Lady Anna
"Give her your soul, agree to fight the Daimons who are trying to kill and enslave mankind, and she will make you immortal."

Myth that began it all:
Long ago the god of the sun, Apollo created for himself a race of people far superior to any other. They possessed beauty, intelligence, and the physic abilities bestowed upon them by their god-father. Seeking to replace the already inhabited world with his own children, Apollo sent them to the most blessed of lands, the island kingdom of Atlantis. There the Apollites married and mixed with the Atlantean people. Soon the Greeks on the mainland began to fear that Apollo would indeed get his wish. So in desperation they gave to the god the most beautiful woman to be his mistress, Ryssa. Apollo soon forgot his plans as the Greeks had hoped. Noticing this change in their god, the Atlantean/Appolite queen sent forth assassins to murder Apollo's mistress and the child they had together. Ordering them to make it look as though they had been ravaged by a wild animal. It was not long after their deaths that Apollo discovered the treachery of his own race. In retaliation the god cursed them threefold. They were given the fangs and eyes to see in the dark of night of a wild beast.

For they had made it look as if a beast had killed his beloved. They were also made to feed from the blood of each other to survive. Also were they banished from his realm, never again to walk in sunlight. But worst of all, for having killed his beloved in her 27th year, he decreed that each Apollite would die a slow and painful death on their 27th birthdays. A century would pass before the Apollites would discover a way of taking human souls and prolonging their tragically short lives...Daimons were born into the world....and so came the Dark-hunter to protect mankind.

Story Beginning:
It’s a humid New Orleans night. In the early spring air there is the dampness from the Mississippi, the smell of coffee from the cafe Du Monde, the scent of spicy gumbo, and wildness in the air that no other city has. Among the throngs of people walking here and there savoring the pleasure of Bourbon Street and beyond, immortal warriors walk. Savoring the night themselves, they hunt for the Daimons preying on human souls. One man stands out, eerie quicksilver eyes watching with deadly calm as the unaware pass by. He leans against a brick wall on Bourbon, dressed all in black leather and chains. Looking like no more than your typical Goth biker with his green hair and pierced nose. He is devastatingly handsome, but the deadly aura he radiates makes everyone give him a wide berth. Little do they know that their unnatural fear is well founded.

The man spots three handsome blonde men leading two rather average college girls into an alley. With an easy nonchalance he pushes off from the wall and saunters toward the alley, itching for a fight.

No one will see him as he saves the two women, and neither will they turn as those women flee. They will never look twice when he comes from the alley brushing gold dust off of his shoulder. He will disappear into the crowd to meet up with others like himself...

Characters-

Definition of a Dark-Hunter:
Immortal warriors under the service of the goddess Artemis. Created from those that wrongly died. They sold their souls to Artemis for a single act of vengeance against those who wronged them. The place where their souls were taken from their bodies, appears in the form of a brand on their skin. Dark-hunters are not allowed within the sunlight. They are sensitive to light and have fangs much like the Daimons they hunt. The only way to kill a dark-hunter is through sunlight, beheading, or total dismemberment. They honor the code of the Dark-Hunter given to them by Acheron, the first Dark-hunter. (All Dark-Hunter characters must be approved by myself first. A large bio is required for each, including reasons and cause of death...try to make them unique.) As soon as they are trained they are given a post. Thousands of Dark-hunters are stationed throughout the world. They are paid richly by the goddess, and are also given human helpers (See Squires, Blood-Rite Squires, Blue blood Squires)

Dark-Hunter Souls: Artemis takes possession of the soul when the Dark-Hunter is born. It is trapped inside a medallion, and can only be given to another by Artemis willingly. A Dark-Hunter can regain his/her soul if the one true soul (soulmate) that loves them enough to pass Artemis's test does. Once regained by the soulmate, the Dark-Hunter's powers must be drained (Usually through death) and the medallion placed to the brand where there soul was taken. If the soulmate drops the medallion before the soul is transferred, then the Dark-Hunter will become a shade and his/her soul will be lost forever.

Shade: A shade is what a Dark-Hunter becomes if they should die before they regain their soul. It is an existence of unrelenting thirst and hunger. A shade cannot be seen by anyone (the exception to this is Acheron and the Dream-Hunters) The shade soon becomes insane screaming for attention. There is a rumor of an out clause for shades.

Dark-Hunter Code:
1. Honor Artemis
2. Drink no blood.
3. Harm no human or Apollite
4. Never touch your squire (this refers to in a sexual manner. Usually Dark-Hunters are given squires whose gender they are not inclined to be intimate with.)
5. Speak with no family or friends from the time before you died.
6. Let no Daimon escape alive.
7. Keep your mark (brand) hidden.
8. You walk alone. (Dark-Hunters drain each others powers if they stay together too long. This was done so that Dark-Hunters could not combine powers and become too powerful a force. The only exception is Acheron. The reason for this is supposedly because he was the first.)

Non-playable Characters-

Acheron (Ash) Parthenopaeus: Ancient immortal Atlantean, leader of the Dark-Hunters. Born in 9548 B.C. on the Greek island of Didymos to King Achrion and Queen Aara. His curses and promises are binding and can have unexpected consequences. Tall and naturally blonde, he dyes his hair often and dresses in Goth clothing. He appears all of 21 years old. No one knows anything about him, and he likes it that way. In reality he is a god-slayer and an Atlantean god with powers that no one knows the full extent of. Most everyone he knows calls him Ash with the exception of his demon, Simi, who calls him "Akri" and the goddess Artemis. (Ash is a NPC, who can only be used by me. Being such a powerful character, he will most likely only hang around and never really get into the mix. If you need him for a reason, send it to me in PM and we'll work it out.)

Simi Parthenopaeus: Acheron's Charonte demon, who can manifest as a human or a demon, and who rests as an ever-changing tattoo on Ash's body. Though she is thousands of years old, she is equivalent to a human 18-year old. Ash calls her his daughter, and is spoiled mercilessly by him. Loves barbecue, movies, and QVC. Hates to be told no. (Simi is a NPC)

Apollymi: Atlantean Goddess known as "The Great Destroyer". Protects and uses the Spathi and Illuminati as her guards, in addition to Charonte demons and ceredons. She is the wife of Archon, the Atlantean counterpart to Zeus. She was imprisoned in Kalosis, the Atlantean hell, where she can see the human world but not affect it. The Spathi are always seeking a way to release her. (NPC, she doesn't really do much anyhow.)

Strykerius (Stryker) : Demi-god. Son of Apollo. He is the leader and trainer of the Spathi Daimons. In the service of Apollymi as her adopted son. Holds a personal grudge against Acheron, and seeks to destroy everything he loves. Enemy of the Dark-Hunters. (NPC, Unless someone is willing to take on this character and all its responsibilities. A sample of writing is required through PM if you’re interested in taking Stryker on)

Savitar: Even more mysterious than Acheron (Like that’s possible lol.) He is rumored to have been the one to train Ash in his powers. He oversees the Omegrion even though none of the Were-Hunters are sure how that came about. He has a strange fascination for the beach and surfing. Is usually dressed like a beach bum or a surfer. Most of his body is covered in tattoos. No one, not even Ash, knows anything at all about him. He is extremely powerful and deadly. He once said he killed things simply if they annoyed him. Since then everyone who knows him has made a point not to annoy him. Acheron is the only one who has ever pushed the limit and lived. (NPC. Most likely will be rarely seen unless it’s needed. PM if you have an idea that includes him.)

Thantos/Dayslayer: Thantos is the Greek word for "Death". Also the name for the Apollites to whom Artemis gives special powers and whom she sends to kill rouge Dark-Hunters. Known as the dayslayer in Apollite mythology. There have been several Thantos over the centuries, usually replacing the one that was previously killed. The current one is named Callyx. (NPC and very unlikely to appear.)

Artemis: Sister to Apollo. She is the passionate redheaded goddess of the hunt, and creator of the Dark-Hunters. She had two obsessions. Acheron and her own comfort. It is because she was afraid that Acheron would leave her that she created the Dark-Hunters in the first place. She knew that they would bind him to her. Is aware that Acheron hates her, but chooses to ignore it as long as she can have him at her beck and call. Is fond of whipping him, especially when he needs something from her. Uses modern slang, but usually gets it wrong I.E.: "One wrong move and you are burnt bread!" "Artie, its toast...you are toast." (NPC, unless someone really wants her and can do her justice. Most likely won't be around much otherwise.)

Races-

Rouge Dark-Hunters: Rouge Dark-Hunters who have broken the code and must die. It is highly unusual that this happens. Ash is very lenient and tries to solve the problem before he sentences a Dark-Hunter to death. In the rare case that a Dark-Hunter must die blood-right Squires or Thantos hunts them and executes them. (NPC for time being)

Apollites: Children of Apollo. All have blonde hair naturally, though many are known to dye it. They cannot go out into sunlight at all, as this is the realm of Apollo and they are banished from it. Appolites are not naturally a danger to humans in anyway...except in the case of hiding their Daimon brethren. On their 27th birthdays, all Apollites are cursed to disintegrate slowly over a period of 24 hours. Though many commit ritual suicide before this can happen. Many of them blend seamlessly into the human world while others live in segregated communities.

Daimons: Apollites who refused to die or commit suicide on their 27th birthday. They have to steal human souls to artificially elongate their life span. However the moment a human soul is taken it begins to die, leaving Daimons to be constantly looking for souls to consume. So long as they have a human soul inside them, they can continue to live indefinitely. Any Apollite who consumes a human soul is classified as a Daimon. They can be killed in the same ways as a Dark-Hunter, or by stabbing the black mark that appears over their hearts the first time they take a human soul. (See Terms Inkblots and Fabios)

Doulos: A human servant of Apollites and Daimons.

Anaimikos Daimon: A Daimon who feeds only from another Daimon in order to drain him.

Akelos Daimons: A branch of Daimons who have taken an oath to kill only humans who deserve it. Such as murders and criminals. This can be dangerous because feeding off of such dark corrupted souls can in time take a toll on the Daimon, corrupting into evil.

Spathi: Warrior Daimons. Apollymi's guards and pets, who can be reincarnated after they die if someone cares enough. Their essence remains intact. See also Illuminati.

Illuminati: The Spathi Daimon bodyguards of Apollymi, lead by Stryker and comprising of between thirty and forty members. They include the oldest and most powerful of the Spathi. (NPC for now, unless Apollymi becomes big in the storyline.)

Arcadians: Those who hold human hearts and can shapeshift into animals. See also Aristos/Aristi.

Katagaria: Those who hold animal hearts and can shift into humans.

-Mythology of Arcadians/Katagaria (AKA-Were-Hunters)-
An Ancient Greek King (Lycaon) unknowingly married an Apollite woman. She hid what she was until her 27th birthday when she perished painfully. When the king realized what she was, he also realized that their two sons would follow in their mother's footsteps and die the same painful death.

To prevent this, the king rounded up Apollites and began experimenting on them. He magically entwined their life forces with those of various animals, to create hybrid beings. This created two classes of beings. Arcadians and Katagaria. Once he was done experimenting, he chose the two most powerful creatures (wolves and dragons) and merged them with his own children.

When the Greek fates saw this, they were angered that he would dare to try and thwart them. They demanded he kill his sons and all the others he had created.
He refused.
As punishment, the Fates decreed that the two species would always war against eachother. To this day and beyond they hunt each other and wage their war.

Unlike their Apollite cousins, they live for hundreds of years. They share the same psychic abilities as the Apollites, plus they have a few extra abilities such as time travel and the ability to shapeshift. (Note on time travel in RP- NOT ALLOWED! No one can go back in time to change events. This ability is restricted unless you have a really good reason for using it and have my approval first.)

Patrias: A family grouping of were-hunters of the same race and animal genus.

Were-Hunter patrias are:
Litarian (Lion)
Drakos (Dragons)
Gerakin (Hawks, Falcons, and Eagles)
Tigarian (Tigers)
Lykos (Wolves)
Ursulan (Bears)
Panthiras (Panthers)
Tsakalis (Jackals)
Niphetos Pardalia (Snow Leopards)
Pardalia (Leopards)
Balios (Jaguars)
Hekikas (Cheetahs)
(Were-Hunters cannot change into more than one animal, please specifiy patrias and stick to them!)

Aristos/Aristi: A rare breed of Arcardian with the ability to wield magic effortlessly. They are the most powerful of their kind. Aristi are considered gods in the Arcadian realm and are guarded zealously by patria who would gladly die for them. (These are NPC)

Regis: Leader of a Were-Hunter pack who is essentially their king and representative. (If there are several members of the same race and patria, please decide among you who is the Regis...in the event that we use them later for the Omegrion.)

Tessera: A groups of 4 Were-Hunters sent out to hunt their own kind.

Sentinels: Out of the Arcadian patrias are born the Sentinels. They are the guardians of men and were kind. Only a select few are born to each patria. They are the strongest Were-hunters and they pursue and execute Slayers. A colorful geometric design covers one side of an Arcadian Sentinel's face once they reach maturity, but the Sentinel can hide the design if he or she chooses.

Slayers: Katagaria Were-Hunters driven to madness at puberty when they come into their powers, but fail to find a way to control them. They become ruthless slayers who kill anything or anyone who cross them. Similar to rabies, it is an infection for which there is no cure. They are continually hunted by Sentinels. (NPC for the time being)

Strati: Term used for Katagaria soldiers who seek out Arcadians to fight. They are the Katagaria equivalent to Sentinels except they have not facial markings.

Squires: To help Dark-Hunters appear "Normal", Acheron set up the Squires Council of humans who help them. A Squire works with a Dark-hunter usually living in the same house and appearing to the outside world as the owner. It is the Squires job to see to the day to day monotony of running the household so that the Dark-hunter can focus on hunting Daimons. Squires are often at risk for Daimon attacks since Daimons know they provide an emotional attachment for the Dark-Hunter. If a Dark-hunter is in trouble it is the Squires job to pull the Dark-Hunter out. They are extremely well paid for their services.

Blood-Rite Squires: The Squires called out to hunt rouge Dark-Hunters, or to execute Humans/Squires who betray their world. They are all marked with a spider web tattoo on their hands. Blood-rite Squires also serve in capacity as normal Squires.

Blue-Blood Squires: Squires who come from many generations of Squires.

Dorean Squires: Squires who do not serve one particular Dark-Hunter but rather serve the whole group. Usually setting up businesses to cater to the more bizarre needs of the Dark-Hunters, such as making specialized weapons or cars. They are also bankers and lawyers who know all about the Dark-Hunter world and help them keep a look of normalcy.

Theti Squires: The Squire police force that makes sure all Squires obey the laws. Unlike Blood-Rite Squires they are not allowed to kill.

Dream-Hunters: Dream-Hunters are the children of the Greek gods of sleep. Some of them are born of human mothers, but most are born of the Greek goddess Mist. Dream-Hunters are also known as the Oneroi. Long ago, one of the Oneroi played a trick on the Greek god Zeus. In anger, the god cursed all of their kind to have no emotion whatsoever. Now the only time they can feel anything is when they are in a humans dream. Because this is seductive, Oneroi may only visit dreams; they may never participate or revisit the same human. There are a few Dream-Hunters who prefer to stay out of dreams, except to police their own brethren. Dream-Hunters are either gods or half-gods. They can be both male and female. For the most part they stay out of the human world and only can be found within dreams as lovers or demons.

Dream-Hunter Roles:
All Dream-Hunters take a prefix to their name so that everyone will know their role.

M'- are the enforcers, they work like a police force and are the leaders. (I'm leaving a limit of 3 M' for the time being. First three to be approved are it. I will let you know as to the status, and when they are all filled.)

V'- are the one who help humans whore are having trouble sleeping or who have nightmares.

D'- are the ones who help the gods and immortals. One of these is almost always sent in to aid a newly created Dark-Hunter. Since Dark-Hunters come from horrible pasts, they tend to be plagued with nightmares. Their designated Dream-Hunter will usually watch over them throughout their entire Dark-Hunter existence.

Skoti: Usually children of Phobetor, but can be any Dream-Hunter who goes bad. Nightmare demons that infiltrate the dreams of humans in order to suck emotions and creativity from them. They are also incubi and succubi who derive sexual pleasure from their dream hosts.

---Places---

No Dark-Hunter is allowed here, and few Were-Hunters have ever survived that have gone there. Accessible only from Bolt-holes.

Omegrion: The ruling council of the Were-Hunters. Similar to a senate, one representative from each branch of the Arcadian and Katagaria is sent to represent them all. They make laws which govern all the Were-Hunters and are responsible for setting up sanctuaries (such as Sanctuary in New Orleans)

~~Terminology~~

Bolt-holes: Portals between Kalosis and the human world, often used by Spathi Daimons to escape Dark-Hunters. If one opens near a group, they must go through it. Also known as Laminas.

Ceredon: A creature with the head of the dog, the body of a dragon and the tail of a scorpion. Several of these protect Apollymi, and do not exist outside of Kalosis.

Once bonded they can rest in the form of a tattoo on their bonded's body. Charontes are all appetite- they love to shop, kill, and eat everything. They are very easy to annoy and very dangerous when angry. Simi is Acheron's bonded Charonte. They do not exist, except for Simi, outside Kalosis.

Hit with a strong enough jolt will cause them to literally fall out of their bodies and become non-corporeal beings such as ghosts.

Rytis: An invisible stream of waves that move through everything. The waves echo, flow, and occasionally buckle. The Rytis is what a Were-Hunter and Dream-Hunter use to move through space and time. Lady Anna
***Pantheon of EOTN Gods/Goddesses***
(Various people you may encounter)

Apollymi: (Ok so we covered her once before but this is the more indepth one) Atlantean goddess known as the Destroyer. This may stem from the fact that she sank her own nation, and destroyed the rest of the Atlantean Pantheon. Legend says that she did this because her husband, Achron, ordered the death of her son, Apostolos. She continued on her rampage until Achron trapped her in the Atlantean hell. Often when she interacts it will be with the distinct purpose of having someone set her free. Although there are many speculations as to what she will do if she does get free, the most popular one is that she will continue her rampage and destroy every living thing. This idea contrasts with the fact that she has several times helped humans. She is rather strange in the scheme of things and best left where she is for now.

Archon: Atlantean counter-part to Zeus. Though it is said that Archon was far wiser and benevolent than the Greek god. Son of Chaos, he brought order to the universe his father had created. His surname is Kosmetas which means "Orderer". The mate to Apollymi and father of Apostolos. Learning that his son was destined to bring about the end of the world, he ordered his death and took him from his mother. It is not completely known what became of him after he managed to trap Apollymi in Kalosis. Most legends say that he perished afterwards.

Artemis: Greek goddess of the Hunt and wild beasts. Known to the Romans as Diana, Goddess of the Moon. In mythology she is said to be a virgin huntress. Obviously that is exactly that...myth. The real Artemis as she appears today is passionate rather selfish goddess. She created the Dark-Hunters for the sole purpose of keeping the orignal Dark-Hunter, Acheron, bound to her. Being a greek goddess, most of the Dark-Hunters that are created are Greek. The few Roman Dark-Hunters, who do not have the pyshic abilities of their Greek breathern, are less typical due to the fact that she was a minor deity in the Roman pantheon. She is quick to anger, and very selfish.

The Fates: Greek goddesses who wove the destiny of every living creature. They are rather nasty when it comes to matters of fate, and even worse when they get thwarted by those who change their pre-destined fate.

Atropos: Oldest of the three, responsible for cutting the threads of lives. Daughter of Themis. Also known as Atty.

Clotho: Youngest of the three, responsible for spinning the threads of lives. Daughter of Themis. Also known as Cloie.

Lachesis: Middle of the three, responsible for weaving the pattern of fate. Daughter of Themis. Also known as Lacy.

Camulus: A Gaulish god of war, forced into retirement. Wants to reclaim his godhood.

Cronus: Greek god of time.

Dionysus: Greek god of wine and excess. Now amuses himself as a corporate raider. Usually appears as a tall man with short brown hair and a neat goatee. Is rather annoyed with being forced into retirement and often takes his anger out on Acheron and the gods. Can always be found in New Orleans around Mardi Gras.

Eda: Atlantean goddess of the Earth. Sister of Achron. She was destroyed by Apollymi.

Eros and Psyche: Married Greek gods of sexual desire and soulmates. Often seen playing pool and poker at Sanctuary. Eros hates being called cupid, but for Mardi Gras last year he dressed as the stereotypical version of himself and got drunk. Unfortunately is now reminded of that every time he sees the Dark-Hunters.

Hypnos: Greek god who holds dominion over all the Greek gods of sleep.

Icelus: Greek god who creates human shapes in dreams, and father of some of the Dream-Hunters. His children tend to be the more erotic Dream-Hunters. They live for sex and drift from dream to dream searching for partners.

Loki: Norse trickster god.

Morpheus: Greek god of dreams, father of many of the Dream-Hunters.

Morrigan: The Celtic raven goddess.

Nyx: Greek goddess of the night.

Orasia: Atlantean goddess of sleep. Destroyed by Apollymi.

Phantasos: Greek god who creates nonsentient dream objects, father of some Dark-Hunters. His children tend to be more cerebral and they are most often the Dream-Hunters who police the other Dream-Hunters.

Phobetor: God of animal shapes, father of some of the Dream-Hunters. His children tend to make nightmares. They often take the shape of demons, dragons and other terrifying images.

Saga: Norse goddess of poetry.

Themis: Greek goddess of Justice. Mother of the Fates.

Wink: A minor Greek god of Sleep, son of Nyx and Erebus. His mist can be used by a Dream-Hunternto make a human drowsy or to exert control over them.

Mist: Greek goddess of sleep, mother of the Dream-Hunters.

Nani?
That is long and complicated. I'm going to see how this develops before joining it. Good god that was alot of time.
Lady Anna
Could always give it a shot at dumbing it down. Luckily its mostly free-form...so its not as complicated as it looks. Sorry there is so much.
Servant Saber
I'm actually going to wait for someone to post a Hunter up, as I'd like to be a Squire. I'll give it a wait.
Lady Anna
Feel free to put up your Squire profile, as I will be putting up my Hunters, Talon and Anu Bashaa, up today.

Name: Talon Runningwolf (Aka Speirr)

Age: 1,200, appears 30

Race (Both current and before death if applicable): Celtic cheiftian, Dark-Hunter

Equipment: Has a full arsenal of custom made retractable swords, daggers, and Celtic sraeds made for him esspecially by a Dorean Squire out in the midwest. Is often willing to led his sraeds out to other Hunters, since he seems to have a stock pile of the wicked round three bladed things. Throw it and watch the fun and dust ensue.

Special Abilities: Telekinesis, ability to speak to the spirits of the dead (These are refered to as guides.)

Appearance: As with all Dark-Hunters his eyes are an inky black. Tall and powerfully built, he looks every inch like an ancient warrior. His reddish blonde hair falls to his shoulders, with three small braids at his temple hanging to his chest. Always dresses in black, which seems to be the norm for all Dark-Hunters, he has custom made leather clothing...and would never let denim touch his skin. He wears a leather jacket with celtic knot painting down one arm and over half the back...this mirrors the red and gold tattoo that was long ago tapped into his skin by his uncle. It covers one entire arm and half his back and chest, though its rare anyone ever sees the whole thing at once.

Likes: Chicory Coffee, Beignets, and talking on the phone with the viking Dark-Hunter, Wulf, who lives in Montana.

Dislikes: Health food, denim, and the color pink.

Cause of Death and Explanation (Dark-Hunters only...Note Were-Hunters in rare causes can become Dark-Hunters): Talon was sacrificed to the Celtic gods, supposedly to appease them. But once strapped down they murdered his sixteen year old sister before his eyes. It became apparent that this was not to appease the gods, but so that a cousin could take control of the clan. He was then murdered by his own people.

Biography (Minimum two Paragraphs please!):

Born to a Druid Priest and a Celtic Queen, Speirr lived happily with his mother and father until the day they were murdered by Saxon raiders. He managed to escape with his three month old sister. He went back to his mothers people, whom she had ran away from in order to marry Speirr's father. He begged them to take in the baby who refused to eat. They agreed on the condition that he must take the punishment that his mother ran away from. He was beaten by the memebers of the clan, and in so surviving...His uncle who was chieftian took them in. Long years passed and with each Speirr became stronger and more respected among the clan. He was soon pronounced his Uncle's heir. He married the daughter of a fisherman, named Nynia.

Unfortunately many things came to pass in short order. His uncle was murdered in battle, supposedly by another clan. This was a lie as it was truly his cousin. Speirr went and took revenge upon the clan that had supposedly murdered his uncle, taking the life of Calumus's son. For this Calumus cursed him, saying that he would be the cause of death for everyone he loved. His aunt was raped and murdered soon after, and his young wife died in childbirth within the same week. The god had not lied. As he grieved, his cousin moved in to encite the clan against him and take power.

After his death and rebirth as a Dark-Hunter, Talon went on a rampage. His Act of Vengence was to take the life of every memember of his clan, lastly his own cousin. He wiped them all out. Acheron trained him to suppress all the dark of emotions, and to remain calm and collected at all times. As it turns out the only way to drain his Dark-Hunter powers is by strong dark emotions.

Currently, Talon lives deep in the swamps of New Orleans. He has a pet alligator who guards his boyou shack by day. Her name is Bess. Once night hits however, he can be found either in the Cafe Du Monde...or riding his motorcycle down the streets looking for some fabios to wipe out.

Extra Info: Has a tee-shirt given to him by Wulf that says "I see dead people". The other Dark-Hunters in the city usually pick on him about this. He is also the only one who calls Acheron "T-Rex" (Due to Acheron's age) and gets away with it.
Lady Anna
Name: Anu Bashaa Vaijya

Age: 3,750 years old, apperance of a 27 year old man.

Race (Both current and before death if applicable): Babylonian Dark Hunter.

Equipment: Carries only a silver lighter and a few small iron daggers easily hidden on his person.

Special Abilities: Pyrokeisis, and Empathy

Appearance: A tall man, reaching a good 6 foot 6 inches. He is more lithe than more of his breathren, but just as powerful. He has skin the color of rich mocha, dulled only slightly from the millenia without the sun. His long black hair hangs to his waist, usually in a loose braid. His face is covered in a neatly trimmed goatee and mustache. His eyes have been darkened only slightly, as they were the color of chocolate when he was human. He alternates between wearing light linens and suedes to wearing Armani suits in white and black. Has a strong collar of pounded gold around his neck, and keeps both ears pierced in silver. On a lark pierced his left eyebrow as well. Strangely enough he wears sandals a good share of the time instead of anything else, and no matter what he may be wearing.

Likes:: Jazz, reading history, and extra spicy gumbo.

Dislikes: Heavy Metal and driving (He is not the best at it, and does it only when completely unavoidable)

Cause of Death and Explanation (Dark-Hunters only...Note Were-Hunters in rare causes can become Dark-Hunters): Murdered by his jealous half-brother and step-mother. They sought to overthrow the then present king and his eldest son, Samsu-iluna and feared that Anu Bashaa would be made king of Babylon instead of his brother Da'jsha. In the night they viciously murdered the king's ailing advisor, and blamed the murder on Anu Bashaa, for they had killed the man with Anu Bashaa's own dagger. Since there was no proof in his favor, he was beheaded the next night... Why Artemis answered his call for Vengence he has never told.

Biography (Minimum two Paragraphs please!): Born in 1743 B.C. to King Hammurabi and one of his beautiful dancing girls. It was said often that the King was enamored of the dancing girl nammed R'ya, but that she refused to be one of his wives. Their son was well beloved by them both. Until he was 12 he lived within the city with his mother, and on occasion with his father when he would sneak into the nice home they had within the wealthy section of Babylon. At 12 his mother died of a wasting sickness, and he was taken by his father into the palace. Instead of being locked away like other bastard children of the King, Anu Bashaa was kept near to his father and eldest brother at all times. It was obvious to anyone that the king and crown prince were very protective of the young boy. The King taught him to be wise and just at all times, how to care for the people...while his brother taught him how to lead men and to fight with all the skills Marduk had given to him. He grew into a man, and was yet not allowed to go to war with his father or brother. He was made regent, and all the kingdom knew that should anything become of the king and prince, that it would be Anu Bashaa who would then rule Babylon.

Jealous of the attention Anu Bashaa recieved from his father, the first wife and queen, soon began to plot the downfall of her husband and eldest son. Ultimately she failed for after she had manuvered Anu Bashaa to his death, it was she and her whiny weak son that he took vengence upon. After his death he took leave of Babylon altogether, and soon after his brother succeeded to the throne. He was instead relocated by the goddess to Turkey, and there was trained by Acheron in his Dark-Hunter powers.

Extra Info:

Often makes a habit of swearing in ancient Babylonian, or speaking the long dead language when he is frustrated. This confuses the hell out of Daimons and Dark-Hunters alike.

How very noir! happy.gif

Questions for you about Were-Hunters:
  • You said they have the same psychic abilities as their Apollion brethren, but I didn't see what psychic abilities those were.
  • Can Were-Hunters be safely exposed to sunlight?
  • What is the relation of Dark Hunters to Were-Hunters (e.g. indifference, hatred, etc.)?
  • Do Were-Hunters hail back to that original "creation" or have they been procreating across the generations?
  • Were-Hunters can become Dark Hunters; can they also become Daimons?
  • What kills a Were-Hunter?
Yeah, well, you can tell where my interests lie...
Lady Anna
I'm guessing were-hunters are your intrest. Unfortunately I realize that where they were concerned I did not provide as much info as I should have. So here we goooooo....

Alright. I was not quite awake last time I did this, so let me redo it and hopefully it will make more sense this time.

-Were-Hunters (See Arcadians and Katagaria)-

1. Pyschic abilities: As with their Apollite cousins, Were-Hunters do possess strong Pyschic abilities. Over time, unlike with the Apollites, this has not weakened or been diluted by propogation. All Were-Hunters possess the abilities to switch between their animal and human states, and also are able to travel along the Rytis waves to different places in time (Though this is dependant on the Full Moon. Only an Aristos/Aristi can travel between time periods without the moon needing to be full.) Depending on the Were-Hunter and the partia these abilities can change. Were-Hunters do not have set abilities. It also depends on the strength of the Were-Hunter how these abilities manifest, and how effective they tend to be. Very strong Were-Hunter magic users can do things effortlessly, while the others have side effects...such as losing clothes between shifting and not being able to rematerialize said clothing when they shift back to human form.

2. Sunlight: Yes Were-Hunters can walk in the sunlight, the only exception is a Were-Hunter that has become a Dark-Hunter.

Were Dark-Hunters: This is very possible, but very rarely happens. In all the thoughts of Dark-Hunters there is only one Were Dark-Hunter, stationed in Paris, France currently. Once Dark-Hunters they are no longer considered Were-Hunters. They do however retain all the abilities they had when Were-Hunters, except the ability to travel through time. They are also bound by the same rules as a Dark-Hunter and cannot walk in sunlight.

3. Were-Hunter, Dark-Hunter Relationships: Both are very strong, dominant species. As it is they tend to avoid eachother outside of a social enviroment. In Sanctuary they do mix. Most DH/WH relationships are just like human relationships. They like or hate eachother just because. It is usually Arcadians that have the most luck interacting and forming friendships with Dark-Hunters. While Katagaria tend to avoid everyone but their own kind in general.

4. They have propagated since the original. Were-Hunters live several centuries, but they are not immortal. They will die after a time. But there are direct descendants, but only in the Lykos and Drakos partias.

5. Were-Hunters cannot become daimons. As they are not bound by the same curse as their Apollite cousins, they have no reason to steal human souls to extend their own lives.

6. How to kill a Were-Hunter: Stab anything enough and it'll eventually bleed to death. Were-Hunters heal faster, and have a greater stamina for injury. But they do not have the abilities Dark-Hunters have to survive, and do not have a certain way they must be hurt in order to die. A strong enough electric shock will kill them, and that is the basis for many Arcadian and Katagaria weapons.

(Metriazo Collar: A thin silver collar that sends tiny ionic pulses into the body of a Were-Hunter to prevent him or her from using their magic. Whatever form they are in when they are collared, is the form they are stuck in until the collar is removed. The collar looks like a solid band of silver, and can only be removed with magic.)
kathycsus
Name: Mina Inattesa

Age: 217 (appearance 28 year old female)

Race: Were-Hunter, Katagaria, of the Lykos Patria

Equipment: Capture gun (gas fired and collapsible) loaded with glutamate darts which induce sudden excitotoxicity (seizures, coma, death). Also carries a ketamine antidote. She finds beautiful irony in hunting the human-based Arcadians with a weapon made for hunting animals.

Special Abilities: Shape-shifting (to human and back again) with proficiency unless under duress (injury, fatigue). Teleportation in short, line-of-sight distances (more powerful under the full moon and impossible under a new moon).

Appearance: Wolf: Large brown & silver female. Human: Usually 5’5”, 130 lbs. Retains the silky dark brown hair tipped in silver, kept long but pulled back in a ponytail. Amber eyes. Italian skin-tones and facial-features. Dresses fashionably, as fitting the occasion. Has a fascination for gold jewelry which she may pilfer at length, but the items are left behind when shifting back to wolf form.

Likes: MISCHIEF. The world is Mina’s playground, and life is full of sport. Gold jewelry, fast cars, nights on the prowl, Thai entrees and Italian desserts.

Dislikes: RESPONSIBILITY. Beer, boredom, and television. Being wet or dirty. The physical limitations of the human body in areas of scent, hearing, and night-vision. She has unpleasant nightmares of being caged.

Biography (Minimum two Paragraphs please!): Mina was whelped in the Tiber river valley in central Italy, below the Civita di Bagnoregio, as a direct descendant of Lupa, the wolf that suckled Romulus and Remus. At puberty she moved to Rome. She has four brothers: the eldest (Folco) became a Slayer, the youngest (Donato) became a Strati. In 1908, Folco set sail for the Americas; seeking his protection, Donato and one other brother (Yuri) booked passage on another ship to follow him. Mina came for the adventure. She still has one brother left in Italy (Jacopo) and they speak occasionally. She is aware of the whereabouts of the other three brothers, but for the sake of Folco’s safety they rarely speak.

Once in New York Mina tried her hand at several odd jobs but found the expectations and repetition stifling. She’s had more success with the excitement of commissioned mafia work—deliveries and occasional grand theft—and still continues to make herself available for employment when she needs the money. It also offers low-level protection from excessive police scrutiny in certain cities where a mafia presence has been established.

Extra Info: Mina still fights the urge to chase and kill things that move, particularly things that run from her.
Lady Anna
Approved. I like it. Definately hoping that Mina's brothers come into play later. She will definately have to have a run in with Ash who is the big bad ass in New Orleans....or anywhere he happens to be at the time. PM me and we will work out where and how she should first come in. Again WELCOME!!!
Nani?
Alright, give me about a week from Today. I'll have a good profile worked out.

I like it, even if it's several pages long.

Welcome!!!! Sorry again about how long it is....I just wanted there to be enough good info to make it worth playing.

Look forward to seeing your character(s), Vladimir!
Nani?
Character. It's only one. And it's a guy.

I can't RP girls good. Which is logical because I'm a guy.....
Lady Anna
Well we look forward to seeing him. Any idea as to what kind of character he is going to be? (Were-Hunter, Dark-Hunter, Daimon, Squire....etc...)
Nani?
I know that he's an Arcadian, and he changes into a Jackal.

I can pump out physical traits easy, but the History and name are the biggest problem.
Lady Anna
Need any help feel free to catch me on YIM if you have it. I'm an ancient history buff and trying to get my degree in Ancient Civ. So I know stuff. I'm thinking for a Jackel you may want to make your Arcadian Egyptian.
Lady Anna
Albel asked some very good questions. Hopefully they help everyone else as well.

For example : if a mere human or a squire punches a dark hunter or other supernatural being in the nose, would he be able to hurt it?

A:If a human or a Squire punches a Dark-Hunter it probably would not even faze them. If they punch hard enough they might get a little blood for the whole effort...most likely their own.

How high are dark hunters, daimons and such able to jump, and what height are they able to jump off not to get hurt when they land on the ground?

A: Maybe a little higher than say a normal human being....but not like Marvel comic superhero jumping lol. If they fall from high enough its possible to break bones, but they mostly heal within a night or two. I'd say 15 stories or so would push the bone shattering limit.

Do dark hunters and their squires MUST be in good relations? Meaning, can they insult each other (I know about sex restrictions and huting one another) I'm thinking verbally hurting. She mentioned that the squire is rewarded handsomly, and if that squire is someone who has no friends and such he would suit almost any dark hunter, so they would both profit, but may dislike each other.

A: Dark-Hunters and Squires do not have to be in good relations. There are a few Dark-Hunters and Squires that absolutely despise eachother...but they work together because they have to. Usually because a Squire has certain qualifications that a Dark-Hunter is looking for...such as speaking the native language of the Dark-Hunter. Most Dark-Hunters and their Squires however do get along.

Next, how does a human become a squire?

A: Humans become Squire usually through generations such as Blue blood squires...or by accident, in which they have the choice to become a Squire and protect the Dark-Hunter secrets, or be silenced. Dorean Squires are most likely Squires who lost a Dark-Hunter permanantly and decided to serve all instead of get close to one.

Do D' dream-hunters appear in physical form in front of a new dark hunter or in their dreams? Do they teach them some skills or just lore?

A: All Dream-Hunters have physical form. Usually they appear as etheral men and women with black hair and very pale blue eyes. However Dream-Hunters can only feel emotions within dreams, so they often appear cold and unfeeling.

How does a human become a dark hunter when he dies (I know he needs to be killed in a manner which would exact retribution), but what of the process?

A: It is usually a human death, but one that is brutal (Crucifixtion, Beheading...slaughter by loved ones...etc.). The soul cries out as they die. Artemis hears this cry and comes to them while their souls are awaiting whatever reward or punishment they expect. She offers her bargain and if excepted she joins the body and soul together again....healing and reviving the body, adding the extra Dark-Hunter abilities. Lastly she extracts the soul back out, where appears the double bow and arrow brand that is here mark.

If a dark hunter kills another dark hunter or his squire or another human, do the "authorities" sense it or can the perpetrator hide his misdeed?

A: First Note...Whatever a Dark-Hunter does to another Dark-Hunter he will feel ten-fold. So as far as is known, no Dark-Hunter has ever managed to kill another and survive. As for Squires and Humans....Acheron immediately knows. Depending on the deed...the Dark-Hunter may or may not be executed.

As I understood, there are gods who have taken a human form and walk the earth. They are gods meaning extremely powerful. So why don't they kill all those daimons with a swift thought instead of binding these souls to a body?
maybe a bit... stupid question

A: Gods and Goddesses are usually in it for themselves. They could care less about what happens to the humans, save perhaps for the ones who worship them outright. Also there are gods and goddesses on the both sides of the scale. Some that help the Dark-Hunters and some who help the Daimons. Lets just leave it to the fact that the gods don't particularly give a crap.

Are the fangs of dark hunters retractable meaning to look like ordinary human's, or are they always long?

A: Always long, but Dark-Hunters learn early how to hide them effectively.

How long can a dark hunter stay exposed to sunlight? Or is it instant death? If it's not instant, what does start to happen to them?

A: Its instant, as it is for Daimons/Apollites.

There are dragons mentioned. How big are they, and if a human shapeshifts into a dragon, wouldn't it be noticed? Presuming they are big.

A: the Drakos Partia, Dragons...usually stay in the place where they are actually common place. That would be medieval Europe. There is one living in the attic of Sanctuary...but He usually only sleeps there, and returns to Medieval France when he wishes to roam.

Atlantis is I suppose big. Wouldn't it be detected by modern equipement, or is it hidden in some supernatural means?

A: Simple...the Gods and Goddess, especially the Greek one, keep it hidden. In Atlantis, is the means to release Apollymi, and since she would obliterate them all if she did, they make sure no one can find it. They will go as far to murder anyone who gets too close.

Yay! An Arcadian! Someone who's butt I can kick. tongue.gif
-Vincent-
Name: Vincent Kastien

Age: 22

Race (Both current and before death if applicable): Squire

Equipment: None

Special Abilities: None

Appearance: Stands at 188 cm and weighs 82 kg. Has long, brown hair reaching the middle of his back and light brown eyes. Wears black most of the time.

Likes: Metal music, hiking.

Dislikes: People who talk much, rhetorical questions, yelling, jewelery.

Cause of Death and Explanation (Dark-Hunters only...Note Were-Hunters in rare causes can become Dark-Hunters): %

Biography (Minimum two Paragraphs please!): It was a night like any other. Cool summer breeze and a cleaner air than during the day. Vincent was sitting on one of the benches in Audubon Park, New Orleans. At the time he was twenty years old. Deep in his thoughts and even deeper in the debt he owed for the rent. Recently he lost a crappy job with which he could still barely pay the rent, and now that he has no income at all, eviction was at hand.

It was the late hours of that night when his life changed completely. He heard a clash, a yell, a clash and a few more yells. Indeed he was frightened, but nevertheless went to check it out. He saw a young woman with short red hair, wearing leather, decapitating a man with a sword. A katana as he could discern. Before he could slip unnoticed, she saw him and chased him, catching up to him rather quickly. She hit him rendering him unconscious.

He woke up in some kind of a bar. After a few moments he recognized the place. It was a bar he came to on several occasions. Suddenly he heard voices.

„I ran a thorough check on him. His name is Vincent Kastien. He has no friends, parents are far away and lives in a small one bedroom apartment. He owes a lot of money for rent and is soon to be evicted. And also he is jobless.“ Some man with a rather deep voice spoke.
„What a ragtag.“ A woman's voice.
„Yes, but you could not ask for a more appropriate squire.“
„What? Him? He's a lowlife scum who only recently got out of puberty.“ The female voice sounded irritated.
„You don't have a squire Estella. You got in trouble many times because of that and now you have a perfect chance.“
„Assuming I agree, how do you know that he will agree?“
„Oh come on, jobless, soon to be evicted. What other reasons do you need?“

The woman was silent. Soon after the door to the back room where Vincent was opened and he noticed the young woman from last night.
„So, you are awake.“ The young woman crouched beside him. Vincent was silent. „Are you afraid child?“ She asked.
„Child? You are two maybe three years older than me.“ He said as he frowned.

She looked at the man behind her and they both laughed.

They kept him there for three days explaining and proving things to him. Explaining the conditions, the risks and the rewards. He had no choice but to accept. Since then he continued living in the same apartment, only this time he had a roommate and a lot more money. He did not ask for glamour because the way he lived suited him, and that also suited Estella.

Extra Info: Clings to life, cynical, misanthrope. His motto is subsistence. The dead no longer exist for him.
Lady Anna
If your going to Squire for a Dark-Hunter named Estella...please put her profile up, weather you use her regularly or not. And if you don't mind, the mans voice could definately be Acheron's. I think that would work best, unless you'd like to name the man doing the background check. Let me know how that works for you.

Otherwise approved!

Welcome to the RP!
-Vincent-
It can be Acheron.

Name: Estella Fabrizia

Age: 162

Race (Both current and before death if applicable): Dark-Hunter

Equipment: Polished katana.

Special Abilities: Quick.

Appearance: Stands at 172 cm and weighs 63 kg. Has short hair dyed bright red. Mostly wears leather.

Likes: Novel „Emma“ as it was the first one she read. Punctuality.

Dislikes: People who are late. The fact she will never be able to see a sunset.

Cause of Death and Explanation (Dark-Hunters only...Note Were-Hunters in rare causes can become Dark-Hunters): Killed by her fiancee.

Biography (Minimum two Paragraphs please!): It was a year 1867. Estella was 22 at the time and was engaged with a gentleman of high class. She lived with her parents in London when she got very ill. The doctor said she wouldn't make it. Her fiancee was by her side all of the time. But then miraculously she started to get better and the doctor said she might live. When she got enough strength back, she asked her fiancee to take her to see the sunset. As they came to a suitable location, they sat and waited as it was still a bit early for the sunset. That was when her fiancee drew a gun and aimed at her.

„What are you doing!?“ She exclaimed.
„You weren't supposed to get better. Your parents gave their legacy to us before you got ill. Meaning that if you die, my darling, it all belongs to me. But I had to be a caring man so they wouldn't change their minds.“
„But you already have the money and the riches you'll ever need. Do you claim that you do not love me?“ She was mortified.
„Love you? I never loved you.“ He looked to the sky. „I am truly sorry my darling, but you will never see another sunset again.“ And the gun fired splattering her brains.

She was revived by Acheron and she took her revenge in the 24 hour limit. Being a romantic and a kind soul, she didn't make him suffer much. As by the rules, she never made contact to anyone from her past life. Also, she realized that her fiancee's last words before he had killed her were true. She will never see another sunset again.

Some dozens of years had passed when she moved to America where she lives today.

Extra Info: As the time she was born in requested from her to be gentle and caring, she indeed grew to be that way. And is that way today, only much of that part of her has faded due to the harshness of today's world.
Nani?
EDIT:

Name: Shenti Anubis

Age: 218

Race: Arcadian (Tsakalis Patria)

Equipment: Kalashnikov 74 Assault Rifle (Modified for Scope attachment), Hieroglyph-engraved Knife (serated edges for cutting).

Special Abilities: Main ability is the transformation into Jackal form (He is able to morph parts of his body seperatly, rather than become entirely a Jackal), but is also an excellent shot, especially during dark conditions. He can minorly control magic, but the ability is so limited that the most he can do is call up a duststorm, which he often employs for cover, as he makes his more....conventional....kill.

Appearance: He obscures his hair and forehead with wrappings, but his eyes and mouth always are out. His eyes are constantly looking around, always observing his surroundings in a frantic, almost paranoid manner. His neck is wrapped in another cloth, and he wears a camoflouged military suit, although he sometimes wears a more traditional desert garb, complete with long robes.

Likes: Killing, Security, the Desert, anything Alcoholic.

Dislikes: Water, risks, and letting his enemies live.

History: He was one of the few people who didn't know that they were able to change. At the age of thirteen he knew what he could do, but nearly lost his mind because of it. Narrowly escaping insanity, he instead has a severe case of paranoia. When one of his friends grabbed his shoulder at night one day, Shenti instinctively morphed his head into that of a Jackal, and bit through his friends juggular vein. He fled across the border to Syria, and later joined an insurgency in Iraq.

Even though he would have been willing too, he was kept from blowing himself up. It was determined that "Allah's Will" was to make him a sharpshooter, and he was trained well with an AK-74. He reportadly killed over seventy-four enemy soldiers during his brief time in Iraq. It soon came to an end, as he was deemed to unstable even for Suicide bombers.

Denied his chance for glory in death, he turned away from religion, and became very bitter. He drifted more and more into his animal instincts, and eventually found his way to Egypt in Jackal form. He wandered in the desert for days, eventually finding shelter from the harsh wins in an ancient tomb. He awoke in Human form, inside what appeared to be a tomb of a long-forgotten Pharoah. It was dedidcated to the God of Death, Anubis, and it was where Shenti abandoned his last name for the name of the God. It was there where he found his dagger, with each Hieroglyph dedicated to the Jackal-headed God.

He found his way through the desert, and headed into Cairo. It was there that he encountered his first true enemy, his brother. Like him, his brother belonged to the Patria of Tsakalis, but he was not an Arcadian. He tried to kill Shenti, but found himself dead within a few minutes of fighting. It was covered the next day by the news that somebody had been horrifically mutilated in an ally. The head was driven into the wall by a wooden pole, and the body was completely gone, ripped so thoroughly apart that nobody could have pieced it together if they tried.

Shenti now sought explanations for why he was different, why his family was different. He heard the legends of the Greek gods on the streets, from other similar to him, and from his brother's diary. He felt his hatred growing each time he read or heard the legend, until he was almost consumed by it. But before he was lost to madness and rage, Anubis appeared to him in a dream. He begged of Shenti to restore the Egyptian Gods to at least equal footing with the Greek gods, and gave Shenti a promise that once he had accomplished his task he would fix that way that Shenti's life had gone.

It is now the only thing Shenti works for, and he is as dedicated to it as the Greek Gods are to keeping Atlantis hidden.

Aye, if it's alright, I'll post up my profile(s) for my character(s) sometime. I’m not sure yet what race they’ll be and some of those details...I’ll brood over it today/tonight and try to get my profiles up tomorrow. So, yeah, just letting you know I’m interested in joining this...
Lady Anna
Looking forward to having you on board DB!

Welcome to the RP, I can't wait to meet your character(s)!
-Vincent-
Is my other character approved?
Dragon Brigade
Name : Isesi Feld

Age: 117 (with the appearance of a nineteen year old female)

Race: Katagaria, of the Lykos patria.

Equipment: One throwing knife kept hidden in her right boot and one in her left boot; lock picks, money, and an old ID card are kept in a pouch at her waist; and a sharp edged, long stilleto is slung around her back.

Special Abilities: Quick reflexes and especially strong lower body strength; can shape-shift from human to animal form easiest when angry; lastly, she is telepathic enough to be able to hear surface thoughts of those within close proximity to her.

Appearance: Wolf form-Ghostly white, silky fur and black eyes. Her claws are sharp, and when out are about half an inch in length. She is missing one on her right paw.

Human form-Long, thin, red hair flows down to about six inches below her shoulders. Her eyes are a dark grey and convey coldness. A scar runs from under her left ear to her chin as a result of a claw mark given by another wolf. Her skin is white, respectively.

Her clothes are quit revealing, not covering up anything but what is neccessary. Rather, the black cloth seems to wind around her legs in a criss cross pattern, leaving skin showing. Her upper body is covered by a most revealing top as well; it is made of a soft cloth that is a dark grey with black, almost spidery, threads on top. It is cut open around the abdomen area both in front and in the back, but she connected the sides by six tight, criss-crossing black threads; also it is open slightly around the base of her neck on down, revealing a bit of cleavege. However, she wears a long black robe over everything, with the hood up, because she is quit paranoid of the world around her.

On her right hand ring finger she has a black ring with a red ruby embedded in it. On her left hand she bears two tight, snakelike rings on her index finger and one on her ring finger. On her arm, over the dark grey cloth which, unlike the legs or torso was not tampered with and thus covered her arms completely, she wore golden yellow bracelets (four in counting on her right arm, three on her left). Her boots are a midnight black and are not the heavy clunkers, they are more of the feminine build.

Likes: Dark places with which to dwell, symphonic metal music, to be alone with her thoughts, art in all shapes and forms (she considers killing to be a sort of art as well, or at least its execution), children (up to age 6), and her favorite food is spaghetti and any sort of meat dish.

Dislikes: People(ages 7+), brightly lit areas, people with superiority complexes, and being told what to do.

Biography: Isesi was a pup born of a small obscure pack of wolves living near Middle Asia. Her pack had been breed from the descendants of those who had been experimented on during the days of King Lycaon. She was born as a Katagaria, but she spends most of her time in human form rather than wolf form. Even though it is more comfortable to be in her birth form (wolf), she finds it benificial to seem at ease in human body, lest Arcadians would find out what she is and kill her if they couldn’t tell already at first glance from her animal behavior.

Her main job at the moment is to find a certain individual with whom she has a personal vendetta against. He is an Arcadian who disgraced her in such a manner she can not forgive. Torn from her right paw he took a claw, one which he wears around his neck as a souvenier. He cares not for her that he would take that, but rather simply did it for the pleasure of it. Isesi cares only right now for killing him for embarrassing her like that.

Name: Piers Cordden

Age: 149 (has the appearance of a twenty year old male)

Race: Arcadian; can change into a bear (Ursulan patria).

Equipment: At his waist he carries a sharpened sword; on his hands he has claws for hand-to-hand combat.

Special Abilities: Strong upper and lower body strength (comes mostly from being able to transform into a bear); high stamina; good eyesight for a human, but his reactions aren’t as quick as would be expected.

Appearance: Bear form-He is a big, shaggy brown bear when he chooses to transform. Standing at about 6 feet, he is about the same height as a bear as when he is not.

Human form-His pupils are almost snakelike slits, with dark brown iris around them. His eyebrows are quit thin and almost non-existent. His head is shaved, otherwise his natural hair color is a dark brown. His face has long since lost its boyish nature and now is revealing a rather chiseled look to his face. His loewr lip has a cut in it that extends down ot his chin as a result of an earlier fight. The cut also reaches to the bottom of his upper lip, mainly because overall his lips are relatively thin. His skin tone is black.

Over his head he wears a black bandana that has been through lots of wear-and-tear, and it shows. Both of his ears are pierced and usually he has two small gold rings through each lobe. He wears a sleeveless, tight, black t-shirt showing rippling muscles underneath. The muscles are also apparant by his exposed arms. He wears tight black pants that have a few holes gained by his rough-and-tumble life-style, but none are big enough to be even remotely revealing. On his feet he wears heavy black combat boots.

On his right hand ring finger he has a gold ring of his deceased brother’s, and around his neck he keeps a wolf’s claw as a prize.

Likes: Fish, classical music along with the occassional rock-n-roll songs, playing the guitar, people, swimming, and even sometimes he likes to dance.

Dislikes: Wolves, popcorn, loud heavy music, too bright of lights, humidity, and also dislikes being told what to do.

History: Due to an unfortunate boating accident, his brother and he were stranded elsewhere and attacked by a wolf. She managed to kill his brother, but Piers trapped the female wolf and tore off her claw. She ran away, otherwise he would have finished her off then and there. Since that day he has been hunting her down, also killing any other Katagaria who might get in his way.

He does not like to be in an organized group but would rather prefer to be solo in his skulking about, thus he has no real job aside from hunting down the wolf. Otherwise, unnofficially, he can sometimes be found selling fish at the market for him to earn some money, else he would become bankrupt.

{I hope these are acceptable...As always, I’m happy to change anything that needs a fixerupper. One question however: Arcadians and Katagaria are doomed to fight against each other, but is it possible two of the different species could befriend one another in some sort of way, or even come up with a truce not to kill the other?}
Lady Anna
For Isesi...
Katagaria are animals who can take human form, but when all is said and done they are animals. She would be more inclined toward her wolf instricts than anything. So she would most likely enjoy meat, or if not a ton...at least it would be in some form or shape a prefered meal.

Other than that they are wonderful and approved. We should be starting soon, as I do believe we now have the required amount of characters to move from incubation to the general RP forum. Yay!!!!!

Answer to above question: They are doomed never to have anything more than a temporary truce. But in certain situations there have been instances where the two species do befriend eachother. At Sanctuary which is run by a Katagaria Ursalian partria, Arcadians are welcome and even a few work for the Bears. So yes!

TO -Vincent-:
Yes Estella is approved. Sorry. I thought i'd already approved her.

Alright, I edited Isesi's profile happy.gif Thanks, I look forward to the RP!

The Embrace of the Night IC thread is now up! Let the fun begin!
Seluna
I have updated this roleplay to my Drache roleplay archives, and here is the [link]. I hope it is useful and please don't feel shy to tell me if anything needs to be changed or updated. ^^ Happy roleplaying, everyone.
Dragon Brigade
You had said you wanted every character's profile up before they could be posted in the IC. I was wondering if I just have someone who isn't really a character and just some guy who'll be gone after one or two posts, do you want me to still put up a profile?

Edit: I have another question, hopefully it won't be considered as too silly...Are people's thoughts monitored? Apollo, who cursed the Apollites, didn't want them to somehow rebel, so would those under his command also monitor peoples thoughts to make sure no one was telepathically commuting and planning against them? King Lycaon was found actually in the process of doing something and was stopped, but if it was all planned in the mind first delicately enough, would they (the gods) try and stop the cursed from rebelling?

I guess, in the end, it would be unrealistic for them to manage to bring any sort of rebellion to work wonders that way...They would plan it all in the mind, but even then, when they bring the act to occurence they would still be caught...

Yeah...I'm just wondering if they would bother doing something like that...
Nani?
Profile up. I hope we can use guns, because my guys a bit insane, and what insane person is complete without heavy weapons?
Lady Anna
Seluna, it looks great. If you could add Vlad's character to the list. And are you going to add all the NPC's?

Vlad- The character is approved and I love him. Definately going to have to do something with the Egyptian gods. Studied Ancient Egypt since I was little, so I will put up the Egyptian pantheon as soon as I have my internet connection back....

NOTICE: Only going to be here maybe twice a week for a bit, until the internet is taken care of, I can only get online at the library or internet cafe.

DB- The gods can't really read thoughts. As it is the Daimons and Apollites are rebeling...and trying to find a way to either destroy Apollo or free themselves from the curse. I'm sure if the gods knew they would try to stop it.
Dragon Brigade
Alright, thanks. It was just a thought I had and was wondering, so I asked. I'll try and get my first post up soon!
Nani?
I just realized, you have THE longest subtitle. It's funny.
Seluna
I treat RPers-created-NPCs as secondary characters, and their profiles are sometimes quite searched for. That's why I added them as well. Anyway, Vlad's character has been added. I've also changed his name there to Vladimir (it was originally Chrono Soul).
Lady Anna
Going to be away for awhile. I may have said this before, but just wanted to reinstate it. Be back soon hopefully!
Bow Haven
I was just wondering, could we have a human character that becomes a dark-hunter in a few posts? or do we have to have the dark-hunter from the beginging? and if we can have the human (well i should be more specific, when i say 'human' i mean more of the being that becomes a dark-hunter. human is misleading, sorry) do we have to post up a profile for them and when they become a dark-hunter?
I can't wait for this rp, if i don't join, i'll probably read it to see what happens.
Thank you.
Lady Anna
Its an interesting idea. Put up the profile, maybe include how your human is going to become a Dark-Hunter so I can see it. Can't wait to see it!
Nani?
We're all waiting on you to post next Anna....

I've sorta got my next post...in the whole back of my mind stage.....but yeah, we're waiting for you.
Lady Anna
Posted my dears. Enjoy.

Here I am again happy.gif

Name: Juke Phillip Guarana

Age: 210; appears 17

Race: Katagaria Were-Hunter; Gerakin partria. (Owl to be more specific.)

Equipment: Retractable Italian fauchard((image))

Special Abilities: Shapeshifting into a Human, and then back to his natural animal self. Studied Jeet Kune-Do for hand to hand combat.

Appearance: Around 5' 9'' with short blonde hair, wears a black beanie visor. Usualy wears a white T-shirt brown baggy pants and green tinted sunglasses, for his human state. Animal state, he is a Great Horned Owl, (+image+ )

Likes: Hunting, causing trouble, reading, chivalry and defending ones honor.

Dislikes: Animal hunters, the sport of hunting animals for fun rather than for food. Not being able to see well at night while human and when his mom pushed him out of the nest almost to his death.

Biography: Starting as a hatchling in North America, Juke hatched later than all of his brothers and sisters, making him the youngest. When they all came of age, wich was usualy a few weeks old, mom pushed them out. Fly or Die she said. Juke was the last out and since he was the youngest, mom favored him the most. Juke looked down at the ground, knowing he was hundreds of feet above it, at that moment his mother whispered to him, Fly back safely and pushed him out. Juke realized as he decended that one of his brethren hadn't made it. It was Pocco, the fourth born out of eleven, the quiet one. Juke spread his wings, hoping to gain balance or sustain some sort of 'flight' so to not hit the ground. Juke did it as if instinct, he learned how to fly and returned back to the nest with the others who were waitting for him.
Its time to move, its getting cold said Mother, We are going to migrate to a place called Italy.

Durring one of the nights of the migration, a storm was hitting them hard. Winds were fast and hard and Juke wasn't able to keep up with them, the storm drifted him off course. Mother noticing this, tried to yell to him to keep up, but knew it wouldn't happen. Her final good-bye to Juke were Remember the first thing I ever told you! Juke took the next gust of wind and followed it. This lead him throughout Asia where he finaly landed and settled in Japan. He stayed there for many years, learning there ways and martial arts. When Juke was near 120 years old, he suddenly dissapeard from Japan, hoping that anyone that knew him, passed away. Juke flew West, and settled in Rome.

Extra Info: Juke carries an Italian fauchard in memory of his mother and brethren. The first thing his Mother ever told him was "Be Fearless" as she nestled with the last egg in the nest.

It has been awhile for me, and I hope this is suitable.

Lady Anna
Welcome Gamer!

Love the katagarian owl, there is no patria for Were-Owls....but I will make an exception and add it to the Gerakin patria, which are all birds of prey. Profile is approved, feel free to begin posting. Most characters are free to interact with. The bulk being in Sanctuary at the moment, if you want to start there.
Gamer-Since-Birth
Soudns good happy.gif

I just made him into that patria because I figured you would give me some leaway because an Owl is also a bird or prey, wich was the birds you named=D
