Sounds complicated, but it isn't really. This OOC is also where any comments you have go.
Right, onto the RPG. The rules are simple:
1) No god-modding.
2) No major controlling of other characters. You're allowed to control them for the purposes of a conversation (etc.) though.
3) For every fight in the Shaman Fight you win, your character has the chance to 'learn' a new technique. PM me with the details of the technique you want to learn, I'll OK it, and then put it in your character's spirit info. post.
4) I run this RPG, so my word goes.
5) Break the rules three times and you'll be asked to leave.
Onto less boring stuff. You probably recognize the below diagram. Take into account that when you battle, you can beat a stronger opponent (or lose to a weaker one) by using the Elements to your advantage.

Now we get to the good stuff.
THE SHAMAN FIGHT!
Round 1: Qualifying
To obtain an Oracle Bell/Pager, you must earn one! Lay one hit on a Patch official judge in Oversoul in under ten minutes to enter the Shaman Fight.
You play as your character and the Patch official. You don't get a new technique for beating him, however.
As of today, *Will be announced* you will three weeks, in which you must obtain your Oracle Bell. The rest of the time can be spent pursuing your character’s own personal storyline or interacting with other characters and with your spirits.
On the *Will be announced* the qualifying stage will end, and you will be informed of the details of the next stage of the tournament.
Round 2: Preliminaries
So far there will be no set date for the end of the prelims. If this gets up and running I will set one.
Rules
1) There are three preliminary rounds. You must defeat two opponents to advance.
2) Two losses or forfeits means disqualification, and you'll be stripped of your Oracle Pager.
3) For a match to be valid, both combatants must have their Over Souls engaged.
When a Shaman is unable to sustain his or her Over Soul due to injury, Furyoku depletion, or damage to their channeling medium, he or she will be rules unable to fight and will lose the match.
For each of the three fights you win, you can learn one new move. PM me with the details of it and I'll OK it.
Arrange matches with other RPers' characters, or fight NPCs.
If you win your first two matches, you don't fight a third.

About Furyoku:
As we proceed through the Shaman Tournament everyone will become stronger. During the 3rd round of the Shaman Fights I will give an O.K. to everyone so they can use Giant Spirit Form. If there is any other Spirit Forms you wish to create or add send me a PM. I will read through it and from there I will Ok it or ask you to change it with what ever advice I see fit.

Appearance: Short only about five foot six inches. Wears a plain black t-shirt and ripped blue jeans. Has deep blue eyes and sandy brown hair.
Personality: Shy in front of people but loves to talk to spirits. He keeps a walkman with him because he can't sleep without music. He is a big movie freak and can name off almost any that he has seen.
History: Normal compared to some people. His whole family is shamans so he was raised with spirits near him at all times. He left to compete in the shaman fights for his family honor. He personally doesn't want to become the Shaman King but he wants to support someone that he finds worthy of the title.
Medium: Currently a wakizashi and a knife.

Bio: A long dead samurai whose katana was stolen from his grave. On a shortcut one day Koraka met Yojimbo and learned of the theft. Yojimbo decided to come with Koraka so that if he should find the thief he may pay him back.

OverSoul #1 (Yojimbo) Koraka's wakizashi lights up with a furyoku produced flame. The fire reachs up to his shoulder, but can't do anything real special.
OverSoul #2 (?) Koraka's knife becomes wooden and dull. It does not gain any special abilities yet.
OverSoul #3 (Yojimbo & ?) Koraka holds the knife in one hand and the wakizashi in the other. He lights the knife with his furyoku, which makes another wakizashi out of pure furyoku.

Techniques

Fire Slash: While in either oversoul #1 or #3 a hard swing of either wakizashi will unleash a blade of heat. Can't burn through oversouls, unless his furyoku is greater then theirs.
Flash Step: Only in oversoul #3 Koraka moves at a great speed, moving short distances in a blink of any eye. The more furyoku used the faster he can go.
Double Medium: The ability to use more then one spirit with the same medium.
e.g. making a spirit more powerful but using more furyoku at the same time.
