I was playing A Link To The Past again on the Super Nintendo. It brought back many memories. So, what memories do you have of this game?

A Link to the Past was, and currently is, my favorite Zelda. (I have Twilight Princess sitting at home right beside where my Wii should be...if I could find one in a store.) This game holds many fond memories and was a big leap from the original Zelda...Yes, Link(The game) is in there too but it doesn't strike my fancy a whole lot.
One of my biggest likings of the game were...the Pegasus Boots! You could sprint easily and around the map, providing quick transportation and nice damage. Not to mention the other great items, such as the medallions.
But the greatest memory would be beating Algahnim(Is that right?) With the bug catching net...

Indeedery... A Link to the Past is for sure the best Zelda game of all times. It really defined, at least to me, what an adventure title should be. Excellent dungeons, lots of little secrets, really cool items to collect ( I heart the hookshot ) and a huge world to explore.
Zelda just hasn't been the same since then. I know a lot of you love the N64 titles and the GC titles, and even TP for the Wii, but they just don't capture the adventure goodness that LTtP did when it first came out.

Well, it WAS my first video game.
I loved finding all the hidden things, and the extra stuff.

Very good game, used to spend a lot of my time playing that one.
I don't think that its my favorite Zelda though... I think Orcarina Of Time takes that, but TED is right, that game really defined what an adventure should be.

memories of this game? hehehe, I was young and didn't know a thing about rpgs, so I would just walk around exploring hacking things up. bushes, signs, soliders, ....chickens
this might have been one of the games to really get me into rpgs.

I played it when I was very very young and found it too hard, and I don't have it anymore, I'd really love to play it, but what I do remember is fighting those green and blue guard guys

Just swining my sword millions of times and hearin em make that sounds and then exploding

good times..
I also remember doing that first boss and running out of arrows all the time ...
and getting peed off!!! ok im ok now...

I remember all the cool items you got in it that were not in any of the others, not saying all of them were needed/useful. BUT! I really liked alot of the stuff either way.

This one is still my favorite Zelda game. The main things I remember about it is getting stuck several times and having to call a "Nintendo-games helpdesk" to solve the problem (no such thing as Internet back then, I didn't even know it existed). I found the game hard as well, but I thought the bosses were really cool. =p
However, I quickly grew tired of the overworld music theme, and I still dislike any older and newer versions of that theme to date.
