As the year draws its end, I was hoping we could all just sit and look back at this year for all the games that we played and did not. Which of the ones did we really enjoyed and which were the ones we regret to have even bothered playing? You could simply make a list of the ones you've played and say something about your favorite or most hated game you played this year. =)

wow ive played a lot of games this year but ill give it a try.

Radiata Stories - wow where do I begin.. while it had some funny parts in it, the game was very poorly done and gathering characters was a joke..

Grandia III - This game wouldnt have been that bad except I wanted to just kill off every character, they were terrible. No real depth and some voice acting that made Riku from Final Fantasy look good.

World of Warcraft - Great game, first MMO ive played in a long time that could rival Ultima Online and in a lot of ways surpass it. 60 PALLY FTW!!

Tony Hawk 8 - Actually a good Tony Hawk game. This one I really enjoyed compared to the last 4 or so Tony Hawk games. The option of creating your own move was a nice touch.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent - Well this game is ok at best, but is made even worse by the lackluster co-op play. I played this with my friend and most of the time we really had no idea what we were doing on missions. The missions never really feel like you are doing much towards a story line, instead just feel like very random missions.

Final Fantasy XII - You know I really did enjoy this game at first but it slowly wore on me and really bored me to tears. I love the story and I love the characters, but it almost seems like I am having to do too much grinding in between the story. Im all for lvling, but when I have to spend an hour or so out of the story to lvl and side quest, im not happy.

Tales of the Abyss - LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! behind Suikoden is Tales as my favorite games series. I love the characters, story is a bit confusing but good and its fun.

NHL 2k7 - Good enough game i guess, the play is ok. I dont know, they just have not been able to nail a good hockey game down, always too many negatives.

Valkyrie Profile 2 - I tried so hard to like this game but I just couldnt. Didnt care for the characters, story seemed good but it just seemed like they never push the story enough and the fighting was boring as hell..

Suikoden V - Loved it.. IV left a bit of a bad taste and V quickly removed that. Good story, good characters, cool home base, everything gravy for me, another Suikoden title well done

k well im sure there is more, may add some later .. overall a decent year of video games.

Glad to have played:

Tales of Symphonia- This game I got for my 8th grade graduation and I beat it in about a week or two...I just thought the gameplay and story were excellent. The music was superb too.

Star Ocean 3- The battle system really got me here. The music was good too, and the story was fine, but seemed rather linear.

Xenosaga Ep. 1- ...By far the best except to Legend of Dragoon.

Jak X: Combat Racing- intense and frustrating at times.

FFVII-I didn't get very far but what I played I liked.

Flops: (at the moment anyway...)

Dragon Quest VIII- Everything except the music when you're wandering around on the world map.

FFIX-Story was dreadfully boring for me.

Ratchet: Deadlocked- A letdown after the first three, but not too terrible of a game.


I haven't really played that many games this year, but these are the ones I have...Overall I liked most of them that I played through th ecourse of the year.

Resident Evil 4 (PS2) - Played and beat it, with both Leon and Ada. Great game that you can play many times. Real good replay value.

Grandia 3 - Played it for a few hours at least, and it was enjoyable so far.

Suikoden V - Played up to getting Lucrecia. Great game, and I really look forward to finishing it.

All of this was pretty much around Feb - Mar 2006. Since then I only played FF 12 and Tales of the Abyss just recently. Didn't play anything during spring/summer/fall, and I haven't beaten these games either.

So it hasn't been a very memorable gaming year for me.

Another couple of games that I enjoyed this year that I forgot to mention:

Burnout Revenge 360 - This game had some really frustrating parts, but overall, its a fun experience, especially for getting rid of stress.

Kingdom Hearts II- imo, better than the first, I liked the darker story and I thought all of the old worlds were improved and the new worlds were nice, especially the pirates level.
