Question ; is it possible for me to get a savegame from suikoden 2 with all the 180 stars recruited and put this on my PS3 so i can use that same save game with suikoden 2 ( but then on the PS3 )

and if so , would anyone be able to provide me with a save like this ?

i already tried using the dexdrive saves from suikosource but they arent being recognised by my PS3 and i would really like to see the other game endings insted of just reading about them

You can get yourself an official PS3 Memory card adapter(the non official adapters are supposed to be crap) which transfers all PS1 and PS2 saves to the PS3 HDD like this one - http://www.videogamesplus.ca/product_info....oducts_id=12414

Which is a good idea but once you've transfered all your PS1 and PS2 saves to the PS3 then there's no further use for it afterwards other than ebaying it because apparently they are quite hard to come by.

Lol I see, what about downloading the save file to a PS2 memory card(assuming you have a PS2) and use the PS3 memory card adapter afterward? Beyond that I'm very sure there's no other way you could do it, the best alternative would be to buy or replay Suikoden 1 and transfer your save file to Suikoden 2, its definitely worth either buying or replaying.

ive played through both games over 10 times so i'm not gonna be doing that again for a loooong time

Well Gamefaqs has such files for you to download, the problem is that you need a little gadget to connect your PS2 to your computer.
Other than that, there is no way possible.

Maybe you are able to get a wireless connection with your PS2 in some way and than have your computer try to connect to your PS2.
I don't even know it is possible.

As far as I know, you need a PS2 memorycard to PC thingy.

yeh , the files they offer up for download are just like the suikosource files ; dexdrive files, but these files need to be converted to a readable playstation memory card image file ( which is what a dexdrive would do )

So how do you plan on transfering the file to your PS2 memorycard without that dexdrive?
I suppose you're trying to transfer it to your PS3 directly and thats why yu need the save file in it's original format?
Well unfortunitely I don't have a way of connecting my PS2 to my PC. And I think the most common way to transfer your files is through that device, hence why they all are in that format. It might not be possible to move the save files to teh pc otherwise? I'm not sure.

Well, when I was still in Holland, I could do that =P.

I might have another solution, which I don't know if it will work.
I have an Action Replay MAX and it came with an USB memory stick.
If I start the AR I can put save dates on the USB and it is obvious that the USB stick can be inserted into the computer.
I have some PS2 files on it, but I do not know if I can add PSX files on it as well.
If this is the case, I can upload you the files.
The problem here is that most of my stuff is still packed in boxes and I can't really look for it now.

I will have a look at it, though my mind tells me that I deleted my old Suikoden II file, because I wanted to start over, but I haven't finished it yet.
Plus, you will also play with the names I gave the heroes, which are not the original names =P.

Anyway, once the time comes, I'll have a look at it, might be this week, or next week. I truly have no idea. Things are packed and there is no place at the moment to place them.
I'll have a look in the boxes and see if I can find the memorycard and usb port somewhere in the next few days.

You can still get Mukumuku. Gilbert..you did not damage him when you first see him when fighting the strategic battle?
I thought Flik and Viktor would go after him straight away.
