That trailer looks awesome. I have no idea what "Disillusion Beast Caliber" is supposed to mean, but it looks like an ultimate attack for each of the characters.

I never got to play the Tales of Destiny games on PSX, so I hope the new Tales of Destiny gets released in the US.

I think those are the characters Hi-Ougi's. Works similar to Limit Breaks in FF.
This game looks like a lot of fun. I wish Namco would release it outside of Japan, but they didn't for Tales of Destiny 2, so chances are they won't for this either.

Don't expect it to happen. So far, only the 3D Tales game manage to make it to U.S., while Rebirth and Destiny 2, 2D games, never got translated and Namco said they won't bring back older titles, which kills the idea of those games coming to U.S. in the near future, if ever. Since Destiny 2D, I don't expect Namco will bring the game since they likely assume people won't like it. You likely have to import it, like I plan on doing, to play the game.

Yeah, I thought it looked like a remake of the original Tales of Destiny.

I'd really like to see the remake make it here as ToD is my favorite Tales game I've played ( I've only played Destiny, Phantasia a bit on an emu, and Symphonia at this point... Haven't messed with Abyss or Legendia yet ) and it really does look fantastic.

The characters in ToD were awesome so it'd be great to give this game another playthrough after its been remade. The style of the game looks amazing, and the battling looks top notch as always... I hope it comes here.

Well, fans are not quite sure what to make on it's possible chance of coming out of Japan. It's 2D, but at the same time, it's in the 3D world, so we're wondering if it will be brought here or not. I'm still importing the game, but I would prefer to play the game and understand the text. I might just wing the game the first time just to enjoy the battle system.

12-16-2006 - I got my Tales of Destiny game today. I haven't played it yet, but I can't wait!

OMG! I'm so envious... We saw copies of it in Japan and we wanted to buy it, but my father wouldn't let us. >.> I don't even know if it'll be imported and if I can well, buy it in secret or something.

I guess hoping for a translation will only let you down anyway. =/

Seluna, don't you have money. Aren't you 20? Why you got to buy it in secret? My mother bought it for me in Japan. Expensive translated into U.S currency, like 70-80. Still, I had to get the game and she hooked me up with it for X-mas.

It's been quite excellent. I just enter a desert town. Philia Phillis joined my party just recently after obtaining her Swordian. I have a vague idea what's going on, but not exactly. The battle system make up for my lack of understanding of the overall plot.

I'm currently debating if I should get Growlanser 4 and 5. I won't have a clue what's going on in those games if I import them.

You see... I'll totally buy it with the money (or what's left of it, after I spent them on manga) that I earned from the few meagre jobs I have done, but my wonderful father threatened to confiscate the PS2 (which he bought for us like years ago). >.> I really hate this but it's not like I can buy a new PS2 of my own and not get him angry with me.

I think I need to make sure my future life-partner won't threaten me with the PS3.

Eva, why get Growlanser? Don't they usually translate thos games?

Right now, it's pretty much up in the air whether or not Growlanser 1, 4, and 5 will be released in America. Since Working Designs is dead and all. x_x And that new Gaijinworks company seems to be exclusively for XBox. =p

Anyway, getting back on topic.

Activating a Hi-Ougi very simple. Just a basic attack, the press L1 will attack the Hi-Ougi. There's a small meter below your HP meter to know when you can activate your Hi-Ougi. I haven't activate the other Hi-Ougi just yet. So, can't comment on them.

Again, I would suggest importing the game if it doesn't come. It's playable without understanding what's being said.
