Three cities, two gangs, one war. The Dragon Clan and Phoenix Triad are poised to have their final showdown, in the city of Tewen which saw through the first Triad War and a few destructive preluding skirmishes. To make things even messier, this time round, several external forces have decided to stick a foot in to aid either side or to disrupt them both. The stage has been set, the weapons polished, and the time is now.

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the fourth (and hopefully final) chapter of Dragon vs Phoenix!

Dragon vs. Phoenix I

In the first chapter of Dragon vs. Phoenix, two gangs who were rivaling one another in the city of Tewen until one day a Dragon member was killed on Phoenix territory. That is when an all-out war between the two broke out, a war that nearly devastated the entire city. But thanks to a small group of people, the fighting was ceased with force, causing the destruction of the Dragon base and a some damage to the Phoenix's, too. Afterwards, a two year peace reigned. Dragon vs. Phoenix II

In the next chapter, which begins two years later, the two gangs are about to start yet another battle against one another, now that they have greatly increased their power, each possessing a base in its own city: Dragon being in Matissi and Phoenix in Vincellio with Tewen being right between both of them, making it once again the gangs' battleground. However, a law enforcement agency called LAW has been created to intercept both gang's attacks and prevent them from destroying a newly built Tewen. Unexpectedly, a few attacks already begun onto the city one night, including the destruction of the Phoenix base that still stood in Tewen, thanks to the demolition of LAW's secret partner, Hades. However, an unfortunate event occurred with the assassination of the LAW chief in the city as well as the destruction of LAW HQ. ([link] to the IC topic)

Dragon vs Phoenix III

In the last chapter, which was a direct continuation of DvsP II, teams consisting of LAW officers, members of Hades, mercenaries and other individuals were formed to infiltrate into Matissi and Vincellio respectively. Things did not go completely smooth for all the teams, though they succeeded in getting deep into the cities without much trouble. The anti-Phoenix team mainly formed by Hades members managed to blow out the power supply of the four Phoenix towers in Vincellio despite the dangerous situation for those stuck with the Phoenix, although they remained unaware of the Yakuza’s wish to help the Phoenix out of their predicament. As for the primary anti-Dragon team, they did not get far as the Hades members with them betrayed the team and struck a deal with the Dragons to destroy Phoenix together. ([link] to the IC topic)

Now, the frontlines have moved back to Tewen again as the Dragons have decided to attack Phoenix while they are in chaos. With the various teams and LAW around, the battle was promising to be one great mayhem.


Factions Available
(slightly edited, with some info added)

Dragon Clan - One of the organizations primarily involved in this war. Their base lies in Matissi City. All dragon members are known to wear their dragon insignias somewhere on their body and/or clothing. Vex Core will be the one approving all Dragon characters.

Pheonix Triad - The other organization primarily involved in this war. Phoenix lies in the city of Vincellio. All Phoenix members have a picture of a Phoenix somewhere on their body and/or clothing. Currently led by Dolos, an ex-Hades member. I will be the one approving all Phoenix characters.

LAW - An advanced police force stationed in the country, with one being in the very city of Tewen. LAW are recognized by their black swat-like clothing with the word "LAW" somewhere on it. Their job is to stop both gangs from destroying the city. Vex Core will be the one approving all LAW characters.

Hades - A secret organization deeply involved in both this war and the previous, going with their own agenda. Not much is known about them, except for the fact that Phoenix had became their sub-clan once, but broke free against Hades’s wishes. Although they were allied with LAW previously, they have switched sides to Dragons. Not accepting profiles for this faction.

Yakuza - The ‘new’ faction for the roleplay. A Japanese syndicate secretly interested in establishing a tie with the Phoenix Triad. While generally considered an open organization, small under-ground circuits have been established in hopes of countering Hades' dealings. reanimation will be the one approving all Yakuza characters.


Non-Human Species available
(if you checked, yes, it is a little different from the DvsP II and III descriptions, so read again)

Psychics - Through use of their mind, they are capable of doing things out of the ordinary, including but not limited to reading people's minds, moving objects, or even using elemental energies. Usually, a psychic specializes in one ability, two abilities if neither is extremely strong and one of it is pretty weak. A large number of psychics are loyal to or are protected by several underground organizations, but there are still a lot of others out there without allegiance to anyone.

Shapeshifters - These are people who have the ability to shapeshift into a certain animal or an unknown being. There are two types of these: true-blood shapeshifters and created shapeshifters. The real shifters are more harnessed with their ability, thus are more powerful than an artificial one. Yet, an artificial shapeshifter possesses some psychic abilities, making them more broad in their capabilities, as well as has more control over their animal instincts. Real shapeshifters are very rare, and most of them placed themselves into seclusion, but some are said to work as mercenaries for Dragon or Phoenix.

Vampires - A nightwalker that is an enhanced version of a human. Just like shapeshifters, there are real vampires and artificial ones. Real vampires are more powerful than their artificial counterparts, yet are severely weakened to sunlight or any ultraviolet light source. And unlike an artificial, they are weak to silver, just like the legends say. Artificial vampires, however, does not share that weakness. The only thing that both races have in common is that they need to feed on blood or they will become just as weak as a human. Real vampires also keep themselves unknown, yet some have deployed their skills to organizations who are willing to pay for their services, though it is highly uncommon.

Mages/Witches - A person given the power to wield the magical energies, such as cure a person or harm them. Mages are similar to Psychics, only mages do not have to strain their mind that much in order to use devastating abilities, but must be in high concentration or their powers will get out of hand. That is why many mages tend to be surprisingly calm and emotionless. If their emotions get out of hand, their powers do, too. Mages don’t tend to reveal that they are different from humans, if they wish to fit in, so there aren’t many of them around.


What about this Chapter?

First thing first. The roleplay is a freeform roleplay. Meaning it is not plot-centric or strictly managed by the managers. The setting is neo-modern, so the technology is what we have, maybe slightly more advanced in little unknown *coughweaponrycough* areas, and there are other non-human species. While you can do almost anything if you wish, please keep it reasonable and within the logical realm. And don’t god-mod (if you don’t know what this is, read the FAQ in RP Incubation, now).

Basically, this chapter is a lot like the first chapter, where the characters can simply pick one side to support (Dragon or Phoenix), and try to destroy the other side. Or stay neutral and fight both sides. Or try not to fight both sides. It is as simple (or complicated) as you want it to be. The chapter ends with the destruction of either the Dragon or Phoenix (or if it happens, both). Other than that, feel free to poke it anyhow.

Which means fighting posts. A lot a lot of them. I quote from the first chapter: “Ask around in the OOC if anyone is interested in fighting your char, create a meeting in the IC and get on with the fight. Oh, team battles are fine. Many versus one is also good, as long as it has a good enough reason. Killing is allowed, but permission of the owner of the character is required.”

Although I’m all for a pure one hundred percent fighting roleplay, but alas, the roleplay does have a plot, even if it is not a strongly emphasized one for this chapter of the roleplay. Me and the others who have participated so far will poke the roleplay to go further, but if you wish to contribute, don’t hesitate to approach me, Vex or reanimation to discuss the possibilities. Or you can surprise us, but please try to make it as logical as possible.

If you’re going to use another person’s characters, make sure you keep them to their personality. To quote Vex, it helps to read the profiles and how the owners of the characters use those characters. And if you don’t want anyone to use your character, say so early.


Existing Characters

Characters from DvsP II and DvsP III that are no longer active can be picked back up by their owners for this chapter, but if they are still ‘owner-less’ by the time the IC starts, they may become NPC, depending on whether they happen to be in a useful sort of situation. Posting the character profile is required, so that at least you know who you are playing.

Obviously, existing active characters can be brought over from DvsP III. Although it is not compulsory, it is recommended to post the profiles on the OOC for others’ convenience. Unless if there are significant changes to the characters, then please just post the editted profile.

It is compulsory for all new characters to have profiles, even for existing roleplayers.

Me, Vex Core or reanimation will be approving the profiles, depending on which faction is chosen and how busy we are (meaning we may approve other faction characters if the other person is busy).

I was always really interested in this 'series'. I believe I even joined the second one, though for a short time. It was fun, I just inadvertently made one of my disappearing acts. In any case, I was thinking of 'ressurecting' the character I used. Probably change him up a bit to give him a history amidst the RP that never really happened, hehe.

I am a bit unsure about totally going through though, since I am hesitant on RP Battles. Not once have I had a good experience with fighting someone else's RP character. I usually tend to take the side of precaution, but its always ended up being the other person getting mad at me about doing something or whatever. Needless to say, the only thing holding me back is that. Sadly, much of your RP is the very thing I fear, but it looks good and I would be interested in joining.

I suppose I should ask how people here tend to do these RP battles. I know everyone has their own different way of doing it. Just wondering if there is a certain amount of autoing with it and if...well if people tend to get pissed if you punch their character when they didn't want to be punched. If there is no autoing, than everyone could just avoid every move, which wouldn't be fun, but I've seen that happen too. Perhaps I've just been involved with relatively inexperienced roleplayers for too long. I'm on the edge, I'm just uneasy with it in the first place, I'd rather not get my head bitten off.

For me personally, writing up just a single profile for a role-play is even harder than writing posts...But, I think I might put the strain on my brain again soon to type up a hopefully decent profile for this role-play. I might not get it up immediately, but I just thought I’d give a notice so that you know to probably expect something from me in the not-so-distant future.

I've got some time before I go to bed, so here are my characters. They were present in Dragon vs Phoenix III (and II, I think) so I just need to copy and paste them here. ^^; (And I still take so long to do it, lol) Oh, none of them are NPC characters, so don't use them please. ^^; I'm alright with others controlling my characters a little in their IC post though. I probably should post a profile of Dolos or something, but I'm think about it first.

Name: Deimos (real name forgotten)
[story behind the name: Greek personification of terror & dread, son of Ares]

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Faction: Hades

Appearance: Waist-length long straight dark blue hair with silver streaks, which he ties at the back of his neck to keep them constrained, and cold ice-blue eyes turn dark silver-blue when he is using his ability. Is always found in black, and still prefer his black leather trenchcoat, black shirt and leather pants. He exudes an air of unconcealed threat, and a certain psychotic wildness lingers in his American Japanese features.

Skills/Abilities: Mind Control, from basic telepathy to screwing with people’s mind and altering memory, with very limited dream-surfing ability. His eyes turn dark silver-blue when he is using the ability. And he will have major headaches every time after he uses anything that requires a great amount of concentration and power. Thus he seldom uses the stronger aspects of his abilities until situation requires him to.

Weapons: A foldable black titanium long-handled scythe with poison-coated blade. A nice collection of different sized and bladed daggers of similar material and also coated in poison. Type of poison varies with his mood.

Life History: A bastard child of a tycoon who attempted to kill him and his mother to avoid the scandal being known. He escaped the attempt on his life and lived on the streets, participating in stuff such as gangs, drugs and other things to survive. His ability woke when someone tried to rob and rape him, and he left the person with the mind of a six year old. Started using his ability to make his life better and caught the eye of an ex-assassin who trained him very well. He later became a high-ranking member of a underground assassin organization.

Personality: Arrogant and cruel, he has no qualms about killing, or torturing. He does whatever pleases him and will not hesitate to eliminate his allies to stay alive. Has a very twisted sense of humor and small periods of craziness. He can get along with people quite well when he wants to, but he seldom does, and loves playing with people’s mind and emotions. People avoid him because of the feeling of danger he gives off.

Other details: He has a drug habit and for some strange reason, possibly because of his ability, he couldn’t get addicted. Still he likes having drugs. He also smokes and drinks, and still manages to keep his perfectly white teeth and clean but wild appearance. Only thing he can’t stand is rape because that is how his mother got pregnant. Is pretty intelligent and he taught himself a lot of subjects, including a good number of languages. He was previously a high ranked Phoenix member, joined on orders of his superior. He betrayed and left the triad during the First Triad War. Now he is back as part of the operation led by Phobos.

Name: Phobos (real name not known)
[story behind the name: Greek personification of fear, son of Ares]

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Faction: Hades

Appearance: His once waist-length black hair is now shoulder-length but still with silver highlights at the tips, and unless he is wearing colored contacts, his eyes are very dark violet in color and has this oriental feeling to it. He has distinct Eurasian features and strong British accent, and looks very much like a gentleman, especially since he always has a polite smile on his face. Usually found dressed in white and semi-formal clothing, with a white doctor coat on the outside.

Skills/Abilities: He is a rare type of general psychic, having almost all the psychic abilities although he cannot activate most of them. His primary ability is telekinesis which is of slightly above average level, followed by telepathy which only allow him to hear particularly loud thoughts and even then they sound like it is underwater and from very far away, unless when he leeches off Deimos’s telepathy with their bond, empathy that only gives him a very slight impression of what the person he touches is feeling, and precognition which is very weak and fuzzy and totally not helpful. He can activate teleportation as well, but it moves him like only a foot away at the very most during emergency and he will be completely drained and exhausted. And quickening of his own healing if his energy is enough.

Equipment: Two foldable titanium scythes with handles of an arm’s length, connected by a single chain of the same material. Two silver custom-made semi-automatic handguns, and a dozen or so of titanium scalpels and normal syringes coated or loaded with various poison or venoms created by Deimos.

Life History: Phobos was the eldest son of an influential underworld tycoon and since young, he has been trained in all sorts of legal and illegal activities so as to inherit his father’s empire one day. When he was sixteen, his father was assassinated and he took over the ‘family business’ before any ambitious underlings attempted to so as to keep his mother and younger brother out of danger. It was approximately then when he discovered that he could lift things in mid-air, and quite accidentally, discovered that he could quicken the recovery of light injuries. He kept them a secret but when he had an encounter with a high-ranking member of the organization that sent the assassin who killed his father, Phobos tried to subtly use those abilities to his advantage but was discovered. The high-ranked member then offered him a deal, where Phobos’s family will be under the protection of the organization if Phobos is willing to work for him and train those abilities. Since he was not that enthusiastic about being an underworld tycoon, Phobos agreed and became part of Hades, as Eres’s right hand man.

Personality: Practical and efficient, he is willing to do whatever is necessary to complete his jobs or missions, no matter the price or sacrifice as long as it does not negatively affect the people he cares about deeply. He is also very dedicated, giving his all to whatever he puts his mind on, including people. Ruthless and even scrupulous or cruel if required to be, Phobos can also be very caring and gentle but only to people he cares about. In a way, he is a very self-centered sort of person.

Other details: Went missing from Hades for quite a while due to something his partner Deimos did and infuriated him, but returned during the end of the first gang-war between Dragon and Phoenix. He is currently taking a part-time medical degree to become a doctor, while diligently training his own abilities and the newer Hades members. There are rumors saying that he and Deimos are a couple but nobody knows for certain since they have no guts to ask either of the Eres’s subordinate. Now he is the person in command of the operation to clear up the mess with Phoenix and Dragon, once and for all.

Name: Enyalios, or Enya for short (real name not known)
[story behind the name: son of Ares (Eres), a minor god of war]

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Faction: Hades

Appearance: Firey orange and red hair trailing half-way down his back and streaked with emerald green, liquid golden eyes sparkles like diamonds when he uses his ability, Enya looks like an asian teenage model that walked out from a magazine cover. His lean body is usually clad in fitting black leather pants and a simple long black collared cotton shirt which he left the top few buttons uncovered. He is never found without a small black backpack and the black gloves tucked in his pants.

Skills/Abilities: Enya is a dual-psychic, which is unusual but not as rare as general psychics. His abilities are electrokinesis and cyrokinesis, which means he manipulates electricity, and the lower range of the temperature and ice. Enya is stronger with controlling electricity, being able to tap into energy sources nearby and direct electricity at will, although he cannot generate electricity on his own. He is not as good with cyrokinesis, being incapable of manipulating temperature from a distance, but he can still give another person a serious case of frostbite with his touch.

Equipment: Enya’s primary weapon is a pair of palm-sized chakrams made with an alloy of dark titanium and silver with a design that resembles the Tai-ji Yin-Yang symbol and contains wicked razor edges, attached to the end of a long titanium-silver alloyed cord with a length of ten feet and is as thick as the fattest piano cord. He has two other similar cords but thicker cords in his bag, as well as another pair of similar chakrams with the diameter of a basketball. Hidden in his watch is yet another of the alloyed cords, but this one is more like a thread or string, considering its thinness.

Life History: Born and raised in Japan by his wealthy and loving parents, Enya had a fairly normal childhood. It was until he was ten, he was kidnapped and because of that ordeal, awoke his abilities and he killed all of the four kidnappers around him. The police found him and he was returned safely back to his parents, and the death of the kidnappers were written off as a miracle or ‘just desserts’. Enya could not deal with the shock of having killed somebody and ran away from home shortly, only to meet Eris Enyo who discovered his unusual psychic aura and took him back to Hades. Strings were pulled and he became Deimos and Phobos’ student and temporary subordinate, and was announced dead officially.

Personality: Free-spirited and easy-going, Enya is usually easily approachable with a friendly smile of his face, and loves to mix around so much that some members feel that he is a bit of a busybody even though his emotions can get a somewhat mercurial. However, when it comes to important things or when he is serious, he loses the smile and becomes cold and emotionless, like the ice that he controls, and concentrate only on winning and completing his objectives.

Other details: Enya was a genius to start with and was about to skip high school altogether to promote to college before he was kidnapped, and as a result, he receives advanced education from various members of Hades, especially those who had been or were still in the teaching profession. He often returns to Japan to watch over his parents (who got over grieving and got a baby girl whom they very nearly spoiled) during his free times. He disobeyed orders to become mixed in this gang-war to find and deal with the Hades traitor Dolos, whom he was acquainted with, who had helped Phoenix Triad to leave Hades. After being a captive of Dolos as part of the plan, he has escaped and was hiding from the Phoenix as he waited for help to come.

Sub Characters (aka those I won't use as much, but will be around)


Name: Geras

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Faction: Hades

Ability: Geras controls time, able to stop, slow and quicken it to his will. But only for limited amount of time as it is very taxing on his body. And whenever he uses his ability, his own time slows so much that it is almost stopped, and depending on how much was done, his time will slow until it is safe for his body to use again If he continually uses his ability without waiting for his time to go back to normal, he puts himself in great danger.

Appearance: Short golden hair and sky blue eyes, Geras has a cherubic appearance and the body of a fourteen years old teenager. He usually has a bright smile and preference of light colored clothing that accentuate the clean aura he carries, but on a job, he wears a long black shirt and a gray jeans and an underlying of danger. His eyes change to purple when he uses his ability.

Weapons: A sharpshooter, his choice weapons are guns, and he has three customized semi-auto on him at all times, and carries a few rounds of ammunition in his bag, and when out on mission, he brings more guns with him, depending on the nature of the missions.

Other details: Geras is several years older than he looks, a side effect of his ability. He is also very easily obsessed with certain things for a long period of time, and one of which is cleanliness. He became part of the operation on Phobos’s request.

Name: Momos

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Faction: Hades

Ability: He is a phaser, who can move through inorganic things by changing certain qualities of his body. (Like Shadowcat of X-Men) The denser the matter, the more effort it requires for him to get through it, but except for dangerous radioactive matter, he is almost able to phase through anything though he never really tried it. But he can only do it for not more than two dozen times a day because it destabilizes his body.

Appearance: He has short spiky silver hair mixed with pure white ones and light orange eyes that turns gold, and is often dressed in sleeveless leather vest and pants of pure white with a totally black trenchcoat. He has an easy smile but his eyes are always sharp like that of a predator, like the aura he has around him. He has sharp facial features of no particular descent, and a lean compact body.

Weapons: He uses a long detachable staff and two wicked parang knives, which are customized to be attached at either end of the rod.

Other details: Momos has a wicked tongue that he is fairly generous in using, and often is able to goad his opponents into taking physical action first. Like Nemesis, he joined the operation on Phobos’s request.

Name: Moros (real name not known)
[story behind the name: Greek personification of doom]

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Faction: Hades

Appearance: Tall and fit-looking Eurasian male with thigh-length dark gray hair and silvery-purple eyes. His appearance is immaculate at all times, and is always found dressed in an entirely black suit with an indifferent, sometimes cold, expression fixed on his face most of the time. His eyes turn silvery whenever he uses his ability.

Skills/Abilities: Teleportation, longest range is half a kilometer and can be re-activated within a time span of two seconds for five times before the effort becomes too much on him. If he teleports over a limit of a few dozen times a day (depends on the rate and distance of teleportation), he will start having trouble focusing on things.

Weapons: Thin sharp strings, some with poisoned needles at the ends, and in the most extreme case, he uses all thirty of his strings at the same time. The choice of venom depends on his purpose at the moment, and there is a small variety for him to choose from.

Life History: Moros was brought up as assassins by a powerful organization that also did human trafficking and bio-weapon experiments. When Hades infiltrated the organization for information, a high-ranking member by the name of Nyx brought him and several of the other children back with her. They later became the members of the Special Operation Forces that Nyx is in charged of, and the organization was eventually absorbed by Hades.

Personality: Emotionless was the one word almost everyone would use to describe Moros, except for the people closest to him. Others do not know if he just did not have emotions or he just have phenomenal control over them, and he has no wish to entertain them. But even with the people he is closed to, he only shows very mild displays of emotions. Only a selective few have seen anything stronger, and they have all made it clear that it was not a good thing.

Other details: Not exactly a known fact, but he has split personality which could be triggered by certain things, and is downright psychotic and hysterical when in his other personality. When Dolos betrayed Hades, he found out and went after him. Somehow, he became persuaded into leaving as well and becoming Dolos’s personal bodyguard. But in actual fact, he was corresponding with Hades in secret.

Name: Nemesis

Age: 24

Gender: Female

Faction: Hades

Ability: A mirror psychic who is able to absorb or mirror fellow psychic’s ability to some extent and use against her opponent. The strength (or level) of the ability depends on her, not on the psychic she took it from. She can mirror up to a dozen person a day, before it starts getting unstable for her, so she is cautious with it.

Appearance: A female who has dark copper red hair and dark aquamarine eyes, and facial features with obvious but nice mix of Italian and French descent. Usually clad in tight leather clothing with a distinct female business suit cut, she generally has a cold smile on her face in most situation and her eyes become dark red when using her ability.

Weapons: Her weapons are a pair of slender titanium claws curving out from between her four fingers on each hand, and half a dozen of custom-made bombs (the size and shape of a table tennis ball) hanging from her belt.

Other details: She is a very vengeful person, and what a person does to her, she will always do something to the person of equal or more level of severity. It applies even for good deeds, which she will definitely pay back. Phobos requested her services and so she is there to help bring her traitorous ex-comrade back.
Exire
I may create another character if something comes to mind. But I'll see how things go for me with just one. I used this one in the second installment of this RP, but I wasn't around enough so calling Scourge an existing character isn't quite right...but he is nonetheless. Either way, I figured there wasn't really anything to say for his 'current situation' so I left that out of the profile. Let me know if I messed any parts up with a timeline, certain organizations or whatever.

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Faction: LAW

Appearance: He has long, straight crimson red hair which go down just below his shoulders with dark, red-brown agate colored eyes. He prefers to wear black, which is the defined color with LAW officers. He wears a black trenchcoat with a close fitting leather long sleeved shirt with matching pants of the same make. Scourge wears black boots as well as fingerless gloves of the same color. As is custom for LAW officers, the LAW patch is on the right shoulder of his coat.

Skills/Abilities: Scourge has no special abilities, such as any psychic powers or capable of using elements. However, he has quite good aim with a gun and can use just about any kind of gun very well. He also is extremely dangerous in CQC (Close Quarters Combat) and can use a bladed weapon decently if need be.

Equipment: He keeps a decent assortment of weapons on him. He has two pistols strapped on the side of both of his upper thighs with velcro. He keeps his favorite gun, a similar pistol except with a bit more of a powerful shot kept in a holster on the right side of his belt. His trenchcoat is used for a fair bit of storage than anything else. He keeps two small, semi automatic pistols under his coat. In the pockets under his coat is where he keeps cartridges of ammunition so it is simple and fast for him to reload. He has bullets for the magnum at his side in his right outside pocket. He has one silencer kept in the opposite pocket. Scourge also keeps a rifle with a scope and a shotgun in his car. He does have one secret weapon he does not use too often, which are steel retractable claws under the knuckles of his gloves.

Personality: A calm and reasonable person, he tends to have a quick read through of a situation in his mind before he acts. There are times when he will pick his battles. He doesn't like to talk about himself and so few know anything about his past which can make him seem like a bit of an enigma. He is kind to those he trusts and is very easy to engage into a conversation. However, while on the job he is quite serious and will do what he feels he needs to, to get the job done, circumstances permitting.

Biography: As a child he lived as simple of a life as any other young boy. However, the city of Tewen has never been completely safe, despite what LAW can do. Crime had always been a problem during Scourge's childhood and certain gangs were beginning to take more powerful forms, almost into full on crime syndicates. Of course because of this, gang wars have been inevitable. Albeit, they were smaller then from what Tewen has experienced recently. It was from these gangs that Scourge's parents were gunned down as bystander's. This of course, forced Scourge onto the street, forced to fend for himself. After a certain amount of time, he grew tired of being taken advantage of for being so young and smaller at that time. Getting money from pickpocketing and stealing, he had enough to leave Tewen after he had heard of someone who knew quite a bit on how to fight.

Upon finding this person, he had told his life story, surprised while explaining it, that this infamous person he heard about was a woman. She had reluctantly agreed, training him in Close Quarters Combat. The woman was also familiar with a sword and trained Scourge a bit in how to use a bladed weapon. She was surprised how much of a fast learner he was, telling him that he could make to be her successor someday. They were words he would not forget, returning to the city he knew and his only home, back on the streets. With the new skills he had, he attracted a certain organization who asked for him to join. Scourge agreed almost immediately, as any place was better than the street. And so, while he had no special abilities, his combat skills caught the attention of Hades. With further training to master his CQC training and skills in using guns, he was placed in the assassination section of Hades.

It did not take long for him to be in there before he was considered a combat specialist. Scourge was teamed up with another specialist, this one in long ranged weapons. He was a bit more advanced in the program than Scourge was, but the two became good friends, the first friend Scourge really ever had. However, as time went on, certain things started to go downhill, mainly with his good friend who seemed to develop psychological issues, probably because of the stress of the job for so long. After some time, the way of the job and having to take care of his friend as well on top of everything else was very taxing to Scourge. Seeing as 'breaks' did not really happen in Hades, he decided to leave the organization. He felt it was best to do so on good terms than if something went wrong.

When Scourge had resigned as a member of Hades, his friend did not quite take it well, feeling that his own friend had betrayed him. Scourge was hurt by what he had seen, but supposedly before he officially left, he heard that it was not the worst of it. Finally leaving of his own accord, he took a break from everything for awhile before joining LAW. Just like in Hades, he showed impressive results, having him move up and out from usual SWAT styled LAW clothing, becoming a solo detective instead. Having done what he could for the past gang war of two years ago, he beat himself up, feeling he could have done more. Scourge now has taken a more aggressive stance, feeling that both Dragon and Phoenix must fall for the city to become even remotely safe.

(Hairstyle resembles that of Bear Walken’s from GunGrave.) Wears urban camouflage and sometimes body armour out of habit. He is of Chinese descent, but was born in the former Soviet Union. (Officially, he is a Russian citizen.)

Skills/Abilities: Is very physically fit, very accurate with his weapons and has a strange preference for bolt-action sniper rifles. As a sniper, he rarely misses a shot, and can very stealthily make his getaway after he makes his kill. He is very observant due to his training and experience as a sniper - he has very good eyesight, hearing and sense of smell. Is trained to use all sorts of firearms, and is trained in Systema and the ever-so-popular Taekwondo. Known throughout the Russian mafia and mercenary groups as ‘Nikita’, because of a past event during his time in the Russian armed forces.

Equipment: Carries a Beretta 92FS with suppressor in a pocket sewn into his uniform. He carries a combat knife with the scabbard sewn into the same pocket. Often uses a black-market G36C, F2000 or AK-101. Possesses a L96A1 sniper rifle and a scoped Mauser Kar98k. In the right hands, both are lethal even at a distance of more than one mile. Has all manner of optical and electronic equipment stashed in a basement converted into a bunker. Carries a camera phone that’s always on silent mode. Carries one of his three assault rifles everywhere. Brings a sniper rifle along if the mission dictates that it is necessary.

Personality: Being a sniper, is naturally able to keep himself calm throughout most circumstances. He thinks fast, and is an excellent tactician and strategist. He always tries to take into account all possibilities before formulating plans and backup plans. One might call him a jack of all trades. He is a wonderful marksman, and is very capable of surviving under the most terrible circumstances due to his immense willpower. His leadership qualities are a thing not to be put to waste. Is usually careful with his use of words and actions. He carries 40 rounds of ammunition for his sniper rifle (different rounds for different rifles) in a pouch which hangs from his belt, and carries no less than six extra magazines for his assault rifle.

Biography: Joined the Russian armed forces voluntarily to earn his keep. In one of the local conflicts in Eastern Europe, the platoon he was assigned to garrisoned a building, but was wiped out because he failed to kill the ones who had spotted them for an artillery fire mission, which was his duty as a sniper. After the artillery struck, he and a few others survived but held positions according to orders. An AK-74 he picked up jammed midway through the fighting, and he tossed it aside, taking out his entrenching tool from his pack, charging outside and wildly bashing his enemies with it. The fact that he was the only one who survived – under such circumstances – earned him the nickname of ‘Nikita’.

Other: Speaks fluent Russian and English. He speaks limited Mandarin. Has no trouble with killing people if the situation dictates that it is necessary. His policy is one ‘shot – one kill’ as far sniping is concerned. Dislikes talking about how he earned his nickname. He has been surviving thus far on job offers with his team of mercenaries, all previously from Special Forces from different countries. Currently, they reside outside of Tewen, awaiting a job offer that pays well.

Appearance: Often wears a tuxedo and carries sunglasses. His thick blonde hair is often combed in a side parting from left to right. Wears a shoulder strap underneath his jacket so that he can conceal his handgun under his left armpit. Has scars across his face, arms, chest, back and legs from many operations while he was still in the GSG9 – a counterterrorist unit, and then the KSK, the German special forces.

Skills/Abilities: He is more politically inclined, and is skilful in blackmail and entrapment to get what he wants out of someone. He speaks coolly and tactfully, using it to his advantage during negotiations. Has been trained not to break when under psychological and/or physical torture. The perfect Mafioso, one might say. He is good with most firearms, but absolutely hates the idea of using a revolver. Is a talented musician, and regularly plays classical, flamenco and waltzes on guitar and piano.

Equipment: Beretta 92FS, GLOCK 18 or Walther P99. Assault rifles such as the G36, F2000 and submachine guns like the FN P-90 are his preferred automatic weapons. Normally carries only a handgun and four spare magazines.

Personality: Cocky and humorous, but is serious when he needs to be. Takes pleasure in watching others suffer or die, and enjoys manipulating situations because it gives him a feeling of power. Your typical sadist. Smokes on a regular basis.

Biography: Wilhelm lived in the German Democratic Republic – Eastern Germany – until both sides were united just before the Soviet Union dissolved. He served his nation in the GSG9 and then under the KSK until he was discharged due to politics in the administration.

Other: Speaks fluent German and English. Prefers not to talk about past operations and why he is not still with the KSK.

Appearance: Has straight, shoulder-length blonde hair with a side parting. Wears a pair of dull-coloured spectacles to avoid reflecting light and attracting attention. Like Nikita, she wears urban camouflage on a regular basis, but wears black business suits during negotiations and casual clothing for civilian purposes such as shopping.

Skills/Abilities: She is quite versatile, and excels at gathering intelligence. She has her own intelligence network, with moles regularly gathering information from various countries and organisations. Adept at socialising, and is as good with a gun as she is with her vocal skill. Is physically fit and highly intelligent.

Equipment: Heckler and Koch MP-5 and FN P90 submachine gun. Carries a combat knife in her one of her shoes or boots. Her preferred sidearm is the GLOCK 18. Often seen carrying a solid combat-capable laptop with a bullet-proof body, standard issue for Special Forces operatives. Always carries spare ammunition.

Personality: She is a cheerful, sociable Pole, and tends to be quite optimistic. She is able to make friends easily, but does not always immediately trust others. May be considered somewhat paranoid with regard to information gathering; she normally corroborates the information with another source before accepting it.

Biography: Despite the fact that she lived without a father, she survived with her mother as the sole breadwinner, with support from her family. Due to the lack of emotional support from her father who died in the line of duty as a policeman, she sought to make more and more friends, leading to the development of an intelligence network of her own. She joined the Polish army and made it into GROM, the Polish Special Forces. She left not long after to become a mercenary after completing her training and working for a year. She met Nikita and Wilhelm while searching for work in Berlin.

Other: She speaks fluent English, German, Polish and Russian. Hates smokers, but can live with Wilhelm because he is not the villain that smokers are made out to be. Is quite submissive towards Wilhelm, whom she treats like the father she never had.

Appearance: Sports a crew cut. He keeps his blonde hair very short out of habit. Wears grey clothing and black boots for urban camouflage. His body is very well-built; years of constant training have resulted in his achieving his current level of fitness.

Skills/Abilities: Specialises in heavy weapons such as machineguns. Is a wonderful shot with the FN Minimi machinegun, but does equally well with the H&K G36 and the attached grenade launcher. He is a quick thinker, depending heavily on his quick wits to get his men out of trouble alive. Is an excellent boxer.

Equipment: Owns the FN Minimi machinegun aka M249 SAW, Heckler and Koch G36 with grenade launcher, F2000, Walther P99. Also proficient with the DAO-12 shotgun he keeps in his closet and AT-4 rocket launchers illegally obtained from the United States. Always carries extra ammunition.

Personality: While in battle, he is calm, but outside of it, he tends to respond to provocation with blunt comments. He is friendly, and treats the rest of his group well. Cannot appreciate classical music.

Biography: Born in the UK into a lower-middle-class family, he dropped out of school early to join the British armed forces, choosing not to depend on his family, which needed money to raise his younger brother and sister. He served in the British Special Air Service before leaving to become a mercenary. He met Wilhelm, Nikita and Katrine at a restaurant in Lebanon, while they were on a mission to assassinate a key political figure.

Other: Does not easily give up. Refuses to accept failure at times, and has a slight ego issue. Cannot stand it when Wilhelm starts talking about the beauty of classical music. Jumps the gun when what little patience he has is pushed to its limits, but otherwise follows Wilhelm’s instructions to the letter.



All of them are good, combat-proven fighters, trained well and disciplined. Wilhelm leads the team as he is the most experienced, but he leaves the direction of gunfights to Nikita, who is the most observant.

Appearance: Jonathan has a medium size build. He stands around five foot six and weighs roughly seventy-eight kilograms. Dirty blonde hair hangs down in front of his eyes and reaches just a few centimeters below his shoulders. His pale skin tone helps bring out the light green color of his eyes. A few small freckles spot his face, with a few other blemishes are here and there.

He wears a brown shirt that covers up the large tattoo of a phoenix that covers his back. At his waist is a tight black belt that holds some of his weapons. His jeans are tattered and torn, but he hasn’t gotten around to replacing them yet. On his feet he wears plain black sneakers.

Skills/Abilities: Jonathan is a magician, however not a very good one as he lets his emotions get the better of him most times.

Equipment: At his waist he carries a pistol and two throwing knives, one on each of his sides.

Personality: Jonathan is very open about his opinions and feelings. Being a magician is hard in this sense, as he can barely concentrate. That fact embarrasses him bad enough that he’s stopped trying to use magic and just uses physical strength in any given situation. Many of his fellow magician friends have tried to get him to try harder to use his magic, but he ignores them out of self-pity and shame. This stubbornness also gets him into trouble quite frequently as well. He never likes to leave a situation having come out on the bottom end of an argument. Usually he comes out first, or the other person is dead.

Biography: Born in the city of Vincellio, Jonathan was thrust into the fighting between Phoenix and Dragon immediately. Of course, there weren’t big open fights at the time where he had grown up, but a few of the fights that did break out cost him his family.

As a six year old boy, he lost his father when Dragons came through his neighborhood. They probably would not have killed Jonathan’s father, Erik, had he not provoked them. He was shot on the spot and the Dragons who had done it fled the scene. Jonathan, being a small child at the time, had seen it as nothing other than cold-blooded murder on the Dragons’ behalf. If he had grown up with the knowledge that it was his own father’s fault for being so discriminative against that certain group of people, he probably would not have joined the Phoenix Triad, nor would he have gotten involved in any of these going-ons.

Thus it was not so. Jonathan grew up to hate the Dragons and their kind. His mother was a witch, and a kind woman. She raised Jonathan, her only child, with love and care as all mothers do. Alicia tried to teach her son the art of magic, but he was always either overwhelmed with sorrow or too excited to cast. She managed to teach him to control his emotions well enough for him to cast. Jonathan became a trained magician, if not powerful, by age fifteen.

But his mother was killed only a year afterwards, by what Jonathan believed was his own doing. He had been practicing magic one night, when their home was broken into by a rag-tag group of Dragons. In fact, Jonathan wasn’t sure they belonged to the Dragon faction, but he felt only Dragons would do such atrocities. He tried to protect his mother using magic, but he failed miserably. Jonathan thought he knew enough to keep the two of them protected, but even though he thought he had cast magic, he didn’t.

Jonathan grew up with the belief that his magic had caused the death of his mother. In truth, she died from an untimely stroke, but Jonathan thought her collapse and the immediate retreat of the bandits was because of his backfiring magic. He knew nothing of the physical ailments his mother had suffered through. How could he have known? Alicia had done her very best not to tell her son that she was dying. Perhaps it would have been wiser for her to share, but she didn’t want him to grieve during life over her. She wanted him to remain happy.

Alas, Jonathan was not happy in the least. He hated the Dragons for murdering his father and he hated his magic for killing his mother. These emotions, among others, kept his concentration from him, and thus his magic. He never wanted to use magic again, so he trained in physical combat.

Jonathan joined the Phoenix Triad when he was twenty-two in the hopes that he could bring the death of his father to justice, and that even in her afterlife, his mother could forgive him for her death.

But he has been receiving constant reminders of the memories he has tried so hard to suppress. Despite the fact he joined Phoenix to justify his parents’ deaths, he does not like to dwell on the memory. It has been hard for him to forget those feelings of sorrow and hatred, however, because someone who was supposedly close to his parents has always written him letters, things his parents wanted for him to know should they die before they themselves could tell him. Jonathan ignores these letters as an annoyance, but it does not stop the sender from sending them.

Now Jonathan is thirty-eight, and he has met the sender of these letters. Apparently she was his mother’s cousin and had been in close contact with Alicia even till the day she died. Jonathan divides his time between ridding the false memories from his mind to find out the truth about what had really happened, and to question what real difference there is between what he does for Phoenix than what the Dragons had done.

He is still against using his magic, but as with his beliefs, he is slowly coming to a deeper understanding with it.

Most jutsu, with the exception of bakemonojutsu, fudo kanashibari nojutsu, and saiminjutsu, are purely physical. As to be expected, the difficulty of the jutsu induces/requires various mental/physical strains.

** Each type of person, whether they be telepath or hydrokinetic or anything else, gives off their own type of life energy. Only recently has Kaito been able to hone in on and differentiate between them. For Kaito to know what type of person a being is, he must have had contact with one of that specific ability. If this isn’t fulfilled, the most he is able to do is discover what a person isn’t.

Also, the more skill a person has, this may include mental or physical capability, the more controlled his or her life energy may appear. A person who is not self-disciplined, his/her chakra will resonate in every direction.

Personality: Although usually calm and cool, Kaito has recently taken to some rather sadistic and psychotic streaks, courteousy of a couple years with Deimos and Hades. These episodes can be set off by anything from just being agitated to wanting to "have alittle fun." Usually, Kaito can be considered very loyal or very stubborn, depending on how he feels about the person he is dealing with. although Kaito has become more conversational, he is not apt to revealing everything he has planned, etc. unless he considers another completely trustworthy. With only minor exceptions, the shinobi will go to great lengths to maintain a cover, if one is needed.

Biography:
(Pre-Dragon vs. Phoenix I)
The Japanese syndicate, Yakuza, originally established “Project Kaito” as a fledgling endeavour to “Project Michiko.” The operation’s objective was simple: establish the perfect interrogation team. Music affects each type of being differently, varying on personality, background, and theoretically mental/physical capacity levels. Thus, Michiko would be able to construe musical variations for each individual aura type Kaito identifies. To further this objective, Yakuza wasted little effort in supplying each Kaito model the physical and mental capabilities of a shinobi.

Needless to say, each Kaito model failed in one manner or another. Believing the success of the operation to be jeopardized, the third installment, Kaito ’03, began training with Michiko. Seeing only limited success, Yakuza quickly began the construction of Kaito ’04.

One major factor served to halt the newest model’s completion: Michiko. During the course of Kaito’s and his training, an unforeseen love began to stir within both hearts. Realizing the fulfillment of its objective rested on Michiko’s cooperation, Yakuza allowed the third model to remain operational.

While Kaito ’03 progressed rapidly in each area of training, Michiko toiled in the training of another: Dr. Jacob Rauls. With Dr. Raul’s avid support, the two man crew of Kaito and Michiko, in time, included the doctor as well—focusing on physical and psychological warfare.

Six months later, during what appeared to be a routine mission, Kaito witnessed Michiko’s death. On the verge of insanity, the shinobi approached whom he had come to call Igami(2) with a proposal.... Knowledge for the loss of knowledge.(3)

Description: Standing at 5'2" in height, the name Yuri suits her well. Dark brown eyes beautifully offset a vanilla-like complexion. Thick black hair seemlessly flows down to her upper back. Usually, Yuri wears an elegant floral kimono, which many say captures her petite frame rather nicely.

During a mission, however, Yuri is more apt to wear a kunoichi uniform, with her hair tied into a ponytail or some other fashion.

Biography:
Born, or rather created, as a Dragon, Yuri underwent rigorous training in martial arts, gymnastics, and education. Inasmuch as she didn't mind the lifestyle set before her, she couldn't help but feel trapped. No time was wasted in her escape; though, the brewing war did serve as a nice cover.

Failing to peirce an outreach's subtle facade, Yuri managed to find one of Phoenix' "charity organizations." Taking pity on the girl, a family happily took her in. This family treated her as one of their own, and for a small time, Yuri contented herself with average tasks. Unfortunately, the charity ended as a man clad in a purple suite impeded upon "her life." Graciously, he bestowed with a choice: become a whore, with her family protected, or refuse. Of course, she couldn't refuse...

For a little less three months, a cycle developed: the pimp would send her off for the night, the man would be found dead due to lack of air, and the pimp looted whatever money the man kept in his house. Needless to say, the arrangement worked very well--for some more than others.

As one pimp passed away, another took his place, Beatrix. Not even a day after the transition, a figure completely enshrouded in a black cloak was seen negotiating with the new pimp, over what remained unknown.

Not even two days later, Yuri found herself in the unknown figures care. Training ensued quickly in the fields of ninjutsu and aerokinetics, moreso on learning to control her chi than anything else. Presently, Yuri abides by noone's orders but Kaito's.

Ability: Yuri is an aerokinetic, which basically fords her the power to manipulate air molecules. Although typically, Yuri's range is within a 15' radius, full control of the ability calls for an enormous amount of focus and concentration, affording little to no room for motion. This also means that although her ability allows for such tasks as removing sound in a small area or lowering air pressure, such tasks cannot be carried out for extended durations of time without putting a substantial strain on her mind and body.

Theoretically, the duration in which she can use her ability slightly increases daily from the hours spent in meditation/day. Although, this is only theoretically.

Personality: A precocious young woman, willing to do whatever she can to protect herself and the ones she loves, Yuri tends to do as she pleases. When she gets a whim, there is nothing capable of stopping her -- short of..possibly Kaito. Generally speaking though, Yuri appears to be a pretty obedient girl with a late-back attitude.

(AN: Kaito's biography has changed drastically from the first installment, but by the end of Dragon v. Phoenix III, I believed this to be Kaito's true story. I will add what occurred between Dragon v. Phoenix I and II as soon as time/creativity permit. Oh..... expect Rauls and his crew soon as well--I hope.)

Appearance: As a physician, Igami is commonly seen wearing the uniform most fitting to his "occupation": A white, four-button jacket acts as an over-coat, carrying two visible pockets near the bottom of each side respectively. Under the coat sits both a white button-up and a black tie. Black slacks cover muscular, yet lithe legs, while dress-shoes with padded soles for extra comfort veil the feet. To finish his attire, a single stethoscope hangs loosely around his neck.

As with many, most of his strength is built in his legs, yet his fighting style calls for more power and flexibility than average, although Igami is careful to keep his entire body fit.

Abilities/Skills:
Overall, his psychic abilities are decent at best. As a telepath, Rawls has access but to two areas of the mind: memories and the physical senses. From here, he has a range of approximately two hundred feet, yet the farther the distance, the more apt he is at missing his target. This ineptitude generally results from an inability to create solid mental links. Thus the illusionist normally holds to small-scale, close-range attacks. A major focus for his abilities lies in memory infiltration, the task only requiring short increments to learn years about an individual.

When engaged in a fight, Rauls typically uses a combination of projectiles and his legs, believing that his hands should be used to 'heal'.

Personality: Overly jealous and sadistic, Igami is not one to take "no" for an answer, and with a Ph.D. in both anatomy and philosophy, he is known to be quite the persuasive type. Despite his wit, he prefers to take a back-seat approach, allowing others to take the lead on two conditions: 1.) someone has to be put in some form of pain, and 2.) his curiosity is filled. Orpheus once noted that there was always something to focus the latter, adding that once Igami wanted to learn, almost nothing stood in his way.

Despite his history in gangs, his preference is to be away from the fighting.

Equipment:
- shots (toxins, truth serums, vaccines, etc.) {locked cabinet in the hospital quarters} -- injections for various purposes

- darts (un-poisoned) {at times kept in his mouth and/or meticulously placed in an inside pocket} --
On one end sits a round, bulbous knob, allowing for retrieval without being inadvertently pricked.

- shuriken (each carrying a various type of poison) {six shuriken lay in easy reach on the insides of both sides of his coat respectively} -- To avoid poisoning himself, each shuriken carries a cap that shatters as it pierces the skin. From there, the venom enters the body from the small cavity in the shuriken, emptying as the item begins to bounce off. To better clarify, each item is hollow.

- stethoscope {hangs around his neck} -- Three years of training allow him to use the device to directly focus his ability on altering the nerve signals in a small area. Although this serves to slightly increase his mental link, the end piece must be in direct contact with his 'victim'.

- various other medical items {locked in his medicine cabinet}

Biography: Born into a family with little prestige, Jacob Rauls often suffered the indignity of poverty. On the coast, wealth often depends on the catch of the day, which often depended on wealth—the ability to purchase and maintain a vessel. Thus, during a major portion of Jacob’s up bringing, he found himself struggling between the appeal of joining a local gang and maintaining high school marks. In the end, he chose the latter and was able to produce enough scholarship funds and government grants to attend a lesser-known, yet redeemable, university.

Jacob’s goal was as follows: an occupation that aided others either physically or mentally, while still producing an annual, high salary income. His family and he would then be able to escape the entire dilemma they were currently in. Nothing else mattered. With this mind-set, Jacob Rauls graduated at the mere age of twenty-three with a Ph.D. in both anatomy and philosophy.

Two days after the graduating ceremony, Dr. Rauls was requested by a developing industry wishing to undertake a classified project designed to better the entirety of humanity. His curiosity perked; Rauls hastily accepted the endeavor.

Two weeks later, he found himself strapped to a chair and the subject of experiments the likes of which few have ever dared to dream. Dragon’s operation was but a mere test—Does human transmutation result in increased psychic ability in comparison to test tube creations? While the results proved inconclusive, the mental manipulation established an entirely different persona.

After three months of attempting to train Rauls in his arts and limit mental instability, Dragon attempted to extradite the being. Those sent to retrieve him never found him.

With a renewed sense of freedom, the new telepath returned to the coast and attempted to open a new clinic via government subsidies, advertising constituents, and a bit of ingenuity. The first couple of patients were frugal individuals, using his facility as a means of non-existent evaluation. In his belief, they wanted attention, and he willingly gave it to them. Slowly, as not to be noticed, the patient’s health deteriorated. Needing to maintain his status as a proper health beneficiary, those actually suffering from a physical condition were treated to the full extent of the doctor’s knowledge.

As a small number of patients died inconspicuously, the authorities began looking for a commonality amongst them. While leaving no actual trail, Rauls realized how convenient a suspect he would appear. Manipulating the memories and records of those closest to the patients was an easy, yet tedious activity. Beneath him. Only a large and esteemed organization would be worth his time, no matter its dealings.

Over the course of the next year, Rauls surveyed a number of entities citing themselves as “the biggest,” or “the baddest,” although none appeared to warrant their claims properly. During an expedition to Hawaii, the telepath discovered Yakuza. Yakuza was different, manipulating the masses through a number of different mediums and establishing world-wide intelligence networks, all under the guise of an entirely public syndicate.

After transferring to Tokyo, Japan, Yamaguchi-gumi’s(1) active head quarters, Rauls found himself under the guidance of his nii-san(2), Michiko. The musician actively taught the doctor all manners concerning Yakuza’s dealings, how the sub-organizations secretly commune, the organizational structure of the Yakuza, including its under-ground activities, and how to better control another’s mentality.
Michiko’s tutelage and refined musical capabilities served as constant stabilizers for the telepath’s consistently changing emotions.

The only problem was Michiko was taken. The only problem was Kaito.

Kaito, however, was going to be taken care of. Despite Michiko’s pleas to halt the fourth installment of the Kaito project, Yakuza agents progressed. With the completion of the fourth, the third would be dismantled and used for yet another project. Igami knew this. Kaito did not.

In return for a unique favor, both Michiko and Igami mentally created what was in Rauls’ mind a masterpiece: the musician’s death. The scene played so vividly in the shinobi’s mind through Michiko’s coaxing, Kaito neared complete insanity.

As Michiko planned, Kaito requested an entire memory altercation.

With Kaito gone, the good doctor found his fun finally in grasp. Rauls not only remained, but flourished within the organization. Life was absolutely perfect. At the unveiling of Kaito ’04, the musician was no where to be found.

The new model’s first mission was a supposedly simple retrievable. Neither the model nor Michiko were ever heard from again…

(1) Yamaguchi-gumi = Yakuza's largest family
(2) nii-san = Japanese for "brother." Upon entering the Yakuza, new recruits disown their family and become a part of Yakuza's "family." Thus, members may commonly refer to each other as "brother" or "sister." While in real life Yakuza is composed entirely of males aside from the Kumicho's wife, for the purposes of this roleplay, I believe exceptions may be made.

I'll probably post soon as well, though I'm not a story mover. Is this going to start out as slower paced or will it be different? I probably have one more post in me since I have a direction of what I want my character to do right now. After that, I'd have to do some extra thinking. I don't want my character to get involved with anything from either Phoenix or Dragon if there is something else planned, so I don't want to mess anything up. Just that being careful doesn't leave with too much to do. Eh, figured I'd ask/say my thing.
