managed to do this part quite convincingly, if you ask me.
So after I did this part with Hugo, I decided to chose Geddoe instead and didn't continue with Hugo any further than that.
Sydra
Nov 24 2006, 07:58 PM
Chris was my favorite of the three, though I liked Geddoe's group, but I thought that the story really intended for you to use Huge as the champ, though you could choose amoung the three.
Athrun
Nov 24 2006, 08:29 PM
Chris was my favorite as well. And I think the game leaned more towards Hugo getting the fire rune, but I didn't think they handled the leader aspect of being the Flame Champion part for him very well. So I'm not really sure what they had in mind. He seems to be the least involved in the main plot out of the three, and he wasn't as charismatic as the others. But he had his young hero type charm though, and I could easily see him as the FC, but preferably with someone else taking the role as the leader.
But since that didn't happen, I went with Chris instead, since she was my favorite, and it meant seeing more of her.
Anyway, I guess we're a bit off topic here. lol

Suikoden 1: Only played this one 2 times. It just doesn't seem to be it for me, personally.
Suikoden 2: This one I would guess at least 4 times, maybe more. I don't get into the hype over it, but playing without a guide, and writing two faqs for it took me through it step-step more than the average bear.
Suikoden 3: Last time I knew, it was 11 times for this one. Favorite of the series, 3 faqs/guides, and all of the FC: POV explorations.
Suikoden 4: Estimate would be about 5 times. Again, faqs purposes and finally hammering out a decent Trading Faqs for people to use.
Suikoden Tactics: I played this probably 2-3 times through. Much easier to take on re-runs because you can breeze through it like a knife in butter.
Suikoden 5: Wow. This is a game that I love, but don't want to play again for like 3 more years. I wrote 6 faqs for it, and have about 560 some odd hours of my life tucked away into 4 playthroughs the last I looked at my memory card.
Suikogaiden 1-2: Have and am working my way through slowly. Can't say much, as it's a slow process for me.

I only see one trading FAQ on gamefaqs, from Blazefeeler. That would be you then?
I didn't make any FAQ and never have, but I posted a lot on the Sui IV board with my impressions and answered peoples questions along with Kouli and others because I had the Japanese version. So some times I ran around to check on things for people, but it probably didn't add more than an hour or so on my play time. And it was a pretty short game. By 30 hours I had done pretty much everything, including getting all the costumes for Snowe.

Indeed Blazefeeler would be me, Athrun. It took me several playthroughs to get and confirm that I had all of the trading "rumors" or hints available at different stages of the game. Though, if you went to Gamefaqs you should have also seen my name behind the Old Book Guide on the site for this game. I threw it together after many a tops mini-game for people to use as a resource if they like. I've been working on a rune guide now for Suikoden II, considering the site doesn't have one there after all of these years. It's slow going, but eventually I should get it hammered out.

Beating Suikoden IV 4 times is quite easy. The game is quote short, new game + is easier if you still have your armour and such.
I said it before, the game is not bad, it is just outclassed by the others, well alot.
But even though I do not like the game that much, it is a simple game to play, plus I like certain characters in this game, for example Troy.

I was looking forward to the Game+ On suiko V because constant GodSpeed rune sounded like a VERY good thing... but it made a very easy game even easier. I sold all of my armour from the previous game and I didn't equip any of the powerful runes from the game before until I reached them inmy new game but still with all the formations and such still there I found it too easy... Meh... it;s worth it for the GodSpeed rune though...

I've beaten Suikoden II countless times. I've had it for 8, if not 9, year now and it's my favorite game, so that makes sense XD I've also beated Suikoden I a good half dozen times, if not more.
I nearly completed the clive/elza "quest" I was late for the second to last meeting place. I could have made it in time, but I thought I had a hour more than I did so I was going about getting other characters. Ah well. Next time XD
As for Suikoden 3+. I just got a PS2 a few months ago and got 3, 5 and tactics for christmas and got 4 a bit after that, so I have some catching up to do. But I know most of what happened in 3 because I'm a suikoden dork XD And I'm currently playing 5. I played a bit of 3 and Tactics too. I'm really rather liking 5 thus far into the game, so I have a feeling it'll be one that I'm going to play over and over XD

I'm not sure if you've read the topic correctly? Are you saying you've played through the Sukoden games from beginning to end 295 times? Somehow I doubt that. It sounds more like you're talking about how many memorycard save files you have.
