I know this is a lame question but I bought TP(Wii) today and I really need help with getting that women her cat back. Ive got the bobbing fishing rod(Hawk) and I used the hawk for the bee larvae but I cant use it. Also I find the fishing technique hard anyway, I followed the instructions in the manual but it doesnt seem to work. Everytime I use the wiimote to pull the fish (Fish ON) It comes out with nothing.

Any Ideas?

I had a similar problem like that when i first played to the point where I asked someone else to do it for me. ^^;

I sort of got the hang of it at the fishing hole in Lake Hylia, but don't you have to hold down the button once it says Fish on? o.o Sorry, if I'm not much help, but that's what I did and it seemed to work. (The fishing technique is pretty hard, I feel for ya :[)

The easiest way for the initial fishing is very different to fishing later on at the fishing hole (which is what they tell you about in the manual I think). So I'll tell you this in steps.
1. Stand next to the cat (Just a good spot)
2. Simply pick the rod and throw the remote forward so that the bob goes in the water
3. Hold whatever button it is (I think it's the b-Button) and shake your controller a tiny bit. This gets the fish's attention.
4. Leave the rod still until a fish comes
5. When a fish bites the bob will be pulled down, at this point point your wiimote straight up at the ceiling and hold it there until the fish is caught.

Just a final note, I think you have to catch two fish. One for you and one for the cat. (I think that this was just put into the game to make sure that ou can fish properly).
