I recently got Kingdom Hearts 2 and begun playing and was pleased to see a Mulan world, which in turn got me thinking, what worlds have they missed off of the disney checklist. This then further led to me thinking, if there is a Kingdom Hearts 3, what worlds would I like to see. I figured I would post the question to you guys and see what your thoughts are?

That's most of the worlds where any fighting can take place covered I think... I guess Jungle Book could be one but they've already covered simular worlds with Tarzan and The Lion King...

Robin Hood might work although I don't really remember that film... I'm not even sure I've seen it... Maybe Toy Story would be really cool, but you'd have to sort that all out with pixar and I'm not sure how it would work being that it's already computer animated. The style would have to be perfect and once again they'd need to re-design Sora, Goofy and Donald...

I have no idea where they'll go, maybe they'll just repeat all the worlds again... MONEY!

I know Pixar worlds were being heavily considered for KH2, but that was eventually halted, for legality issues I'm sure. I know A Bug's Life world was being contructed, but it was scrapped late into the development process. Hopefully things (particularly partnerships) will be sorted out by KH3's development.

After had a glimpse of what KH3 will be like. I'm expecting something more realistic like what they already did in KH II, eg. Pirates of Carribean world.

Toy Story might work too, more titles like "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame", "Lilo And Stitch", "Finding Nemo", "A Bug's Life" also come to mind.

But I'm more into... "SpiderMan", "DareDevil", "The Three Musketeers" yah, movies like these. Would be hilarious to see Sora helping SpiderMan.

I've never seen Cars, but maybe they'll add that world in the game. Robin Hood would be a cool idea I think. I love Robin Hood characters. =p

Im not too fussed aslong as they dont recycle more than half the worlds from the previous game like KH2 did.

Oh yeah, Toy Story.

Toy Story would make a good world. Monsters Inc would be pretty good to I rekon.
They haven't done pochahontas...but it was a pretty crap film.
I'm not all the way through KH2 yet but I rekon a world actually based on Sleeping Beauty would be pretty good.
I forgot about Robin Hood, that would work really well. They could do a Snow White world with the mirror and the seven dwarfs. They could put in a story line where the dwarfs mistake you for being evil just so you can slap Dopey with the keyblade.
If they were gonna include 3D worlds, i'm pretty sure the Wild wasn't a pixar film.
They haven't done a world on Atlantis yet...or Treasure Planet. I think Atlantis would be okay but Treasure Planet would be a hench world to explore. I'd love that.

Well Lion King is my fav movie, along with Mulan and Beauty and the Beast. I'm happy that they put those into KH2. I haven't beat KH2 yet furthest I've got is like.. Pirates of the Carribean. Uh.. hmmmmm. Not sure hehe.

They should bring back worlds from the 1st one, like Wonderland! That is my favorite world.

EDIT: And they should have Destiny Island and Traverse Town also.

NO MORE WONDERLAND... I am an Alice in wonderland obsessive but that world sparked no interest in me whatsoever... and going round in circles constantly wasn't paticulaly fun either...

They should have a back to the future world... I don't give a damn that it wasn't disney...

But KH is about Disney and SquareEnix.

Aha, I know. Despite of using Disney worlds, they could use SquareEnix worlds instead. Like exploring FF VII's Midgar, FF VIII's Balamb garden, FF IX's Alexandria, etc etc many more. Someone should forward this to SquareEnix. lol

Or stop making worlds where you turn into something not human. Costumes are cool, but turning into a lion made me feel like it was another game or something!

EDIT: Improve the gummi ship levels

If we're talking about gameplay that should be changed then there are lists... but the gummi ship on KH1 was annoying to play through... Luckily as long as you find a way to hold down the fire button you can get from beginning to end of most of the levels without dying (Yeah you'll take the odd damage but not much more). The Gummi ship section should be optional IMO...

As for playing Square worlds I don't think that's a paticulaly great idea with maybe the exception of a Midgar-esque world... not because I love midgar but because a cyberpunk style world would be pretty damn cool...

Final Fantasy world? Most Final Fantasy characters are scatter through different worlds in the KH universe.

Anyway, a Chicken Little and Lilo & Stitch might come next. There's a lot of possible worlds they could use from Spirited Away to Monsters, Inc. What about Atlantis?

The obvious one that I expected to see in KH 2, The Sword in the Stone. Sora pulling out a Keyblade, I can so see that happening.
But it's likely that Sora and Riku won't play a big role in the next game, so whoever is the main character of KH 3 I guess.

The keyblades are all rusty, it's not like Sora and Riku to abandon it.
But there are 3 armored soldiers, 2 men 1 woman. Could they be Sora, Riku and Kairi ? lol
I was thinking about this KH3 place sets up 100 years ahead after KH2. XD

I heard that the main character was going to be Sora again. They would have to keep him as it would not be the same if they changed it because Sora is the chose link between the worlds they cant have a different one after him being in both games already.

Kingdom Hearts without Sora is like Mario without Mario, or Zelda without Link, or Metroid without Samus.

The thing is Mario isn't subject to Time the same as Sora... and Link is not always the same Link in each Zelda... Sora is growing up and I do think the torch has to be passed down to someone else... I think Sora should be in the games just not as the main character... a bit like that Zoro film where the old Zoro trains the new Zoro. Personally, I don't see how they are going to continue to make very many more KH games... if it were just a SE game then it could go on forever, but they have to include Disney in some way and they are just plain running out of Disney worlds. Also how are they going to keep the story fresh when in every game you have to visit disney worlds for some reason?

I really have to agree with Flame on his notions. Quite a number of things are threatening its extension, between the partnerships and source limitations. Although it seems, to me at least, that KH is a series that is becoming mature progressively with each installment, and I'm glad Flame mentioned the fact that they are all getting older. So the direction it could take is somewhat unpredictable at this point. Just the endings in themselves leave behind a trail of questions alongside the answers. Within two games alone, the series has already shown its flexibility. I'm not going to doubt that there's more left to be seen.

I'm going with that. They were children in KH, then teenagers in KH2 and the KH3 they should be adults. Hopefully, they'll make Sora look older, which they failed to do in KH2 outside the deeper voice and being slightly taller.

The game could take place many years in the future, but it's not the game is bounded by the law of reality.

Well, for the worlds. I'd like to see these worlds. And some that I'd like to return.

- Hollow Bastion. There's usually plentiful spots to level up your characters
- Hercules' whole world, as we've seen only the coliseum
- Castle Oblivion
- Finding Nemo


Too bad that the New York-esque world; The World That Never Was (final world of KH2), would've been another challenging world in KH3. Still, at least we'll get to see it one more time during Final Mix.

I'd enjoy a stroll through a 'Roger the Rabbit' world, or a world with the Muppets.
A Robin Hood world also be cool too.
Though, the one I would really like to see is a word modeled after the Tales Spin show.

Yeah, I'd like to see a Robin Hood world or even Finding Nemo, and, like Zeta said, the whole of Hercules' world since we only got to see the Coliseum. I can't really think of any other Disney movie worlds that they haven't used already that I like...

Hmmm... well I'm looking at a complete list of Disney movies right now, and some worlds that would be kinda cool are:

The Jungle Book
The Rescuers/Rescuers Down Under
The Great Mouse Detective
Pocahontas
Toy Story

I can't see how they'd really make all those worlds work though. But I defintiely definitely definitely hope there are some Final Fantasy worlds. I'll forever hate Disney if they continue to force themselves in every aspect of Kingdom Hearts.

I'd rather go to Midgar than another Disney world.

I'm leaning more towards some Final Fantasy worlds as well. Only a few though. I'd just really like to see some of the more well-designed worlds, like say... Esthar (FF8), Zanarkand (FFX), and I REALLY think Alexandria from FF9 would be great for a KH too.

Other than that, I'd really like to see more original KH worlds. Places like Hollow Bastion and The World that Never Was were great. The Disney characters are a nice touch to the KH series, but I think we've had too much of the Disney worlds over the last 2 games. It already began feeling a little repetitive, but they barely managed to keep it interesting enough to get away with recycling the same worlds again. I don't think it'd work a 3rd time, and most of the unused worlds are from less popular or less interesting movies, so yeah. And in KH2 I remember I always seemed to just want to rush through the Disney worlds to see a new original world or story scene involving Order XIII and all that.

Another concept I've been thinking about would be to have more interaction going on between Disney and FF characters. Whether it was in an FF or Disney world, if the conflicts were between the FF characters and the Dinsey heroes/villains, it'd be more interesting than just walking through the script of the Disney movies again. For example, FF villain(s) attacks a Disney world, or vice versa. Maybe an evil Disney character like Malificent attacking Alexandria, with say a mix of characters like Merlin and Garnet to defend it? There's a lot of ways they could work that type of interaction out, and it'd definitely add a fresh and interesting twist with more point to each character's presence in the game. Ridiculous maybe, but most things in the game are, yet we love it.

But yeah... in short, if they redo the same worlds, they definitely at least need to change the events going on within them. But as I said, I'd definitely like more original KH worlds either way, with hopefully an FF world or 2 thrown in.

What would REALLY be incredible would be a system of like, "world map" worlds. Like in the original Kingdom Hearts there were the 9 worlds or whatever, and you just traveled by Gummi Ship, but what if there was like, a world map of planets? And space travel wouldn't be linear, like, choose a world and then fly for 5 minutes, ud fly your gummi ship and explore space looking for worlds, like how a real world map functions. In a real world map you run around and look for the town or something, that'd be cool if they could do the same somehow.

There would be so many advangages to this too, you could make a ton of extra worlds/dungeons. You could have worlds like Agrabah and the Colliseum be there without having the storyline be repetitive. Like, I love the Coliseum battles, but if it was a side world that you had to explore the world map to find it'd allow fans who don't wanna see the old Disney Worlds over again to skip.

They could do this with the old worlds, or create even new ones. I think the game lacked explorative worlds and free-walking around systems. Like, the game was so linear, usually. I'd like to be able to go around more like a typical RPG.


But in terms of changes I want to see, I DEFINITELY wanna see a change in the party system. I guess the fact that Donald and Goofy won't be around anymore is enough of a change, but it'd be cool if you could switch to control users in your party, much like FFXII.

As for worlds themselves though, Final Fantasy Worlds are REALLY encouraged. I don't know how many more Disney worlds you can use, but I'd love to see worlds like Nibelheim, Esthar, Balamb Garden, Alexandria, Zanarkand, and any other interesting FF Worlds.

The only FF worlds that I would like to see would be Midgar and Esthar. I can certainly imagine fighting Hearless in a Modgar-esque world... but we've already seen that in the secret trailer of the first Kingdom Hearts. I haven't played the second game so I don't know if you actually go there but if you do I think that crosses Midgar off the list.

Esthar was the only other truly interesting place I can think of in any Final Fantasy game but I just can't imagine it being a Kingdom hearts world. All the other places seem very generic... except Zanerkand I guess but that's very much like Esthar and Midgar mixed together.

Well, Disney Pixar is one that I think they should and will include. Particularly Toy Story with toy versions of the characters. I'd even go as far as to suggest them using real dolls from the official merchandise toy line to theese world.

The Incridibles would be incridble too... But Cars, for instance, even though is a great movie, I don't think it'll work...

Emperor's New Groove is one that I really wanna see! Kusco and Kronk are so funny! XD
There's a whole lot of worlds they could use, like Jungle Book, The Wizzard of Oz, The Sword and The Stone, Robin Hood, The hunckback of Notre Dame, Atlantis, etc.
The only world I'm not eager to see is Pocahontas! That movie was BOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!!!

Other than that, I really hope Jack Sparrow comes back (though I'd like Johnny Depp would dub him, not that the other guy was bad...).

but I supose they could add 1 or 2 world from the TV series, be it live action or cartoon, althoug I don't know much about those...

I'd also like they'd add something Duck Tales, I really enjoyed that show when I was little! *nostalgic*

I'd sugest Gyro Gearloose for suporting (like Merlin), although I'm don't havy any suggestion on what except that it would have to be something technical and crazy, as usual! XD

As for villains, there are still great ones just waiting to being used, like the Beagle Boys, Magica De Spell and Yzma, that could easely rival Meleficent, although she is more comic.
