The Evil Dead
While I love expanded content... Sometimes I feel that Microsoft is sort of taking advantage of the idea of it. A lot of things that could have been incorporated into original titles are now just being released a couple months later for more of your money.

I'd have liked to have seen a few more additions outside of some plasmids and achievements personally. Why not make some real expanded content like additional areas? Maybe offer us a few more levels to run through with a bit of expanded storyline? I'd be willing to pay more for better DLC.

I guess they gotta make up for the loss of funds on consoles anyway. I'll be getting the DLC... Just picked up the Resistance second map pack yesterday as well.

In addition to the dash update, 360 owners will have another nice surprise waiting for them (as will their PC counterparts): a title update and new DLC for BioShock.

The title update includes some small fixes and one big one: A new widescreen FOV, the answer to some specific, antiquated prayers. The new content (just in time to refresh the memories of Game of the Year list makers) includes a plasmid pack (Machine Buster 1 & 2, Vending Expert 1 & 2, Sonic Boom 1 & 2, EVE Saver), the option to disable Vita-Chambers and a new, 100-point achievement called "Brass Balls." To get it, you'll just need to beat the game on hard without using a Vita-Chamber. No problem, right?

We know, we know, this news couldn't come at a worse time. You're busy with the only games that ever matter: The ones released in the past three weeks. But don't you want to check and make sure all the daddies are still dead? Don't you want to see if those splicers tried to build a rudimentary society Lord of the Flies-style? If you get a moment to spare, isn't it time you checked in on Rapture?

I guess this is nice, but I agree that the whole downloadable content thing may be taken advantage of. I might or might not get this depending on how I feel about the new plasmids (they don't seem that interesting) and the main thing for me, the ability to turn off vita chambers, which adds difficulty to the game, giving me another reason to play through.

On the whole DLC issue, one thing that does bother me is when developers openly admit that something was ready for the original game, for example (but by no means the only example) the new halo 3 map packs that are coming out this month. Bungie says that one of the three maps that are coming out was ready when the game first game out, I don't understand why they didn't put it in the game back then, instead of making it part of a, probably $6 dollar pack of maps where only two of the maps should be new. It's almost as if developers have no reason to make complete games anymore, as they can charge $60 for the game already then charge even more for downloadable content.
