2006 closed and finished. A lot of anime was released last year, but what stood out to you? What's the best and worst anime released 2006 you got to watch during 2006?
Here's a list of all the anime released from Anime-Source.
http://www.anime-source.com/banzai/modules...age&pid=971Off the top of my head...
1. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
2. Innocent Venus
3. Fate/Stay Night
4. Kamisama Kazoku
5. Kanon 2006
It's not my final list since I've not been following anime during the fall. Overall, another interesting year of anime. We did have disappointment in Ergo Proxy, mainly due to all the hype, but in the end, it's a solid series, though I'm sure a lot of people were expecting the a great series due to all the hype before it's actual release. For me, I was disappointed in Air Gear anime myself. Toned down compared to manga. I still haven't watched it completely, but the expected much faster animation and the fan service was toned down compared to manga.

From your list, I've only watched the Melancholy of SH, and Fate Stay Night. Both are awesome, but Fate SN is better. It was just fantastic: from the battle scenes to music and character and story development.
SH was a fun comedy, but for me, FSN has a greater value. Especially because it was FINISHED, unlike SH.
So, the anime of 2006 for me is FSN. Great stuff.

1) I wanna say it but I'm not sure if it was released 2005 or 2006 in America. (Eureka Seven)
2) Fate/Stay Night
3) Full Metal Panic The Second Raid
4) Ergo Proxy
5) Guyver

Considering I haven't finished alot of them, my list isn't a final.
1. Fate/ Stay Night
2. Innocent Venus
3. Ouran High School Host Club
4. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
That's the list currently for me since I've been having net problems so alot of the series I was watching is backlogged.
I hope to add NHK on the list just because I love that series for no apparent reason but I'm not sure if the ending is going to be ruined. It's actually made not far off the manga, they took out alot of the drug references so meh.
FSN, I love even if I still think it needs another series to carry it off but I'll guess we'll see. Ouran, I enjoyed alot I know they kind of got boring in the middle of the series but I did enjoy the characters and the ending was sweet xP.
I think someone told me there was going to be a second season of Haruhi coming soon, I can't remember who told me, but it would be great to see Haruhi in action again.

Dang it just had to be about anime only hahahaha. 8P
Umm, I think the only one I've watched and liked entirely out of that entire list was Ouran High School Host Club.
And one that I really didn't like was Nana. D: The manga sooooo overpwns the anime.

1. Fate/Stay Night
2. Ergo Proxy
3. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
4. Witchblade (Even if they're being slow retards about it)
5. Gundam SEED Destiny (Was 2006, I think.)
Fate/Stay Night takes the cake, hands down. Just.. wow.
I fully intend on getting my hands on the game eventually, or at least trying to find some CGs from it, because the art was gorgeous. The music was excellent, just.. everything came together on it.

Well, he more or less meant that came out and finished in 2006. Monster finished in 2005, and Texhnolyze finished in 2004.

I can't make rating lists and jazz, but I'll make my list as follows.
Death Note
D.Gray-man
Fate/stay-night
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Gooooore, but I so did not like that ending. I demand more bloody murders! 8D)
Ouran Koukou Host Club
I like each and every one of them for their own reasons and since they're all pretty vastly different; I can't simply choose my top for 2006 or anything like that.

Lost Seraphim

Eureka Seven
Bleach
Air Gear
Death Note
These garnered most of my attention last year. I've also been slowly but steadily following the manga for E7 and Air Gear. The first DVD volume of Air Gear is coming out over here February 7th, and I can't wait. I began watching Death Note rather late in the year, but it's certainly one of the most mature and satirical animes I've seen in recent memory, and I was quickly drawn into it by the pilot alone.
