Xbox 360 console/dashboard updates have been pretty decent so far, with nice additions in extra programs and features added a few times a year. My favorite addition so far would probably be in-game messaging with MSN and the chat-pad accessory. But there's still a huge number of functions I think the console and Xbox Live itself could improve on, and there's a lot of potential for new programs and software too.
So being that a fall update is somewhere around the corner, I thought I'd ask - What new features, programs, functions, or tweaks would you all like to see? Or even new add-ons or accessories?
Me personally... I'd like to see better video support when playing files from your PC, more allowed formats, etc. And something I've been bitching about for a long time is the chat channels over XBL, in which I'd really like to see more than 2 users allowed per channel. A 4-user chat seems reasonable, and it doesn't seem beyond their capabilities since you can easily hear 4 people in a team game chat while playing Gears, Halo, etc. So I don't think it would be too hard to allow multi-user chat channels instead of only 1-on-1. I do have other #### on my wishlist but that'll do for now.
So for you guys, what would you like to see with any future updates or add-ons for the 360?

Upscaling to 1080p for DVD playback?
Servers maybe? Yeah you've made XBL look user friendly and offer us even MORE content to pay for, Microsoft ( Yay for a couple bucks for some picture theme packs! )... But how about offering your gamers a REAL service worth our money instead of just a nice GUI that leads to more ways to spend our money.

Question. Do you have to have your 360 hooked into an internet source to receive updates? Or is there a way to put it on a disk from my computer?

I wish the 360 had a disc changer. Cause now that I can turn the thing off without getting up, I get all pissed cause I gotta get up to switch the game. xD

I'm pretty sure it needs to be connected to the internet.

XBL lags horribly after the Fall Dashboard Update. The day it was released, I couldnt connect to a single CoD 4 match. My pop-out blade lagged as well. XBL would freeze for a minute every time I would try to look at my friends list, etc. Complete #####. It's better now, but even the dashboard still lags a little. Very annoying. ##### you, Microsoft.
