I have an iPod Nano, and I'm happy with it.
SonicX_Zero
I have a Sony Ericsson phone which also serves as my MP3 player and I'm happy with it, so I guess I go with another brand. =)
Monty
What an amazing poll, by far the best poll to ever see its face on Dreamers.

Seriously,
Monty

Haha...my cd player is not an MP3 player...I was thinking of getting an iPod Shuffle (it's cheap-er) but my parents don't think that kind of technology is appropriate for me right now XD
Alazuli
Nada! XD

I don't have the cash for an MP3 player, but I'm actually fine with sticking with listening to music from my computer. I wouldn't mind one for class, maybe, but psh. I'm not holding my breath for it.
Athrun
There are cheap MP3 players Zuli. It's better than nothing. XD I can't go a day without mine. lol
Just three days ago I was on the bus down town, but since I was talking on my phone all the way down there I didn't notice I forgot it at home. I did a few things, then I went back home and got it, and went back again. =p
Alazuli
Even the cheap ones are expensive, rat. XD

I was planning on buying a Nano, but dunno what happened there. Those are pretty expensive, too, and my friend's started acting up violently before she even had it for a year.
Metonymy
I remember seeing a 512 mb for $20 around here around christmas time, things aren't all THAT bad. wink.gif

But I own a CD player that can play mp3 cd's (I.E. I don't need to format them as music, therefore offering more than 3x the space a normal CD holds.) but I really only use the CD option. I am content with it, it works and it is fine. When it breaks, however, I will pool my cash for a 60 gig Ipod. P:
Athrun
There are mp3 players for like $15, Zuli. =p
Grahf
I have a 2 gig iPod nano, but I ran out of space on it, so for christmas I got a 30 gig iPod, and I must say that I like it.
Ragnarok
I own a 60 gig video Ipod. It's nice to have because I can have all my music with me all the time, but they are so delicate. I have had mine for a little over a year, and I am lucky if I can get the sound to come out of both speakers. It usually just decides to come out of one, which is a real problem, because I miss a lot of music during songs, but I can like half plug it in and get all the sound, but it doesn't go nearly as loud.
Chalryn
In a sense, I suppose I could say 'other,' though I don't really have an MP3 player, per se. What I do have, though, is a Sony Walkman MP3/CD player. (In other words, it plays regular audio CD's, but MP3 CD's as well.) ^^; Personally, I find it to be a better deal than a lot of MP3 players out there.

Are you sure that's not your earphones fault? It happened to mine, so I got a pair of new ones a few days ago. The cable can get glitchy if it's bent too much near where the plugin contact is.

That has happened to me before, but it was because of the earphones that were not functioning right. Are you sure it is the iPod and not your ear phones? I use to have these really cheap Sony ear phones that for some reason would not last long. Maybe its because I have my volume up to loud for too long of a time? The point is I went through two pairs of these ear phones and they wouldn't last too long. Here are the ear phones I am talking about: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1051826204520
Another odd thing I noticed is when you use the ear phones that is included with your video iPod. For some reason when I am listening to my iPod and decided to slide my bookbag off my back I get this static in the ear phones that I can feel and hear in my ear.

Now back to the topic I have 30GB Video iPod for about 6 months and so far I haven't even filled up half of the capacity. Most of the space is taken up by the movies that I ripped from my DVDs and some anime too.

Monty is old thats why he still uses vinyls.

I have a 1 gig Samsung YP-T7J, it gets the job done and I wanted to go different because everybody and their mother has ipods, and also this thing is awesome, small as hell and has pretty cool colours.

I use it whenever i have idle time available or doing some stuff at work. The original headphones got messed up, apparently its the in thing for mp3 player headphones. I bought some cheap ones for around 5 bucks at radioshack and now they are also messed up and i have to wiggle the jack to make one of them play music, talk about annoying.

I think i am gonna get one of those expensive kick ass headphones for 100 bucks, but for the mean time i am gonna get some others for about 20 or 30.

And Alazuli, seriously woman, mp3 players are cheap as hell these days.
Raincoat
I have a Sansa MP3 player, that I got for Christmas. It has 2 GB, but I already filled it and am wanting more, but it works for now.
This is actually my second, because the first one I got for Christmas had some serious errors, and wouldn't turn on, or it would freeze, etc, etc.
gelmar
I have an mp3 player called " Blueberry cat. Actually, it's an mp 4 player since it can play movies too. It has 1 GB memory.
I bought it the last summer, and everything worked fine till recently when the earplugs broke. I bought one pair once again, so I can listen music from the mp4 again.
Red_ryaN
i have a creative works 128meg mp3 player.. i lost it tho.. o well
The Hero of Time
I have a 30Gb iPod video. ohmy.gif

But it's full. sad.gif I need a bigger one.

Also, my phone has 1Gb of storage so I use that as my mp3 player at the moment as my ipod is in need of repair. sad.gif

But next, the iPhone, with built in iPod. wink.gif
Eva
I have another brand MP3 player.

I should have just saved money to purchase a iPod.
Natsuki
Another brand~!!! xP

I have a 20Gb Sony NWA1000V HDD MP3 Player, hottest thing evAr and the weird thing is, I barely ever use it xDD. The software that came with it isn't the best thing on earth so it bugs me whenever I get some new songs I have go through the torture in putting it on. The upside now is that I've recently got a new program called SonicStage for it so it's alot easier to add songs to it, I'm just too lazy to import all the songs ^^; .

I mainly use the Mp3 player on my Sony Ericsson phone, since it's more convenient and I don't have to carry an extra item xD.
Apple
The iPod mini's were the most poorly made and ghetto mp3's to come out. I would possibly spend money on a newer iPod, but why the hell would I do that when I can spend money or something better? 8D

I have another brand. Like, some random cheap one that my sister got for me which I totally appreciate because it completes my life whenever I'm away from my computer. It's a Sansa...something something. Who knows. 8P But I'm happy with it because I'm not a tech-geek where I have to get the newest stuff and you know a simple little mp3 that has music at all will do it for me.
worsle
Well I got a Creative Vision:M. 30gb, filled maybe half of it with all the music I am likely to listen too but need put some more videos on it.
The Evil Dead
I have an older ipod that only carries 8 gigs worth of music. I got it off my brother for about 50 bucks so I can't really complain.

I mostly just use it when I'm driving in my car, beats having a CD player.

If you filled up your 30 GB Video iPod then you'll fill up the iPhone in no time because as of what have been announced the iPhone only has 8 GB of storage capacity and it costs $599.99 which equals to a PS3.
Denim
I have a 4 Gig Insignia. I'm not sure what who when why, but I got it for my birthday, and I can't complain. It's not an iPod, so it wins too. Like someone said, everyone and their mother has iPods, and diversity is good.
Razael
Not to mention the damn iphone thing costs half of what apple is charging, talk about getting rear ended. Good thing i am as interested in the iphone as i am on drinking piss.

And Winnie, your mp3 is so girly, its ##### adorable.
Lost Seraphim

Had a 30GB iPod, but I was growing tired of having iTunes alongside WinAmp simply to upload songs to it, as well as the AAC conversion in general. If I ever do go down that path again though, I'm sticking with the Zune.

Yeah, what Athrun said, it's probably the earphones fault. I also had to replace mine.

Well, I own an iPod shuffle and iPod nano, both first generation of their kind, both gifts. I used to have some other brand of MP3 player, but I gave it to one of my nephews.

:/ I don't even have that much to my name. XD (I mean it, all my money that's coming in is going towards my brother and birthday gifts)

How expensive would it be for one that can hold at least 3.5 Gigs? o.o (if I'm carrying around my music, I want it all! kidding, just kidding)

I am quite sure that it is my Ipod because I have tried 3 different pairs of headphones and its all the same.
The Hero of Time
You have exactly the same problem as me, Rag. The sound only comes out of one side unless I hold the headphones in a certain place...any headphones.

Maybe its more common problem than I thought. Oh well.

I know the iPhone only have 8gb but thats still pretty hefty for a phone. I'll trade 22gb for a phone, internet explorer, organiser etc etc. Plus it's so friggin smexy.

Natsuki, are you refering to Sony's Sonic Stage program? That's the name right? Or something like that...Sony don't do software well. laugh.gif
1llu51oN
No, no IPOD. Just a "ABCXYZ" brand Mp3 Player made in Taiwan and it can only hold 256MB of data. =)
Gotta be selective.
And I've had spent my money more on earphones than the player, 5 days lifespan. =(
Raincoat
I have always had problems with headphones/earphones, which is why my parents bought me an extra pair along with my MP3 player.
So far, so good.
Although I doubt the good luck will last long, once I start using it more.

Nope, I was referring to a program called CONNECT which came with the mp3 player. It takes forever to load and update the songs >.>, SonicStage is actually waaay better and easy to use. Although, I got to say the best Sony program I used would be OpenMG Jukebox but since my MD player busted on me I got rid of the program xD.

Lol, I know a "ghetto" guy that has the same colour as me xDD.
Loomis
A 30$ one bought in China. Interestingly enough, it can support loads of stuff and is 1 gb in size. It might be breaking though. Tis what happens when children make them. =(
