I going to fight the New Queen's Battle, and for some reason, I read ahead and saw the choice to make. Foppish and probably useless Euram Barows or the cute and mysterious Eresh? I'm inclined towards Eresh for battle purposes, but Euram seem to give some interesting minor tiny twists in background plot.
What did you guys choose?

Eresh, without a doubt in my mind. I read through the strategy guide a little (not the walkthrough itself, but character profiles and such) before even playing the game, and right away, I hated Euram. XD (Found Eresh to be a pretty interesting character right away this way, too.) Hated him even more after meeting him in the game, and he's more-or-less useless. Eresh, on the other hand, gives you access to a handful of great items in her sidequest (though it is possible to get most of them without actually recruiting her), and she's a pretty awesome spellcaster, if I do say so myself. Wound up using her in my final party, that's for sure.
I treated Euram like garbage every chance I got. XP

I chose Euram, simply because the scenes with him, cheesy as they may be, made me melt into a pile of goo.
Eresh had no such joys. My brother had gotten her though.

Well I got Euram thinking it might be slightly humerous or interesting to see him and there might be some scenes between him and his sister which would be interesting... however it was all quite dissapointing. I'm going for Eresh this time because Euram brought nothing to the table except a couple of extra scenes that just show a very unatural character change... really nothing special.
I'd say go for Eresh... It's a lot more mysterious plus another character (quite powerful I hear)...

I chose Eresh the first time, simply because I loathe Euram. He really annoyed me during the times I met him in the game and when I found out that Eresh is bonded with Euram as in you can only pick one of them, my choice was quite simple.
Besides, Eresh is quite funny, speaking in third person all the time and she is quite interesting, considering she knows Jeane and I think she has even a higher rank than Jeane.
Also, her bathing scene is funny, aswell as disturbing.

Eresh, definitely. i hated the Barrows. Euram's only upsides were enabling me to recruit Alhazared, Isabel, & Matthius- and the trap with Roy was one of the funniest scenes in the game.
Eresh has a funnier scene in the bath house.

Sis, you're asking the obvious to me. =p
Without having a 2nd thought. I'd choose Eresh over Euram anytime. I hated Euram too. XD
Euram was bothersome and weak. And he's a must recruit character, if you did not get Eresh later. So he's nothing special really.
Eresh is a one shot recruitable char, has great magic skills, mysterious, knows Jeane, a female, looks beautiful behind her scarf. LOL
And like everyone has mentioned, has a funny scene in the bath house.

I think Eresh is a great battle character, but I already had great mages, and unless you want a party with 3 or more magic users, you probably WON'T need her. I mean, you can already have Jeane, Zerase, Viki, etc. Levi if you're desperate, I don't think you'd want ANY more than that. With all the beneifits of the runes, they help physical attackers out a lot. So I mean, Eresh is an asset to your party, but I'd much rather have Euram for story purposes. I don't like him, but he IS a major part of the story, and to have him as one of the 108 stars of destiny, and to have him change his attitude is something I enjoyed.
just imo

Not only is Eresh a good mage, she is also a great help during the war, I have used this girl ALOT.
I prefer not to use Zerase, Jeane and Viki, because they are godmods and with them in your party, you'll most likely have no problems with them at all.

The first time through I chose Euram. I found him amusing. He's an idiot, a persistant idiot. Not brave, not exactly cowardly either. He is rather cheesy too, though the portrait of Lym in his room was creepy. >> He was less interesting when reformed though. I'm surprised how many people hate Euram, but I guess his antics either annoy you or make you laugh.
Eresh had an amusing bath scene, but I didn't really use her at all. I did use Zerase, so that is part of it perhaps. I sometimes speak in third person myself, so her tendency to use it didn't really make any impression on me.

Well, the bathscene is either disturbing, or funny. It depends on how you look at things. If you noticed that Lelei is quite lesbian and she is having 2 little girls on her lap, might be odd...especially with what she says.

Yeah, I got her because Tony got Euram, though I did not learn of his fate until I was at the point Tony got to. (I think?) Either way, two good characters for story purposes.

I got Eresh because she's a female playable character with decent magic and Euram was a NPC, so a no-brainer choice for me.

I just finished the battle hours ago, and pwned them in less than five rounds each because I accidentally overleveled my characters (all of them) and unleashed a few too powerful skills, while totally getting my chars in most of the wrong positions. >.> I may want to try the battle again (for my backup saveslot )without my spellcasters... just for the sake of it. But I have to go through that diabolical warfare thing.
So I just got Haswar and the two super-glued-to-her elves. I think I'll go for Eresh, and try for Euram if I play a second time round. For one thing, Eresh is just too adorable. But I'm not sure if I'll get to use her much... o.o since there's Zerase, Jeane, Viki and Levi, and the party is only so big. >.> I think I'll leave Zerase out of my final party when I get to the final battle. She makes things way too easy. Richard too. Bah.

Eresh. Hands down. I dunno about Euram. He annoyed me quite a bit. I guess that's one of the reasons I didn't bother with him. I just love the bath scenes. I'm considering going back and recruit Euram; even though it pains me.

Only for Sentimental favor. Since he watched his father die right in front of his eyes. But Eresh is golden, she's also second behind Zerase in magical prowess. Ressurection Rune is awesome too.

erm.. Eresh has nearly the same magic statistics as all of them. I believe it's better than both Jeane and Viki lol. I can agree with Zerase, but I didn't care I still used her

Eresh, no question about it! Stick Jeane and her in a Rune Archer unit and let the Thunder fly!
Though choosing her over Viki... i couldn't do that, with Chain Magic Skill at it's highest level and equipped with the Mother Earth/Thunder Rune and Resurrection Rune... God did she get me out of some tight spots!

Eresh is useless and tied as the third most powerful mage. Euram is... useless. Easy choice.
