hi, i am seriously interested in watching this series, i have been told about it by a friend who watched them on an old website, which has now been closed down, i would like to know if anywhere in england would be likely to sell them or would i have to order them from japan.

That site, you might be refering to tv links? Anyway, I'm sure there are plenty of people selling it on ebay, and there are several sites that are simmilar to tv links. Although you can't post them here since such things are against the rules.

And Death Note is definitely a great anime. A lot of non-anime fans I know even started watching it.

yep that was the site he watched it on lol, have found the complete series and 2 movies on ebay for nearly 20 pound so thats a good buy, although i might check out some other sites to see if i can preview an episode before purchasing all 37 lol.

Buying it online works too. If you have this weekly magazine called Shonen Jump (but online or in stores), they always have a section where you can read Death Note...
I'm sorry, I'm not that helpful, but I'll fill you in if I come up with something else...

I dont think death note has come out over here yet so your gonna have to rely on imports.
The best place for buying region one anime (well in the UK at least) is www.cd-wow.com - thats where i get all my stuff from anyway, all 100% genuine, fair prices and free delivery and you dont have to worry about getting hit with extortionate import duty.

It plays at midnight on Adult Swim. At least, it used to.

Unfortunately we don't get the shame choice of stuff over here in the UK - there's only very limited selection of shows up and running atm - though with the opening of anime central on satellite we're finally getting stuff like Bleach, GitS, etc, and before them all we got was a couple of hours a night on friday/saturdays - so the future is definitely looking brighter - though unfortunately no Death Note as of yet and my bank account wont stretch to import the series a volume at a time.
