Okay over the past month I've noticed some things concerning the Wiimote. One is that I have been constantly changing the batteries about once every couple of days, which has really started to annoy me. I also noticed that Twilight Princess drains the Wiimote battery a lot faster than titles like Trauma Center or Wii Sports. I don't know whether it's the nunchuk use, or the amount of sound that comes out of the controller, or just that I'm playing for longer periods, but it seems that Twilight Princess uses the most battery power. Has anyone else noticed this not only with TP but with other Wii titles?

I think it lasts 25 - 30 hours if you have the nunchuck, and 50 hours if it's just the Wiimote? Something like that I think. But either way, yeah the nunchuck takes up more battery power.

Basically, you need a battery charger along with the Wii, or you'll end up very poor from buying batteries all the time. I don't see why Nintendo couldn't have made their controlers rechargable like PS3 and X360's.

Yeah it's really weird that they're not rechargable but my roommate just has some battery chargers or something like that for his.

He has yet to replace his batteries but he hasn't really gamed on the Wii all that much. I wouldn't assume they'd eat up too much battery life so I'm sure Atty's estimate would be correct.

They should offer rechargable controllers somepoint in the future.

Well luckily I went out today and found those rechargable batteries with the charger itself, thank god. What is even more weird is that this morning while I was playing Twilight Princess, the prompt came up saying I needed to change batteries, so instead I just turned the game off and decided to hit the store. When I came back from the store and turned the Wii back on, the battery life displayer thing on the Wiimote said I had 2 little battery things left? Now I really have no clue as to what is going on?

But yes, Nintendo should definetly had released a control that recharges when not in use, maybe they'll do that in the near future.

I think it warns you when you're running low on batteries. Not sure if it does it when you have two bars left though. But some times batteries seem to "recharge" a bit if you turn the system off for a while. That's true for most electronics products.
