Yeah, after a big teaser site that showed different environment pictures every week, the countdown finally ended on Bethesdas site to reveal a trailer for the 3rd installment in the Fallout series.

Link can be found here: http://fallout.bethsoft.com/

Or unless your computer hates Quicktime, theres a flash one at Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/gaming/clips/fallout-3-trailer-266093.php

After watching it, feel free to highlight the text below in case it might answer one of your questions.

Highlight below:

1) Yes, that's done in-engine
2) Yes, that's The Ink Spots (singing "I Don't Want to Set the World On Fire")
3) Yes, that's Ron Perlman.

Yeah I just spotted this todday too it looks fantastic and even better news is that its been confirmed for PS3 and 360 as well as the PC. Although i'll be hanging on until I buy a PS3 to play since to presence of a definite hard drive will cut down the loading times like it did with Oblivion on the PS3.

I just love the idea of a free roaming RPG like we saw in Oblivion set in a post apocalyptic future. Here is gamespot's article regarding Fallout 3 going multi http://uk.gamespot.com/news/6172096.html

Here is the Fallout 3 on E3 Press Conference. I don't know, as a fan of the old series I kinda expected more. The gameplay looks a bit crappy to me and the visuals are not that stunning. The humanoid beings look a bit skinny from my point of view, as if their body figures weren't done right. The surroundings are awesome though.

I wouldn't worry too much about the visuals they are currently unoptimised according to what I read on IGN so hopefully they'll see an upgrade although personally I love what I've seen so far. In fact after loving Oblivion I could honestly say that if I could only buy one game this year (which is a big possibility considering my lack of finances and time) then Fallout 3 would be it and it's looking likely that I'll be buying the 360 version because of the downloadable content - I was actually intending to buy the PS3 version.

Yeah I guess you're right. I'm still looking forward to it. It has that nice Fallout feel that I can't shake it off no matter if some parts aren't my liking.
The Evil Dead
The visuals will be solid there's no reason for them not to be.

I was impressed by the gameplay I saw today on G4's coverage of E3 and the trailers are all very promising. Do want.

I watched the 3 part demos of Fallout 3 last night and it looks awesome. I like how you can freeze time and choose a part of the enemy to shoot or attack automatically.

That is nothing new to the Fallout series, but they did take out two parts where you could hit the opponent in the previous games. Eyes and groin. I don't quite understand how that function works in F3 now. It seems to me that your character fights freely but uses action points for that sort of thing. What about the burst mode? Guess that is out of the question eh?

im trying to get pumped for this game but im having a hard time. Dont see myself picking this up when there is so much more out there i feel looks better.

This is actually the first Fallout I have heard about or seen, so I do not now much on it apart from world destructing and people and things put in to all those chambers. Do you know if it follows a story, or you just go around killing things and the such?

You hardly make mistakes when you're writing. You drunk?

Fallout is the legendary turn-based, role-playing game for PC developed by Black Isle and published by Interplay in the year 1997. This game fallows a post-apocalyptic setting in the 22nd century but the whole day and age is heavily influenced by the post-World War II nuclear paranoia of the 1950s.

I can freely say that if any RPG gave you freedom, it was this game, fallowed by a sequel of course. You could do quests in whatever order you liked and however you liked. If you were powerful enough, you could destroy an entire village, together with elderly people and even kids.

Fallout 3 takes place 36 years after the Fallout 2. While the previous games fallowed your character from the bird perspective with turn-based combat, this one is an Oblivion-type game that really jumps ahead of the original, and much to my disappointment too. The game has a main story of course, and quests which you can do. Not sure how Bethesda will handle all of it but I'm pretty sure that if you liked their Oblivion, you'll love this one too. As for me, I'm not impressed but I'm eager to see the final result.

The demo's showed that it is more of an FPS, and lots of weapons were shown. I will decide weather to get this if the story and gameplay are good enough.
The Evil Dead
The combat is either live or you can choose to attack limbs and execute attacks that way instead.

Wow, we really don't have a more active thread on this game? Either that or the search engine is messing with me again. Anyway, just a heads up:

Just a head’s up, we’ve received word from the folks at Amazon that the Fallout 3 Survival Edition for PlayStation 3 has sold out. So if you’re looking for it on their site, now you know why it’s not there. For those wanting to order the Survival Edition on Xbox 360 or Games for Windows, we’re told these are expected to sell out soon as well.

You don't know what you're talking about. There's definitely going to be dialogue, mature themes and a proper story(a main quest) plus side storys (quests) so I don't know where you're getting your info nocomment.gif

There will be mature themes, as there are sexual themes, tobacco, drinking and drug usage. The only thing that will be missing is killing children. Nudity wasn't present in the first place, if I recall correctly. Dialogue will be present along with a story and side quests. Fallout 3 wouldn't exist in a first place if it didn't contain those things.

Thanks for the update cloudycat.

Yeeeessss.

Need game buy. ;D

MOK has obviously not played the first or second ones.

I had the second one for computer awhile back. I liked it a lot, not my favorite game, but I like a little more linearaity to a game. I just ended up getting the best armor and weapon and destroying cities just because.

I might rent it IF I get a PS3, or buy it for like $20 or something down the road.

wow you played the abomination that was FO2 /golfclap

FO1 is what, 10 times better? yea, around that.

2 was just a mess of pop-culture references and gimmicky quests.

also, no child killing = no game, sorry.
