I was wondering if there were any other listeners of King Diamond here. Great metal, with very high pitched vocals that just fit well with the band. Really I don't expect many responses here because they are not very well known, but they did have a few songs in Clerks 2. During one of the Jay and Silent Bob scenes they are blasting the song "Welcome Home" by King Diamond, which is one of my favorites.
They are really a different sound that most metal fans are probably not used to. But definatly check them out if you get a chance.

lol I think I've been listening to King Diamond for about jeez... 7 or so years now? King Diamond was one of the first metal bands I got into ( Along with King Diamond's other band, Mercyful Fate ) along with the likes of In Flames.
I love King Diamonds vocal range and his albums are all concept based and usually quite enjoyable. My favorites are House of God and Them, for sure. I know his last album released was The Puppetmaster, which I own, and it's pretty badass.
Definitely not metal for everyone because of the crazy high falsetto's that Diamond can hit, but I find his music to be quite entertaining and some of the stories behind the album ( Especially the House of God CD ) To be very badass.

I must concur. Melissa and Don't Break The Oath are classics to me. His live shows are equally entertaining as well. He's a very talented vocalist, as mentioned, and he holds his voice well live. I wish I owned more of his work as King Diamond, but I have both Abigail's, both of which are excellent concept albums, as TED mentioned with his "Them" and House Of God. He's a good songwriter, as well as a vivid storyteller.
It's been awhile... I think I'm going to dig what I have up now.
