Hey it's been awhile since my last visit but who cares about that, on to the topic at hand!! We all know how great Xenosaga ep. 3 is and how kickass the soundtrack is too. BUT I noticed a song in the game that was EXCLUDED from the soundtrack for some unknown super gay reason. It is the song that plays when you fight Margulis(probably spelt that wrong)for the very last time. I thought it was a superb song and it was my favorite. Okay does anyone know why that song was cut from the soundtrack? Any infomation would be great.

No idea, but you just reminded me that I haven't even heard the OST from Xenosaga 3, so I'll have to check that out first.

Why the song was cut from the OST? No idea, but I do have it on my PC to listen to at any time. =p If you want it, just lemme know.

Oh you really mean it Xerno? I would be very thankful! I've been looking that song for almost a year and came up with nothing. Just how did you get it?

I found it more by luck than anything (after Googling it for quite a while), I think it was a Japanese site that had it. I'll PM it to you, 'cause I don't think I'm allowed to put it here (though it's not on the OST, so maybe it doesn't matter? =s ).

Hm...the only question that remains is why namco excluded that song. That's not only game either. Disgaea never came out with a soundtrack I don't think, Disgaea 2 had several songs excluded from it's soundtrack as well as Star Ocean:Till the end of time. A mystery indeed...

Who knows, I got the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack (an anime to those who don't know) and it missed one song that I absolutely loved in the show but it wasn't in the soundtrack. Maybe it's just an honest mistake where they accidentally skip over a song...or something. It could be that soundtracks only come out if the games end up being very popular, or there are a lot of requests for a soundtrack. Could be that Disgaea didn't get a lot of fan mail for a soundtrack or not so great initial sales. But I have nothing to back up what I'm saying, so I could be totally wrong.

The song that plays when you fight Yuriev in Abel's Ark is missing as well, which I feel is a much, much greater loss. Why? Because you can find the song that plays during the battle with Margulis on the Episode II soundtrack. It's one of the admittedly few good songs on that OST.

Those songs aren't the only ones that are missing. There are several songs that I've noticed, but the main one that I was looking forward to hearing on the XSIII soundtrack is the song that's playing, not just when your fighting Yuriev, but the song that plays the entire time that you are in Able's Ark.

Yeah you have a point there but still....it's just better to include all th songs in a game soundtack or any soundtrack for that matter.

Most of the music that plays while you're walking around in-game, as well as tracks that aren't used much, like the one in the last fight against Margulis, usually don't get put on a game OST. It was the same with Xenosaga II's as well. The only reason I have the stuff from II is because someone had ripped all the music off the game itself.

How do you misspell Margulis? Is not an overly complicated name.

It wasn't in II's either? That's weird, because I'm told it was played in II many more times than in III.
( I played II, but I really don't pay attention to the music when speed playing a game unless it's awesome.)

Actually, it was indeed in the XSII OST. But it's a slower version, with some extra parts added. The XSIII version is much faster paced (it's used as a battle theme after all), but it's a bit shorter. With that said, I only like the XSIII version.

(And you'd be surprised how many times I've seen "Margulus", "Margules", ... or worse)

I really liked that song too but I cant find it anywhere!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone know where I can find it. Its one of my favorites.

Speaking of songs, the Testement theme that plays when you fight the Blue Testement should be extended. 2 minutes is way too short for an awesome theme.
