I just watche the last couple episodes of Bleach when Ichigo fights Byakuya. And I'm VERY impressed with his Bankai. So, if given the opportunity, who wins? Himura Kenshin or Ichigo Kurosaki??
They're both extremely fast, but who has the advantage?
Personally, I say Kenshin, just because he's fought way more battles and has the ability to delve into his opponent's mind and at times even change his intent (i.e. Seta Soujiro, Enishi, Aoshi, etc.). I also think Kenshin wins just because he usually finds ways to expose the weaknesses in opponents (i.e. Shishio, the ex-Battosai, can't remember his name but the faceless dude in Aoshi's group with the striped arms, etc)
It'd be interesting to watch.. Except that'd be impossible because they'd both be moving faster than the eye can follow rofl

I would say Kenshin, since Ichigo just goes around really fast swinging like crazy, whereas Kenshin actually uses different techniques... while going faster than #####.

O.o
Of course Ichigo would win, EASY WIN.
Kenshin is only a mere mortal, and Ichigo is something else. More like human vs. superhuman. And Kenshin doesn't have long ranged attack. No, no, not that sonar tech. Goodbye man.

I think Dante would win, no Inu yasha..no.. Goku! idk, Ichigo I suppose.

Ichigo can use the hollow mask now (in the manga), so I'd say it's an easy win for Ichigo.

Why is that?
As for the topic on hand, its apples and oranges. Its like asking the guys of WeiB Kreuz to fight against guys of Yu Yu Hakusho, different worlds different rules and different schemes of power.

Completely. WeiB Kreuz protagonists will die in seconds. The antagonists may have a chance, but still, it's a totally different realm already.
I don't understand why this sort of questions exist, seriously. Comparing things from different animes usually aren't fair. Even from the same series. *coughgundamcough* >.>

Ichigo. Sorry, Ancient samurais with a reverse blade < Newer Samurais with two forms for the sword, long range attacks, limitless powers, Power of Hollows, Annndndndndndndndnnndnnddndn the fact that, you know Ichigo can flash step, something Kenshin cannot. Instant kill.

I believe Ichigo would win. He is simply more powerfull. Kenshin IS fast, ti's true, but Ichigo is still faster. Why? Because he's not a human. Well, in a way he isn't. Had this been a fight between Kenshin and the real world's Ichigo, Kenshin would've pwned him.

Like Seluna, I agree with Sonic. It's like comparing Dragon Ball characters to other anime characters. Who do you think will win? I'm okay with who will beat who in a fight, but they need to be from the same world and/or have the same rules.

Like what everyone said, two different things. It's like comparing Batman to Superman, one person has super powers while the other doesn't. I mean Ichigo can't be hurt while he's shinigami form unless from another spirit, and Kenshin if I remember doesn't have the ability to do that. Sure experience wise Kenshin could be pretty much own, but I don't believe Kenshin could force a Menos Grande's attack right back at it and frce it to retreat. Also Ichigo has taken down plenty of people who had more experience than him, not mention strength. When you think about it, it's a pretty unfair contest.
Now real contest, who's cup size is bigger? Kanako(I believe that's her name) from Genshiken? or Koyori from Nure Witch Komugi?

I'm just assuming that Ichigo in this fight would be in his shinigami form.
That said, Ichigo wins. A shinigami can't be harmed by a normal sword, as previously pointed out.
Even if he were able to be harmed, though, I still think Ichigo could easily take down Kenshin. (Though forgive me for not seeing much Kenshin, so I guess this is rather biased. I'm assuming Kenshin doesn't particularly have a whole lot more than extreme skill with a sword and plenty of fighting experience. And even if he does have some sort of special abilities, I'd think that Ichigo's would be more effective. On the other hand, Ichigo's got "special powers" like Getsuga Tenshou and various abilities while in his Bankai form. Not to mention his Vaizard form.)
If not in shinigami form, then yeah, probably Kenshin. I still vote for Ichigo, though.

I say Kenshin, by the time Ichigo can pop a soul pill, get Rukia to knock him out of his body, or use that badge after the soul society arc, Kenshin would have knocked him out by now. =/

Ichigo, altho I like Kenshin a whole lot more than Ichigo. However, am pretty sure that Ichigo is a lot stronger than Kenshin

. I mean, Bankai, and if not that, he's got the Hollow Mask now which will difinitely make it a piece of cake to take out kenshin.

Definately Ichigo. He's a Shinigami. As much as I love Kenshin he's strong but he's still only human.

Ok not just because ichigo i supper powered, if ichigo had his powers and he was mortal vs kenshin kenshin has no way to beat him ichigo is much faster stronger true kenshin has more exp in battles but ichigo speed in bankai and power is way more then enough to take out kenshin and ichigo can fly big advantage because of his higher ground
so think about it kenshin a samurai that has no special technique's or ichigo.

Why is this even a topic the only way Kenshin could win is if Ichigo was in his human form but then his Shinigami form would pop out and kill Kenshin with his super spirit energy and overly rigged hollow mask so i suppose it ends at 1-1 Tie? I suppose in some twisted way... ok the end.

Hahaha well when I made this topici Ichigo was in Soul Society still, so his powers weren't the same. So back then it was even, but NOW... Oh man Ichigo would kick so much more ass.
Kenshin could halfway fly though, the way he performed his moves, and he single handedly went on to be the best swordsman in Japan without ever killing anybody. So no matter how powerful Ichigo is, I'm sure Kenshin would hit some psychological soft spot to make Ichigo lose the will to fight

I only watched the Movie Samurai X.. and he couldn't do any of the stuff you speak of lol
I think Ichigo would wreck him because well.. he's a soul reaper and all ?

loll what a bad argument lol, especially if u dont know Kenshin

He does WAYYYY more than whatever he does in Samurai X, just watch the anime with Shishio or read the manga with Enishi or any of his former opponents.

Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryū's principles are based on utilizing godlike speed, or shinsoku, and precision to deal powerful blows that usually bring down foes with one shot. The swordsman must also be able to read techniques at an amazing pace as well as interpret emotions as a form of clairvoyance in order to accurately predict what an opponent will do. Combining those two elements with the speed and the precision allows Kenshin and Hiko to subdue opponents before they ever act. That is the power of Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryū.
Kenshin's uses more strategy than brute force, which is why he would have a good chance to outsmart Ichigo. And Kenshin has outsmarted every opponent that used brute force, which is why it makes an interesting matchup against Ichigo.
And for those who think Ichigo is WAYYY too fast for Kenshin, think of the battle versus Seta Soujiro. Kenshin couldn't even see him, yet he found a way to hinder Seto emotionally. He also came to a draw with Saito back in the day. And for those who worry that Kenshin can't withstand attacks, think of how he basically came back from being dead vs Shishio. And for those who worry about Kenshin not being able to handle "supernatural" abilities, think of hte battles with Udo Jin-e's paralyzing glare, Gein's three robot versions, yatsume Mumyoi (the iron claw and elongated limbs, sided with Enishi), etc etc

Scatter, Senbonzakura...
But seriously, while I can rarely get behind main protagonists (I'm a sucker for a good anti-hero), Ichigo's powers are rather undeniable, and I'd say outscale Kenshin's by a fairly great margin. He's certainly not lacking in ability himself, but we've yet to see the full extent of Ichigo's powers, and in that respect, he's outclassed.

Sorry to go off-topic but Jin from Samurai Champloo would own both. :-)
