Dragon Brigade
Anyone here remember King's Quest? This was a classic series...The only one I myself have seen and played is..V. The one with a minotaur on the cover. When I played it I only ever got as far as the island with the dwarves. They scared me so bad, I was never sure if they'd turn on me and kill me. Another troublesome spot was the wall were we had to climb up it on the correct stones...That's as far as I got. My older sister played it to the end. From the market place in the beginning to the wedding. The underworld was interesting, especially the bone dance. And I liked the wedding at the end of the game, because the standard wedding music was in a minor key XD How clever of them. My sister died a few times trying to break the wedding up in time before the Princess married the wrong guy...*sigh* good times. So, anybody else remember this series? Have any good memories?

Wow! Kings Quest 3 was one of the first games I played other than arcade games like pac man lol! I think must have been around 8 or 9 years old.

I never could figure out how to get out of that bloody wizards house biggrin.gif I still loved that game though.

Yeah, this is one of the first games I was introduced to too. One set of my cousins were big into computer games, and they've played pretty much ALL of the King's Quest games...It's a shame the games don't work on their computer anymore...they have to get rid of them (last they said, I think) and V doesn't work on the one at my house either...The computer we used to play it on was an old junker, and we recently chucked it...so no more KQ for me...but a great series happy.gif

Yeah I definitely remember this game. I only played one of them, but it was great. Kings Quest VII.

You played as the mother looking for her daughter, and I think some times you were in control of the daughter as well. I love these pickup-games. Wish they made more of them, but I think the genre is dead, sadly. =/

Was KQ7 a ponit and click like the original Broken Sword series? I only as The KQ3 I remember wasn't a point and click you controlled your character with the arrow keys and typed in the questions you wanted to ask the NPC's - such as "ask barmaid for a drink" or "get potion" etc.

Heh heh I still remember being a naughty kid and typing in swear words when my parents were around and being told that I am "a naughty wizard using words like that" blush.gif ohboy.gif

Bloody hell thinking back to this just makes me realise how long ago that was nearly 20 years ago thatsuck.gif and that means you wasn't even born Dragon Brigade blink.gif god that makes me feel old.

Here are some screen shots of KQ3 ahh the nostalgia smile.gif

EDIT I just realised this KQ3 is some sort of free remake which is available to download I just had a go its been changed quite a fair bit, its been turned into a point and click which works well but the basics are the same.

PS I hope its ok to post that downloadable since it doesn't seem dodgey in any way

Ohh yes i remember this series. This is a series that I would love to see revived in todays consoles.

I have played all of them. Kq1-8. 8 was the last game that they made, it is also the most different. It is more of a hack and slash sort of game.

I have only beaten KQ6 and 7. They were both really good and fun. I espeically loved KQ6. I mean it had this strong fairly tale sort of feel to it. Also the puzzles were pretty fun.

I remember when I was a little kid, I used to play KQ 4 and Black Cauldron on my dads PC. I beat Black Cauldron years later. I never beat KQ4.

I spent a lot of time wandering around, trying to figure out what to do. I even printed out walkthroughs for them. However in the end It was only two that I beat.
These were classic games and it is really sad that they died.

My grandma used to have King's Quest VI on her computer when I was younger, and I used to play that game to death whenever I was over. Haha. Fun game, with several ways of playing through it. I always like the long way, with the trip to the underworld and whatnot. It was a bit more challenging at some parts and all, but it added to the fun factor.

Always had fun finding new ways to kill the main character, as well. XD
Stepping the wrong way off a stepping stone on the cliff? Classic. Especially at the bottom area, where he would just fall on his bum and make some sort of "Ouch!" exclamation. Haha. Fun times...
