Nintendo of America has announced that their upcoming Nintendo DS titles Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond will be hitting our shores on April 22, 2007. Players will be able to transfer their pokemon from the Game Boy Advance iterations of the titles by placing them in the Nintendo DS's Game Boy Advance slot.
"After recently celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Pokemon franchise continues to get stronger," said George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. "These two new titles represent the best that Pokemon has to offer, and a great opportunity for Game Boy users to upgrade to Nintendo DS."
These new Pokemon titles for the DS are the first to be enabled for online play, allowing users to play or battle across the street or across the world. Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl will be rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.

Pokemon still kicking, even in the US.
The most interesting feature of the newest Pokemon installment would be you're allowed to be play online against other people. Too bad this feature was not aroundwhen I enjoyed Pokemon.
