I was reading the manual and it said to give out all the info adress age credit card and then im supposed to get some 30 day free trial. Does it automaticly bill the card every month or does it just not let u log on until u choose to purchase another month or more?

It automatically bills your card.
And if you aren't already aware, You only need XBL Silver to play FFXI.

You do. But thats a Playonline ID, which is a service that Square Enix offers for its games. Playonline only has two games in america, but it has six games in japan. (5 since Fantasy Earth died)
Xbox Live Silver lets you go on live to download demos and things like that. Thats all you need to play this game as far as costs go. Playonline ID's also work with the playstation and PC versions of the game.
Unlike all the other versions of the game, though, this one executes off of the disc instead of the hard drive. So you need the disc at all times.

so I dont need to pay 13 bucks a month for a content ID to play the game? If so and I can just use the silver or gold which I have to play it, how do I go about setting it up? Whenever I put the cd in it automaticly goes to this play online screen that asks for all my data and then my card number. Can I fill all that out without getting billed and still play the game free?
I figured once they had the card number the monthly billing would start right away.

If you use XBSilver you only have to pay $12.99 a month (if thats the price now a days) + $1.00 for every other content ID you purchase (use one content ID for each character you have).
I use to play on Xbox till i dont have any time for it anymore. so i know for a fact that you can use XBSilver to play it.
You use a Credit card to pay for it and it automaticly recharges on your card every month untill you cancel it. (so when you quit make sure you cancel it

I am from China and also want to try out to play the online 360 thing.
The problem is they don't take local cards and I don't have the international credit card....
I am searching around on solving this now. Has anyone got a solution for it?
