They have somehow managed to summerise the plot of the whole of the current xenosaga series in one sentence XD

Anyway... I still remain hopeful that there shall be more Xeno-antics...

Anyway. I don't believe they'll leave the series alone. Not after the sales figures they got for Episode 3, as well as how Episode 3 ended.

Shion's arc has finished but the series is still open for more episodes.

*Episode III Ending Spoilers*
KOS-MOS and chaos survived and live on in one form or another. Although the human race is till alive things aren't looking too great as the whole way of living has been distorted with the loss of U-DO. We don't know what happens to any of the characters really and more adventures can still be had.

Ziggy, MOMO, Jr and Shion are finished with basically... but chaos KOS-MOS and Jin (possibly) seem to be about to start a new adventure. Yes I know Jin died but I don't think that's the end for him (death doesn't mean much in xenosaga anyway)... there is a reason I think that but it's been a while since I've seen the ending so I can't think why.

Really, this is how they originally planned it isn't it? Having Shion and Co's story end more or less after 3.
Then, moving on with chaos and KOS-MOS. And yes, possibly Jin as he went along for the ride.

Who knows?

I would buy a PS3 if a new Xeno game would be announced for it but I am also a fan of Shenmue so I don't have high hopes.

I'm not sure it was exactly 100% official. I know that if there is to be another Xenosaga game that Shion and probably most if not all of the gang will not be in it. I remember several months ago either before the game came out or just after that depending on sales the creator would either continue the series or leave it with where it was. I don't think it is entirely official that Episode III is the end of the Xeno universe as we know it...but I personally would be shocked if there was -real- Xeno news on a new game in the next year or so. I find it extremely unlikely there will be plans of any sort for a couple years at least. Possibly never...I don't think anybody really knows.
