How much does it cost what exactly do you have to have to enable it? Does it allow you to connect to people far away, or only locally?
Grahf
Wi-Fi is free assuming that you can connect, otherwise you have to buy some adapter for your computer, and it lets you play with people all over the place, not a local thing.

i looked it up online, you have to have a wireless router. sleep.gif;
Now the question is.... Is it worth it????

First of all you don't need a wifi router you can also buy a usb stick wich you can plug in you're pc (with internet acces ofcourse) and need to instal a thing or two and you can go online. It cost's about 30-40 $

The connection from the games itself is very easy, you just have to search for wifi adapters and configure it, wep key and that kind of things. After that you can click on wifi and the game searches opponents from around the world or from youre region and you will be gaming in a few minutes

I think it's really worth it to buy cause nothing beats a good multiplayer game instead of killing that stupid bots. Do you have a lot of ds games that have a wifi function in it? I myself play a lot of mario kart and metroid prime hunters and I really enjoy the online aspect of it. So I do think it's worth to go online with youre ds cause it really extends the lifetime of youre games.

Here's a link to the usb thing:

Hope you have fun with it when you decide to buy it

There's also the so called hotspots where you can just go search and connect. I've tried it myself and I must say it is very easy stuff. So yeah it's defintely worth it.

Routers believe it or not are becoming very popular since a house will most likey have more than one person who wants to use the internet. Buying a router will prove useful in the future so I recommend this if you wanting to play online with your DS.

The DS Wifi is a somewhat limited and ephemeral experience. While there are a handful of games to choose from to play online, most of them don't last very long. There is no online interaction due to Nintendo's ridiculous method of babysitting it's users because of the common demoninator of most casual/new gamers being apprehensive about interacting with others online. Additionally, Friend Codes are about as annoying as you can get.

Want my friendcode wink.gif

I agree on that, it was better that you could just add friends when youve played against them instead of getting their friendcode first. But papa Nintendo takes good care of his sons and daughters and protects them very well.

But the games wich use wifi are growing in number. But I don't agree with the lifetime of the games, I've been playing mario kart for example for a long time online and still not getting bored with it. So that depends from player to player
