Well I have been playing for 10 hours and now I'm stuck. I wasn't reading what they where saying for few minutes (something distracted me)... And now I don't know where to go.

I'm at the town of Obel after I got Akaghi, Mizuki and Ramada. I talked to the king and he said something ( I guess I missed) and then I was in that ship in the cave. I can't go with the ship(in the port) on the sea.
It's before you have to evacuate ppl of obel ( according to walktrough ( I think))
I don't know I tried everything .... talked to everyone for more then 4 times, changed party, went everywhere but nothing happens.

Oh yeah you know... I think a lot of people got stuck at this part. Including me. You have to trigger some sort of scene somewhere, and then go back to the cave and talk to someone to get the game going again. The thing is, people seemed to do what they were supposed to but nothing happened anyway. I just ran around and talked to everyone and did everything (did you try sleeping?) and then eventually it worked.

But if that's not where you are then maybe you just have to collect enough people before the evacuation? You can ask a few of them to join you.

Yup that's where I am. It took me a while to find some walk trough. And I think I have to have 17 ppl joined to trigger that event...perhaps I don't have that And it should be when I get out of the cave and walk around that cliff.

Yes I slept for like 4 or 5 times. In the inn in that cave of mine ... Talked to everyone too many times. Even went trough that ruins and back.

I think I will have to go from the beginning, since I can't collect any more cous I can't get off that island And currently I can't get anyone in the town to join me

Well, I don't know why everyone seems to get stuck at that particular part. It may be a bug in the game or something, but eventually everyone got past it, so keep trying.

If anyone else knows the exact thing you have to do to get past that part, please share. I honestly don't remember.

yeah me either if you havent found help by tomorrow ill boot up my game i believe i saved at aabout that point so ill check it out and hopefully i can do it or it will come back to me

Try sleeping at the inn in town. It might work.
I always thought people would get stuck at a diffirent point in the game, which was at Pirate's Isle instead of this. At least, I do not recall getting stuck here.
It doesn't help that it was ages ago since I played this game. Didn't you had to play through a dungeon here as well?

Yup I slept there 2 times.
Dungeon? There is no dungeon near. Only some ruins ... but I was already there earlier in the game + went trough it since I didn't know what else to do (nothing happened).

Thanx Voluspa. That would be great although I don't think I will get my hopes up. I guess it's some sort of bug, since it's different for everyone ...

i dont think i ever had the problem but did u defeat the Golem and then talk to the kid and his mother?

Actually I passed that part. Started the game from the beginning. This time it worked since I had more stars then before. read in some walk tough you need to have 17 of them.

Lol, I always found that a bit unworthy to do so in any of the Suikoden games.
Especially because there is a trick to boost your character to lvl 99 by killing only a couple of enemies.

Actually was thinking of playing it again ... but have to buy a new game first (dunno that one with time stopped working)

In Suikoden I and II it was basically fight a team of 6 soldiers in the final dungeon with the character you want to raise to lvl 99 ALONE! Also, she had to be under 39, or 49 with the Fortune Rune equipped.

In Suikoden IV it is a bit more complicated, but there is a FAQ about it on gamefaqs, if I recall correctly.

Yeah read that one ages ago but thought CBF but im doing it sorta legit im using just hero against the ships ppl u know the training thing on last lvl of the ship

So you train to lvl 99 without using the trick? If that is the case than I am sorry, but I'll think you are being dumb then.
First of all, at some point you'll only gain 5 exp anyway, so fighting easier monsters is much better, because they die sooner and give you the same exp.
Also, it is pointless to train to lvl 99 because there is no bonus dungeon and the game can be finished at lvl 50 anyway.

Nah cant b finished at lvl 50 can it? what party did u have? i tried with Hero,Snowe,Siguard and Harvey and couldnt pass and they were all lvl 55?

It can be done. The final boss is annoying but it is not impossible.
I used Hero, Kika, Ted and Snowe and defeated him in 2 turns. I have a video about it on Youtube.

whats your youtube user name or can u plz link me the vid? btw is there any way to change party members once your ship is at the castle at the end? i mean like can i get ppl from the party i sent up when the ships were attacking?

Uh yeah, this is like my second or third playthrough and only showing how ti basically obliterate the boss with minimal effort.
I simply said it CAN be done, it just requires some tactics.

Hmm, I don't think that is possible. I sent Jeane, Mizuki, Sigurd and Harvey and I do not recall I could get them in my main party.

Yeah cant so i started again anyway 14 hours later... what islands can i search for treasure on? becuase i wanna find the 2 runes that allows me to do the lvl trick u know the Fortune rune
