I was talking in LC about my backlog of games recently, and I decided to go through it and weet out the games that I no longer intend to play. So here is my current backlogg, in order of completion.

I've taken out games like Shadow Hearts 3 , Wild Arms: Alter Code F , Wild Arms 4 , Star Ocean 2 , Disgaea 1 & 2 , Rogue Galaxy , etc, that I previously intended to play but now I realise that I most likely won't have time for them since I don't really feel like playing them anymore. I ended up taking out quite a few games, but my list is still too big for me to concider it "realistic". So I may have to take out a few more games.

The ones marked in blue are the games I intend to complete first.
The ones marked in red are games I'm uncertain about, and may decide to drop alltogether.

I'm currently playing Tales of the Abyss though, so I may end up finishing that game first.
If anyone wants to comment on my list, or post their own, feel free to do so. Would be nice if you could estimate a % of completion as well if possible, but you don't have to. But it's interesting to know how far into the games people are.

I think I may have you beat with the whole backlog thing but I'm too lazy to list my titles... Just like I'm too lazy to play them.

I blame WoW... It kinda makes me wonder why we bother to buy so many titles if we don't bother spending any time on them.

Yeah you missed out on PS2 for quite a while, so I'm not surprised. My backlog had something over 40 titles before that I seriously intended to play. I think I was a bit more naive a few years ago to think that'd I'd actually have time to play them all.
Life was more simple before. =p

As for Wild Arms 2 and Xenogears, I really don't know if I'll finish either of those games. I just dont really enjoy playing either of them anymore.

The weird thing about me is I like to switch between games a lot. =p I'll play about 20 percent of one game and then play another game for god-knows-how-long. Then switch to two more games, then go back to the games I played before for a while. So I gradually beat two or three games at a time, sometimes, over the course of several months. =p Heck, I'll probably just finish Suikoden 5 sometime later this month now that I'm thinking about it. xD

Lets break it down

Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2 (last dungeon pending)

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana (I dont know, possibly 60% played?)
Dragon Quest VIII (played for three hours, found it boring as hell, I wont be playing this anytime soon)
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (Like halfway I think)
Viewtiful Joe 2 (I am stuch at some sort of underwater level, cant beat the boss)
Resident Evil 4 (disk stalls before the helicopter attack, outside warranty)
Black (last level)
Dynasty Warriors 5 (never intended to play Mushu mode, just wanted something to relieve stress)
Castlevania Curse of Darkness (Just stopped playing, no real reason)
Megaman X Collection (have all games on the sigma levels)
Golden Eye: Rogue Agent (play through 2 levels and got bored)


Played but erased uncompleted data because of space issues:
Devil May Cry 3 (the game just pissed me off, its CHEAP, not difficult, just goddamn cheap)
Hitman Blood money (thing uses 2000 blocks, fck that, i need the space)
Phantom Brave (I HATE that damn attack ring, HATE)
Makai Kingdom (same as Phantom brave)


Barely opened and just tried them on to see if the disc was ok

I have a couple of games backlog. Though, I tend to wait until I'm going to for surely play the game before buying. The only time I bought a new game and let it rot would be FFX-2. Not sure why, but I simply didn't play it. Not like I didn't like it. It's just I didn't play it.

I have a bunch of games I haven't finished. Don't really call it back logging since I have no plans on ever finishing them. Might finish them, but currently, I have no interest to finish them.

Athrun, If your definatly going to finish Xenosaga II (which isn't the easiest game to get through anyway) then you should most definatly finish off the series. Episode III had a lot more fun gameplay and seeing as you claim to be such a big Xenosaga Freak you surely want to know how it ends.

Also why is Final Fantasy XII grey? Your the one who convinced me to buy it when it comes out... You raved and ranted about it like a crazy man and now your just going to leave it at 50%? Atty Respect going down...

haha I'm just kidding but seriously... send me all those games you just can't be bothered to finish... I've got too much free time...

My only backlog is
Wild Arms 3 - Fun battle system but exploration makes me not want to play it.
Resident evil 4 - I'm about 80% through the whole story but I havn't played it in months... I'm pretty sure I'll need to start again or go from an earlier save to get back into it
Devil May Cry - My memory card is too full and this has a large save game file... but I'm getting a memory card for Xmas so it's all good.
Ratchet and Clank 2 - Same story as DMC, except I got about 90% through the game when I deleted it... I was too few bolts and my weapons were underlevelled meaning that I was stuck gathering bolts... *yawn*
Star Ocean: till the end of time - My friend lent it to me 6 months ago... I'm just not a huge fan.
Soul Reaver 2 - again problems with Memory Card space... plus too many damn puzzles...

See I have a few games... but nothing exception that I'm just ignoring like Atty (except maybe DMC... but that's not for long... and maybe Resident Evil 4)

Because thats how Hicks works. I remember when Shadow Hearts Covenant was released and he praised the damn game and the first one on Live Chat everytime we were there. So I was convinced to buy the game and after i did i finished it and Hicks had not beaten it still, it went on for about a month and still hadnt finished it. He just has to take care of his spyware business.

Umm... try about 10%... although the tedious and long introduction is over now and so you can start getting into the main chunk of the game.

As for SMT... I'm not sure myself... it seems like a pretty long game... Negotiating with monsters is actually starting to annoy me. But I'll leave that for the SMT topic...
