With the recent Tales of the Abyss having the full 3D battle system and I think Tempest having this system similar to Rebirth which would style would you love to appear in the next installment? Would you love another 3D battle system similar to TotA or would you like to see another 2D game that pretty much how the series started or would you go for the middle ground of multiple 2D planes that Rebirth had?

I have Phantasia for the GBA and it's 2D, but I much prefer the 3D battle systems. So, to answer your question, I would want to see another 3D battle system.

The addition of Free Roam was an excellent feature that added more strategy and skill to the system for me. Though saying that i really do like the 2D approach from the likes of Eternia where your only hope of surrounding the enemy was a well timed Tempest (fav. move by far - a shame Luke hasn't got it in TotA).

To answer the question i'd like to see more 3D games in the future (especially the next installment), but wouldn't mind a 2D one thrown in once in while - a random PSP game for example.
