Yes ladies and gents finally the torture of waiting for season 2 has begun and we start off with the article from ANN. Also here's a scan with Suzaku's new look, Rollo and of course Zero.

props to Celiss Galvea for the translation of the scan..

QUOTE
Translation for the character descriptions, if anyone wants them:

Zero
Zero's new costume and mask, revealed. Who is behind the mask? The position of the horns on the new mask have changed...

Suzaku
Suzaku, who is not only Euphemia's Knight but also a Japanese facing persecution, now wears a new Knight outfit. Has something happened [to him] after Euphemia died?

Rollo
The new bishounen character. He wears... the Ashford Academy uniform. Is the Academy still around? His existence poses a question (*an alternative interpretation is "problem") to the world.

Summary of Kawaguchi's message (the bunch of text below). Nothing new, though.

- Season 2 will, like season 1, continue to include "school life and everything else".
- Although season 2 takes place after the "Zero Incident" in episode 25, it is written in a way that will allow new viewers to follow the story.
- Stage change, from Japan to the World.
- (One of?) The (many?) theme(s) of "Code Geass" -- fighting against the world -- remains unchanged.

So yeah... I hope they'll finally decide to kill off some of the characters I want dead since season 1. >:}

*possible spoilers

I wonder if they made Suzaku a duke or something? In anycase, I'll wait for the long torture to begin again. As for Rollo, my guess he'll be narrating the story now and will bear a neutral stance between Lelouch and Suzaku. If not, then I won't see how "school life" and "reality" in the world of Code Geass will be interpreted. After all Shirley has partly regained her memory about Lelouch and his secret, and Karen can't go back to her facade of a weak, sickly girl.
As for who dies in the next season, I sure hope it isn't Karen; without C.C. (who's sinking into the bottom of the ocean with Orange-kun last we saw her) Lelouch will need someone to rely on, and Karen can easily fill that role for two obvious reasons: 1. Lelouch has already used his Geass on her, so she can't be affected by it now (especially the on and off button for it has been disabled). 2. At the last episode Karen finds out Lelouch's secret, and despite the confusing manner that she reacted towards Lelouch's secret, I'm sure the creators will work around that. Well back to who dies, I sure hope it's crazyfanaticoverEuphemiainaGanymedethat'sabouttoblowupTokyo girl.

I can't wait for the second season to begin. How the first season ended, the second season can't start soon enough. You got to love those series that love to end a season with a cliffhanger ending.

Interesting trailer, Sonic. I haven't been keeping up to date with the updates regarding the second season of Code Geass. Just waiting for the second season to begin, which won't happen until April. Just another two months to go.

Here's a scan of the new season, sweet CC has a new outfit.
Death
Seeing as I did not see the first season, can anyone give me some specs on it?

How many episodes, ect.

50 episodes planned, last season was 25 episodes.

Here's Wikipedia's plot summary:

QUOTE
On August 10th, 2010, a.t.b., the Holy Empire of Britannia overpowered Japanese forces and conquered the country with their robotic weapons, the Knightmare Frames, in less than a month. Japan lost its freedom and rights and was renamed Area 11. The Japanese people, renamed as "Elevens", were forced to survive in ghettos, while Britannians lived in first-class settlements. Rebel elements persisted, however, as pockets of Japanese organizations who struggled against the Empire for the independence of Japan.
After his father, the Emperor of Britannia, did nothing to pursue the terrorists who murdered his mother and crippled his sister, the young prince named Lelouch vowed to destroy Britannia. Seven years later, living in Area 11, he encounters a mysterious girl who gives him the power of Geass. With it, he finally has the power that he needs to defeat Britannia and fulfill his two wishes: to seek revenge for his mother and to construct a world in which his beloved sister can live happily.

C.C.'s new outfit is hawt~! <333 While Rollo's look in that scan is uhhh pretty much wtfish. o_O;;

I suggest you watch this series Death. Just watch it, no need for specs and whatnot just take the plunge. =p

Indeed, it's quite refreshing to see a series a creative series like this once in awhile. Plus the story isn't as complex as say . . . Evangelion (I guess).
Well here's the fourth trailer, makes me wish I could fully understand Japanese.

Oh and it's official, Adult Swim acquisitioned(sp?) the rights to Code Geass. Should expect them to air it during the summer, or even sometime soon.
Natsuki
Official air date is... 6/April

and I hear ORANGE RANGE is providing the OP for the anime, so that would make waiting for the last couple of eps last time with a completely different OP a rather waste of money? x_x

and roughly what happened in the last season:
QUOTE (memento (Garten))
Story: Lelouch is a megalomaniac boy who's been kicked out of his rightful throne by his own crazy father. Because of this, he swears that he'll bring down the Britannia monarchy. Suzaku, on the other hand, is a stuck-up, hypocritical ass who thinks his way is the right way. He's a sell-out too because even though he's Japanese, he works for Britannia to opress his own people. Together, they have this shounen-ai vibe with each other but they pretend that they like girls anyway. As a result, there are these bevy of tramps who are vying for their affections (except for that one crazy lesbian girl). And oh, Lelouch is also the leader of this rebellion group called "The Black Knight" and he's always accompanied by this mysterious, God-knows-how-old, green-hair nymph called C.C. Thanks to this wicked witch, he has this power called Geass. No, it's not what you think. It's basically the ability to hypnotize someone to do your bidding.
C.C is hot for Lelouch too ........that is, of course, when she's not too busy stuffing her mouth with Pizza Hut. Last season ended with Suzaku's hanger-on/girlfriend, Princess Euphemia, died after she accidentally got hypnotized by Lelouch and going on Japanese killing spree. Lelouch felt sorry for her and gave her a pity kill. Suzaku eventually found out about this and became emo. Actually, most characters turned emo towards the end. You should see some of the facial expressions. It's precioussss. So the question is: will Lelouch and Suzaku start killing each other now or will they go yaoi instead?

Apart from the questioning of Yaoi xD. That's just the blogger being funny, haha. Though, you have to agree there was alot of emo-ness going on towards the end of season one and yes there is a crazy lesbian in the show.
Eva
I believe a majority of people wished that Nina died, but she didn't. I hope she's removed from the series this coming series since the center of her affection died. Or, she'll just become even more unstable. I believe the latter would be the choice of what will happen to Nina this season.

Not even a month away. I can't wait. I'll be watching the first episode, but I will likely let this series build up before watching it again after the first episode. I haven't watch an anime series weekly in a long time. Watching an anime series four to six episodes in one sitting much more enjoyable for me.
Ken Masters
SPOILER

Nina's working for Schneizel now, as some sort of researcher. Well here's some spoilers for you guys.

# Production Info Begins airing Sunday, April 6th at 5 PM, a brand-new timeslot for anime
# Both the opening and ending song are going to be performed by ORANGE RANGE, the group that also did Bleach’s first OP. The OP is called 02 (pronounced oh-tsuu, similar to C.C.’s name) and ED is called Shiawase Neiro (Happy Tone). The ending sequence will feature new art by CLAMP.
# Director Taniguchi (in what appears to be a slip of the tongue in the PASH interview) and the animators (in their private blogs) have referred to the first episode of R2 as Stage 26; all the voice actors refer to it as “first episode of the sequel” or some variation of that.

# General R2 Info One year has passed since the end of the first season. Following the failed “Black Rebellion”, Britannia has demoted Area 11 in status to some sort of “Corrective Measures Required” territory (literally, “Remedial Area”), making laws stricter and punishments harsher.
# Britannia is currently in a rough situation with the EU. The Emperor put Schneizel in charge of the invasion. Britannia has been fighting Euro Universe for a long, long time now; the El Alamein front is an especially large spot of bother for Britannia because apparently a legendary commander is stationed there, keeping the Britannian forces at bay. Schneizel has been sent to try and break this deadlock, and for that purpose he’s “borrowing” Suzaku.
EU is in deep doodoo due to their longtime hostile relations with the Chinese Federation; with the Britannian Empire trying to break down their front door and the Chinese Fed fiddling with the lock on the back door, the EU runs a high risk of becoming a cornered rat. Taniguchi tells us this particular war will probably not get a lot of screen-time, but all the same he wants us to remember that the Britannian Empire has been fighting a drawn out war with the EU for a long, exhausting period of time (hinting at the Empire starting to tire out?), and that the world is still at war with each other.

# The Chinese Federation is a communist nation and a major power to be reckoned with on the global playing field; its figurehead Emperor (Tenshi-sama) once possessed absolute power. However, the eunuchs in his court are the ones running the country now. After General Zao’s unsuccessful attempt at creating a puppet government in Kyuushuu, the Chinese Federation again plots to take over Area 11 - without having to go to war with Britannia over it, this time. They have sent ambassadors to Area 11.
# Animedia’s editors suggest that the nine characters labeled as central figures in R2 are Lelouch, Suzaku, C.C., Kallen, and Nunnally from the first season, as well as four newcomers: Rollo, Zino, Anya, and Li Xingke (see below). Most 2chers think that these aren’t exactly the “main 9″ but the 9 “adolescents” who are trying (or will try) to change the world, as opposed to the “adults” who would rather maintain the status quo.
# Producer Kawaguchi made an assurance in Animage March that mysteries from the first series like the details of Lelouch and C.C.’s contract, Marianne’s death, etc will be revealed in R2.

# Lelouch/Zero Other than the fact that his hair is slightly longer, Lelouch at the start of R2 seems almost identical to how he was at the beginning of the series. However, magazines have noted that his expressions are a lot more gentle and kind than in the past.
# Despite the fact that Lelouch is confirmed to be Zero once more, the masked terrorist hasn’t been seen since the Black Rebellion. When he does return, he will sport a new costume that is somewhat tuxedo-like, and can become more casual.
# Interestingly, Lelouch doesn’t have the permanent Geass in his eye in most of the promotional material, though later ones show him using the Geass. PASH has colored line-art of Zero/Lelouch with the perma-Geass again. Also, the-animator-whose-blog-is-still-around’s cryptic line might have something to do with the Geass (in a blog entry with a sketch of normal, no-Geass Lelouch in his Ashford uniform): “I’ll have to say goodbye to this Lulu starting tomorrow”
# According to the spoiler source Fake Yoshino, Lelouch must overcome some obstacle before R2 can begin in earnest.
# Lelouch’s voice actor Fukuyama Jun commented in Animedia April on how “Lelouch is back where he started… in a lot of ways.” Sounds like a hint about his memories.

# Suzaku Suzaku is now a member of the Knight of Rounds, the Emperor’s twelve elite soldiers. He is the seventh-ranked member, also called Knight of Seven. How he achieved this rank remains to be seen, but it apparently involves a deal with the Emperor himself.
# Even a year later, he still carries Euphemia’s death with him, and seems much more serious and morose than in the past.
# The Special Dispatch received a promotion for its success as well, and has officially been designated “Camelot” by the Emperor. Suzaku is now in charge of it, thanks to his new position.
# Suzaku took Arthur back with him to the Britannian mainland when he left Area 11.

# C.C. Is working with the Black Knights while Zero is missing.
# Wears a new costume, a black, vaguely Chinese-looking dress with the Black Knights’ emblem on the chest

Kallen
# Begins the season working as a bunny-girl waitress at a casino in the Babel Tower, which forcibly employs Elevens as waitresses and even has a coliseum for them to battle each other in. The Babel Tower is located in Shinjuku Ghetto. The first series started in Shinjuku Ghetto, and that’s also the starting place for R2.
# Keeps the Guren Mk-II’s starter key with herself, disguised as a cigarette lighter (held between her cleavage).
# Will interact with Lelouch in the first episode, surprised at how he’s changed since they last met.
# Will join (or re-join) the Black Knights.

# Rollo Lamperouge Lelouch’s younger brother, who also attends Ashford Academy.
# Most prized possession is a locket Lelouch gave him for his birthday.
# Apparently has taken Rivalz’s place as the motorcycle guy at Ashford, and also ferries his brother to his chess bets. The bike (upgraded) still belongs to Rivalz, though; apparently Rollo took it without his permission.
# Rollo is, apparently, for all his endearing smiles, not very good with people. PASH suggests that “maybe it’s because he’s been separated from his brother for a long time…!?”
# The obvious inconsistency of Lelouch suddenly having a brother has never been commented upon; everyone seems to accept it as fact. However, there is obviously something sinister and hidden about Rollo that has yet to be revealed. The PS2/PSP game Lost Colors has the protagonist running from Rollo the first time they meet, feeling a murderous, maddening aura from the younger boy.
# Voiced by Mizushima Takahiro (Romeo x Juliet’s Romeo)

# Li Xingke (Lee Shinkuu) The bodyguard of Chinese ambassador Gaohai and has came to Area 11 to protect his charge. Gaohai is (voiced by Sekine Nobuaki) is a eunuch who has been dispatched to Area 11 as consul general.
# Is described as being as smart as Lelouch and as strong as Suzaku; wields a sword.
#
# Could be described as the Chinese equivalent of Lelouch. He is the son of a lowly officer and climbed his way up to central command. Believes that the Chinese Federation needs to change its ways - he’s planning a coup.
# It was originally believed that he would become Zero’s rival, but more recent speculation suggests that he’ll ally himself with the Black Knights and get along well with Lelouch.
# Voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru (Gundam Wing’s Heero Yuy and s.CRY.ed’s Ryuhou)

# Zino Weinberg The Knight of Three, a position he achieved through his incredible piloting skills.
# Comes from a very rich upbringing, and as such doesn’t quite understand how the real world works. However, his cheerfulness and friendly demeanor earn him many friends.
# Has a special interest in Suzaku, but the friendship seems slightly one-sided.
# Pilots the transforming Knightmare Frame, Tristan.
# Voiced by Hoshi Souichirou (Gundam SEED’s Kira and s.CRY.ed’s Kazuma)

# Anya Earlstreim The Knight of Six.
# Quiet and introverted, with a mysterious past. Has a Britannian emblem tattooed on her left arm.
# Wants to be remembered, so she maintains a blog which she frequently updates and is always snapping pictures with her camera-phone.
# Is friends with Suzaku and Zino due to their similar ages.
# Arthur takes a liking to her.
# Pilots the heavy assault Knightmare Frame, Mordred.
# Voiced by Gotou Yuuko (Suzumiya Haruhi’s Mikuru)

# The Knight of Nine; makes her first formal appearance in the Lost Colors game along with Rollo and Li Xingke.
# Attended the military academy with Cornelia, who considers Nonette her “sempai”. She also happens to be one of the few people Cornelia fears.
# Voiced by Arai Satomi (she also voices Sayoko)

The Knight of Rounds
# In addition to the four named members mentioned above, there are three more known: Knight of Ten, a laid-back guy who’s fiercely loyal to the Empire; the Knight of One, the strongest of the group; and the Knight of Twelve, a gentle-looking woman.

Other Characters:

# Villetta is now an Ashford gym teacher, popular with the students. Chasing Lelouch around the school, trying to get him to show for remedial gym classes appears to be some kind of daily routine for the both of them. Trailer suggests the possibility of Rivalz, in a black wig, leading her on a wild goose chase. She is also in charge of the Swimming Club, of which a certain amnesiac-girl-who-attempted-to-kill-Villetta-more-than-a-year-ago is a member. 2ch Spoilermen have also told us that Villetta is at Ashford to “look for Zero”, though it looks like she’s only keeping an eye on him for now.
# The Black Knights are in hiding, after several critical members (Ougi, Tamaki, Toudou, Chiba) were arrested. Diethard and Lakshata remain on the run.
# Nunnally will begin the season in “an interesting place”, according to the staff.
# Milly still attends Ashford, having failed to graduate last year. Rumors abound that she flunked on purpose to keep from leaving her friends. She’s still engaged to Lloyd.

# Nina’s back in Britannia and now continues her research under the employ of Schneizel, presumably in the field of nuclear energy.
# Sayoko is working with Diethard. She apparently knew that Lelouch and Nunnally were royalty from the very beginning, but still doesn’t know that Lelouch is Zero.
# Lloyd and Cecile are currently working under Suzaku’s direct command after he became the Knight of Seven. It is implied that the Special Dispatch, now rechristened “Camelot”, remains in charge of Lancelot R&D and maintenance.
# All information regarding Jeremiah is specifically being withheld by the staff.
# Cornelia is in hiding; Guilford and the Glaston Knights are still stationed in Area 11, waiting for her return.
# There is a Britannian called the Black King who gambles and plays chess at the Babel Tower. He is voiced by Satou Masaharu.
# The new Governor General of Area 11 is a cruel man named Carares, who holds executions in the garden Clovis built on top of the administration building.

# Mecha Guren Mk-II: Lost its radiation wave arm while fighting the Lancelot during the Black Rebellion. Has to make do with a less efficient arm from an earlier iteration of the Guren.
# Lancelot: With its Float Unit in place, it is officially dubbed “Lancelot Air Cavalry”.
# Vincent: The mass production version of the Lancelot. Still in the testing phase.
# Tristan: Zino’s Knightmare, a high-speed machine capable of transforming into a fighter-like Fortress Mode.
# Mordred: Anya’s Knightmare, a heavy assault machine mounting missile launchers and four hadron cannons.
# Panzer Hummel: The EU’s main Knightmare
# Misc.: The Gloucester seems to be Britannia’s main mecha now. Promotional artwork has shown a green, stripped-down Gekka (probably a production model), as well as minor enhancements to Tohdoh’s personal unit. The same poster also shows a blue Knightmare with a gold faceplate and headcrest, probably the personal unit of another of the Knights of the Round.

First episode of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 released by gg.

Just finished watching it myself. It's been nearly a year since I finished this series. I'm not even exactly sure what's going on at the moment either. Good episode overall, explains a couple of things that had me puzzled at the start. Still, not sure what exactly happen at the end of season 1. I hope that's clarified in the coming episodes.

I liked how episode 1 ended. The entire scene was just like when Lelouch got his powers the first time. He commands the soliders to kill themselves, they do just that. Classic.

The thing that put me off from watching the first season was how it started. The "do you want power" and randomly getting superpowers the moment before you're about ot die is arguably one of the biggest cliches in anime. Well even Bleach started off that way and I didn't like that either. But I watched the first episode of Season two and it started off exactly the same. Even with the over the top obvious "will I die so easily without knowing what this is about" questioning. I really wish they would have done it differently and not so obvious and same as last season.

And what's with the hand gestures he's doing?

I heard Code Geass is good, but some things are putting me off from watching it. I'll check out the next episode though and see how it is.

I'll wait for the next five, then resume watching. I'm not going to watch it on a weekly basis. I can burn up to six episodes on a DVD, then watch the episodes on my HDTV. I prefer doing that than watching them on a computer screen, even though my computer scene decent, but no match for my HDTV.

SPOILER WARNING?

I'm assuming that we all should know that C.C's real name is supposedly... Shitsu? It's what I got when the Britannian army guy after he shot C.C anyways. But yeh, they didn't really show what happened from what we last saw but you could assume that Suzaku shot Lelouch and then he maybe loss conciousness allowing V.V to step up to erase his memory - something along the lines of that maybe?

Not much to say really except it's a nice way to start the series. Reminds you of the first episode in season 1 too, which I think, is what they're trying to get at.

QUOTE (Athrun)
And what's with the hand gestures he's doing?
Signifying he's going to wipe out Britannia? Hand gestures mean alot when you're a political person trying to make a statement.

I'm not a big fan of the OP or the ED themes, personally think they're alittle meh for the series compared to FLOW's COLORS OP =/. CLAMPs ED illustartion arts is SO pretty though ~! ;P

"Shitsu" is just the the way C.C. is pronounced in Japanese, if I'm not mistaken. Though I am curious to see What happened to Lelouch and the end of the first season. How come his memory was erased? Could it be related to V.V.'s power? or perhaps maybe Suzaku made a deal with V.V. and has gained a Geass as well. How does Rollo fit into all of this, considering he was just some mysterious character that got added into the series. If it is a memory wipe, as suspected by many people, how much of his memory was erased and could they have erased the memories of Lulu's classmates as well? Though it is safe to say that Britannia, or at least some of the higher ups in Britannia know that Lelouch is Zero. In anycase I'm looking forward to the next episode, and I hope we get to see more of Karen in a bunny outfit.

The new OP, wasn't too bad, though I agree COLORS is a hard song to top.

As for the hand gestures, it just may mean Lelouch may be part Italian.

Is this Anime any good? What is it about? Why does the main character look so much like Kamui from X/1999? Yes, I know CLAMP is behind this Anime, but still why put what is basically the same character in another Anime?

1. Yes, watch the first season to get caught up on character development.
2. Your basic elements of a revenge plot, but Lelouch obtains it not through brute force (which most characters in almost every anime like this does) but through wit like Light Yagami from Death Note.
3. Because Bishounen characters sell well.

I find the season to be off to a very good start and I think the nod towards how S1 started was pretty nostalgic. Karen in a bunny suit. <3 I like C.C. new clothes but they cover too much, I want some skin dammit. =O New OP sucks and the ED is just alright.

So has no-one seen the second episode? x_X'

Second ep explained what happened in the finale of season 1 ;o ~!

SPOILER?
Like... wtf? is it me or did everyone just started showing up with a Geass ability now? I mean the Emperor has 2 and Rollo had 1, wtf? x_X'

Anyways, turns out Lulu was knocked out and apprehended but I'd actually never thought that the Emperor would have a Geass in both eyes. Plus, it strikes me as odd why he ended up erasing Lulu's memory instead of killing him off. Even if he wants C.C dead, using Lulu as bait is still risky, ne? This woman can give geass powers x_x.

Still baffled at the whole Rollo thing and where the heck he got his Geass!? I'm assuming this isn't all done by V.V...? x_X'

and I lol'd when they showed Nina shocked by Zero appearing on the screen XD.
/END SPOILER.

By the by, part of Episode 3 was leaked online so there might not be airing the third ep this week since they're deciding on changing it or something =/. Otherwise, there was alot of gun pointing going on...
Ken Masters
I didn't wanna double post, that's all.

SPOILER

So many questions answered, but now I'm interested how the Emperor got his Geass powers? and how did Rollo get his Geass powers, and more importantly who Rollo is? Though I'm pretty sure Rollo has been in on the whole spying on Lulu thing for quite some time. Also . . . I'm still loving the fact that Kallen was wearing that Bunny suit in this episode!
SonicX_Zero
My thoughts for ep. 2-4

ep. 2- Finally got things cleared up with regards to S1 and kinda shocking with regards to the current situation of the people with Geass. Zero's speech at the end gave me goosebumps and I mean the guy is like a cockroach who just wont die, and now he's trying to pick a fight again with Britannia. Rolo got on my nerves a bit, although nothing yet on the level Suzaku is on. xD

ep. 3- The way Lelouch set things up was great and although he did hit a snag but all was well in the end anyway, and as for Suzaku well I guess it was a good thing that the screen time he had was to a minimum but still damn annoying. xD

ep. 4- I loled at Zero pulling off the Black Rebellion move, I mean wow the same tactic worked again. But then again its not like everyone in Britannia knew of Zero's hidden card. Not to mention the ending revealed a lot with regards to how things played out, and damn that was great (Rolo getting outwit by Lelouch expected lol).

Now.... I have to wait for a while again before watching a batch of eps. good thing is that ep. 4 had a somewhat ending note and at ep. 5 will be a new start.
AnimePaul
Finished watching Episodes 5 & 6 and things are starting to heat up now. The first few episodes were kind of slow. Episode 5 was pretty much full of comedy with the Student Council to celebrate Suzuku's promotion to knighthood with a festival by trying to make the world's biggest pizza which gets C.C. all excited again. The end of episode 5 was a pretty big surprise putting Leleoch in a bind. Also, there is quite a bit of Karen/Kallen and Vitella fanservice in this episode.

Episode 6 was great with Karen/Kallen(which is it?) getting her Guren upgraded with some booster packs so she can fight the Knights of the Rounds more powerful custom frames. She kicks their ass which was great because I was starting to get worried because it looked like Britannia were out pacing the Black Knights in terms of technology.

Does anyone want to predict which characters might die by the end of R2? Assuming R2 is the last season I'd say C.C., Nunnaly, Suzuku and Lelouch have a big possibility of not making it to the end or die at the end I suspect Nunnaly might die since she is being used by the Emperor. C.C. will probably die since she has been living for so long. Lelouch might die at the end of the series if things get out of hand. Suzuku will most likely die if he ever figures out how evil the Emperor is.

Go ahead and give it a try. I've been putting it off myself because I've watched so much like it lately that I needed to watch somthing different. But now that I'm caught up on D Gray Man and have joined the week to week crawl for that series I decided to give it a shot today and I'm already on Episode Ten xD. I agree with how it began with the whole "Oh man, I have power, time to go do stuff with it!" But it does make for an interesting main character. I've always been a fan of the whole "Absolute Justice [I.E Revenge] driving the hero Absolutely Insane" approach. And here they use it TWICE to good effect with both the main character and his antagonist. I'd say at least give the first season a five-seven episode try out.

Personally I found the first season getting better as the show progressed and the way they ended the first season only made the craving for R2 even worse. Good thing you finally gave this series a chance Fusion. =)

Yeah it does get better and better each episode. I really like how, outside of the Emperor, you can't really say who's the good guy and who's the bad guy. It's like at any given moment, any character can be an antagonist or a protagonist, especially the main character.

I find the season to be off to a very good start and I think the nod towards how S1 started was pretty nostalgic.

Wel I thought it was uncreative and a bit lame with how all it took was just one soldier pulling the trigger during his will-I-die-now-so-easialy-without-knowing-anything-more speach. So once is enough for me.
But I like how it goes on from there, and how Lelouch has to try to be at two places at once to hide the fact that he got his memories back.

@FusionNoJutsu

I gave the first season a shot because I thought Season 2 was interesting, and I got into it after just the first two or so episodes. I think it starts off pretty interestingly so it's easy to get hooked pretty quickly. And watched episode after episode after episode. It's easy to like Lelouch if you've watched Death Note before. There are a lot of similarities in his character and Lights, as well as their powers and how they have limitations and need to hide their identity. I love Lelouche character as the evil goodguy type, he's very likable. I wasn't too fond of his voice when I first heard him as Zero, because it sounded so fourced (deep) but now it makes sense that he speaks different because they know his usual voice, and I love it. Each episode left me wanting to see more, so I went through them all pretty quickly. Lelouch evil lagh when he stole Schnizer's Nightmare and started flying was priceless. And what happened with Euphemia was pretty unexpected, both shocking and sad at the same time. =(

I have to admit, it took awhile for me to get into the first season as well. It wasn't until further on after all the introductions did things really start to get going. The same thing is kind of happening with the second season although things are picking up alot quicker since most of the people already into the series knows who everyone is.

I hope Nina dies XD. Although, depending on how they're going to sort the series out, it's hard to say. Since manga-wise Nunnally and Suzaku have a arc all to themselves.

Pronunciation-wise, it's Kallen, which is technically Karen if you're not speaking Romanji-Japanese.

Moving along, good call on stopping at episode 4, Sonic, since you're watching it in batches. SPOILER// Who'd have thought Suzaku would pull out the Nunnally card so soon on Lelouch? I didn't expect Rolo to stick on Lelouch's side so easily even though you can tell he still has doubts about him. But having him around for situations like that is good I supposed (the whole Lelouch wanting to talk to Nunnally without Suzaku knowing he's Zero again).

I kind of had a feeling that Nunnally might end up doing something like that (becoming Governer-general of Brittania), it seems she wants to follow Euphie's footsteps - let's just hope she doesn't die like Euphie did though x_x. Though, it has caused quite a conundrum for Lelouch and to top it off Nunnally seems to reckonise his voice at the end... x_x. I'm assuming the next episode might be a waster on Lelouch trying to figure out what he's going to do and the previews also show him confronting Rolo about something so who know's what's going to happen. D'ya think Rolo takes a turn on Lelouch in the end ;o? Personally, he annoys me

More Lloyd screen-time please! ;P

Say, it has been quite a dry spell after Gundam 00's sudden death...

Is it recommended to watch this new season without having watched the earlier one?

Episode 10 spoilers

Okay so basically Zero makes his getting now having four cute girls under his possession alone (Kallen, C.C., Kaguya, Tianzi). Meanwhile, Xingke and his men are coerced to get the little empress back in order to be pardoned. Xingke himself is given the Shen Hu knightmare frame (Which was designed by Rakshata during the same time the Guren was developed) and battles Kallen. They're evenly matched, but Kallen forgets to recharge her power supply, and is subsequently captured (which would set up plenty of storylines for hentai doujinshi artists, believe me). Having lost his ace Lulu's forces are severely disadvantaged against the Chinese army, especially under the guidance of Li Xingke's cunning and strength. It's also confirmed the Xingke is suffering from some terminal illness, though we don't know what's killing him yet. In anycase, Lulu and his forces retreat to the grave site for the past Chinese empresses and emperors, and Xingke is betrayed by the Chinese government who turned to Schneizel's help. The last scene shows Ashford Academy, with Rivalz and the gang watching the news to find out what happened in China, though I am puzzled on how Lulu got back so quickly. Personally I think it could be a double, but hey we'll find out this coming sunday when it airs.
Speaking of the next episode, looks like we're gonna see an epic battle between Li Xingke's forces, the Chinese-Britannian coalition, and the Black Knights. Also we're gonna see lulu fight in his own personal knightmare frame the Shinkiro , basically to my speculation an upgraded version of Gawain(I've been reading the specs and it said it's controls were keyboard based, and Lulu is shown in a cockpit typing).
Well see ya next week for more spoilers.

I'm wondering how Lelouch learned to do Kagebunshin no jutsu. At the end of the raw there is a skit between him and Suzaku about a Code Geass Laptop you can win, and from what I understand they said something like:

Suzaku: "Wait, are you at school right now?"
Lelouch: "Of course. Because I'm a student."
Suzaku: "But then, the Zero just now..."
Lelouch: "Hahahahaha"

My thoughts exactly, it's completely weird. If he used his Geass that would be the prime explanation, but since he already used his Geass on Shirley, it shouldn't work for her anymore. Unless it's another power of Rolo's geass, but I highly doubt that as well.

Oh and I found this on one of my other forums, found it quite amusing.

You finally got around to watching the series by the looks of your Sig and avatar.
Athrun
Yup. I watched it around a month ago. Definitely one of my favorite animes now.

Episode 11 was pretty good.

It was nice to see the Gawain back in action, doing what it does best. Making a bunch of "Lost" signals appear on the radar.

And it looks like Cornelia will be in the next episode.
Ken Masters
Just finished the latest episode.
I really wished Lulu could have saved Kallen, I hope nothing bad happens to her. I anycase the Shinkirou knightmare frame was kickass, despite it's lack off weapons. Oh and Suzaku is becoming more of a jackass every episode he appears in.
Athrun
Yeah I started to hate Suzaku in season 2. The only episode I liked him in so far is the one where he exiled Zero, because he acted more like his old self when he answered Zero's question about what makes a country. More compassioinate, and we see less of that in Season 2. Now he even uses Nunally as a pawn.
Athrun

Lelouch no jutsu!

Nice to see Cornelia back again. I like her new look. She doesn't have her purple lipstick any more either. But it looks like her left arm has been permanently damaged since the black rebellion. I'm not sure what she's doing, but it looks like she and Bartley might form a new faction separate from the Brittanian Empire.

And this seems to be the first princess, Guinevere. (Since they always called Cornelia the second princess.)
She looks even more ruthless than Cornelia.

The thing Knight of One and the emperor said about only fools wage war makes me think that they plan on doing something big and horrible, and I think that's what Bartley was worried about when he said that they would be accomplices to the biggest crime in history if they stayed there.

Sayuko as Lelouch was hillarious, the way she gets him into trouble by thinking she is acting like him. And her acrobatic moves and strange comments during the contest. lol The end of the episode was interesting. To see Jeremia's powers, and that Shirley got her momories back again. I guess this means that Yufie could have been saved?
Voyou San
Jeremia def. has some cool powers and this anime continues to suprise me in very good ways. I was very suprised about Shirley and the fact that she dies, i really didnt see that coming.. but it should provide very interesting.

Also very suprising to see Jeremia jump sides and side with Lelouch, unless he plans on backstabbin him, we will see.
Athrun
I doubt Jeremia will do that. His feelings were sincere.

About Shirley's death, that was really sad. =( Now I hope he dies soon.
And it looks like Lelouch is able to use his Geass again on people who have had it's effect canceled. Might be useful for Suzaku, or maybe even Karen.

The one in this throne room seems to be Karen. And the new opening seems to suggest that Guren and Lancelot might work together. Although I have a hard time seeing why Karen would betray Lelouch. Hopefully she's just playing along to avoid being imprisoned.

I seriously didn't see that coming at all... poor Shirley T____________T. Although, I have to admit I did accidently read a spoiler that she died in the episode. The scene didn't feel dramatic enough to me until Lulu entered and found her lying there - the amount of times he used his Geass on her to stay alive, d'ya think that would've made an impact of the Geass getting stronger... C.C did mention that he shouldn't use it "that" much =/.

Ya know, I thought Cornelia was already dead since everyone was like "I will vengeance for Cornelia etc..." and there was no sign of her until the latest couple of eps xD. Meh, Orange-kun could turn-around on Lulu since Lulu did cause alot of misery for him... I mean for one, he's given him the nickname "Orange-kun" XD.

Aside from the ep(s), I was expecting the new OP by FLOW to be more glorious like "COLORS" from season 1 but "WORLD END" is at least a better OP than the previous one by Orange Range =/.
Eva
Good episode this week. The death of Shirley should have a big impact on the characters with relationships with her. I wonder if Lelouch will assume Jeremia killed that character that died. Should be interesting to see. Rolo continues to be nothing more than overly possessive fool. I do hope he meets his end at a certain point and Lelouch delivers the finishing strike to him when his time comes.

A lot of unexpected events happen this week. I like not being able to guess and likely guess correctly what's going to happen.
