Sadistic Angel
Now while Jesus' name is never said outright as far as I can recall, Ormus is clearly some sort of Neo-Christian faith in the future. Least that's how I concluded it from their references on God and Lord and Messiah.... Maybe I'm wrong though? If so, this entire thread is pointless. lol

Anyway, I remember the chaos = Jesus theory going around when EP3 came out and I was thinking about it and only could recall one line of Wilhelm's.... Then I looked up the full quote and its:

Wilhelm: You probably don’t know the origin of Ormus, so I shall tell you. Ormus was born approximately 6,000 years ago. It began from the death of the man you worship as your Lord. Officially, it existed to convey the man’s existence to coming generations. But its true purpose…was to manage the “words” he passed on. The program you call Lemegeton is, in fact, those words. It’s a failsafe installed by God that can cause this universe to dissipate. Though it appears the man you call your Lord didn’t know that. Of course that was to be expected, for those were the words of Yeshua.

Now in my vague memory, I thought this idea proved chaos was Jesus. i could only remember the last part about "those were the words of Yeshua" and the beginning part about passing down the message of their Lord. But looking at the full quote, it seems to me to be saying that-

A. Jesus and chaos are separate people.
B. The superficial meaning of Ormus was to spread the words of Jesus but it's ultimate purpose was to keep safe chaos' words.

Am I reading it correctly?

Of course could it also mean that while Ormus views Jesus as their Lord, it is really chaos' teachings or words that they follow? I dunno.

Wanna hear some other thoughts on this subject.

A. Jesus and chaos are separate people.

Either my memory is really bad, or the answer is: yes, they are separate people. Because, I recall that chaos and Maria were standing in the crowd which was listening to Jesus preaching in a flashback.

Edit:

Look up the Gnostic Jesus. He was two seperate entities, though.

Ormus seemed to exist for spreading word of Jesus, but in actuality existed to protect the words of chaos, which disappate the universe. They gobbled up Earth too.
Hoodman
Man that Jesus part was trippy, I don't think I've seen in a game before that really.

I found the Jesus part to be rather awkward. I was more like "meh..." than anything, I was expecting a more subtle approach as far as religion goes.
The Evil Dead
Considering the many religious throwbacks in the XS series and Gears, I'm not all that surprised.

Thanks for ##### spoiling it for me though. HEYZEUZ I WILL SAVE U WHEN I PLAY WHICHEVER XS YOU'RE IN.

Yeah I can't stop laughing at this sentence.

Overall, this thread went downhill after my Red Foreman post was deleted though. That was kickass funny.
True Rune
They are separate as we can see from the previously provided pictures, but then why does Wilhem call chaos Yeshua..
Yeshua= Hebrew name for Jesus(Or you could say Jesus is the Greek name for Yeshua..)
But I'm sure you all knew that.
Gnosticism is so interesting.. XD

<<Messiah>>
In the era of ancient Lost Jerusalem, there existed a man who was called the "Messiah".
Surrounding him, various plots unfolded, and events even to the extent of having sway on the very existence of the universe were produced.
However, the Messiah himself was only just a human. Maria, who was the partner of the Messiah and bearer of the power of Animus, and chaos, who was his closest friend and bearer of the power of Anima; the two of them performed various miracles.
The Messiah, by himself, was not able to perform miracles. However, he supervised those who performed such miracles, and while utilizing those phenomena, he was adept at guiding the hearts of people. And such an existence is something that is difficult to replace by anyone.
