Since this battle doesn't exactly end like a normal battle every time I play it, (meaning it just sort of says "Hey! Thats enough. Its done and over."

Does anyone know exactly what ends it..? Is it a certain length of time, certain amount of damage dealt, how many times you kill the Sprites, a certain amount of turns, etc.

Isn't it just that once you deal the main boss enough damage, it ends?

Leave the sprites because the final boss will resurrect them anyway. This battle reminded me of the final boss battle in Suikoden IV in which you only aim at the main enemy and heal in between.

I had someone in my group who'd only attack the sprites, (Zegai) and so I had to kill em off, other wise I couldn't do reeel big dmg on it. (One good hit from the guy and it was over)
