Famitsu says this is starting into Tokyo theaters on December 22nd, starting January '08 in Osaka, and being released for DVD and Blu-ray on March 25th of '08.
So don't expect to see any subs out before it's released on DVD next year. At least not without horrible quality.

Looks more interesting then the game itself. Haseo looks as if he really went berserk this time. CG quality is superb. Thanks for the link Athrun.

Ah yes, I had seen this on Youtube. Isn't it following .hack//GU+ (the manga) more than the game?

Wow...this clip was pretty amazing....
The japanese version seems a lot more violent...and the voices go crasy too, but I like it....

Wow, yea, this looks betterand better everytime i see something for it. Like I've said before, I watched the whole roots anime, got really psyched to find out what happened next, then we never got the games >_< probably because of their poor performance first time round. So I've yet to see anything that happen, and after the stuff they revealed at the end of roots (who tri-edge really is) its gonna be pretty awesome to see Haseo fully become the terror of death.

Looks neat.
.hack//G.U. minus the gameplay, huh? Not sure how that'd turn out, because I though G.U.'s gameplay was neat.

most likely quailty of picture and sound will be the only major difference

XD "what is the difference between dvd and blu-ray". Normal -> HD. There's the biggie. Plus blu-ray dvds have that java stuff don't they, you can have interactive features coming up and stuff if you want etc. Who knows. The fact it'll look badass on a hd tv would be the main difference though.

Without HDTV, there is no difference then, huh?
I'll stick with DVD.

Nah, I honestly would probably save my money. I'm not on a hd tv yet either, so I just haven't bothered buying any blu-rays yet. I think you probably would get a little more out of it, but not your money's worth. You probably would notice the sound mroe than the picture.

I've heard that they're pulling analog so we all have to buy HD's within like 5 years or something...
But YAY!!!! Sweet CGI .Hack!!!! I'm totally in line to buy it. Loved the series... (don't have enough dough to buy GU Vol. 2 & 3 yet...) and I love the storyline. (Why else did I pony up $20 per game of the first series

)

Mmm, better video quality, though I wonder how this will affect my standard cable?
The DVD and Blu-Ray are just around the corner! At the end of the month, it will be released. Likely a day or two later a subbed version of the movie should be available. I can't wait for this movie! I watched a couple of trailers and I'm very impressed with what I viewed.

Haa, finally got around to seeing the trailer (stupid BYU IT people block Youtube, so I can't watch it on campus.)
So it's "supposed" to come out March 25ish??? Is that for Japan?? Will the US see it anytime soon, and is ANYBODY execpt rare import stores going to carry it??? (or, is there going to be a torrent??)
Also, note to self: Don't piss Haseo off...
His sword-snake is like a million times cooler than Renji's Bankai
