Okay, I was told to do the Catalyst weapon sidequest after defeating Van. Problem being the ##### game ##### ends after that. So is there a way to continue playing after defeating Van, or do I need to kick the ##### out of the person who told me to wait to do it?

You're talking about Tales of the Abyss I could only assume. I think you need to go with the latter choice you offered. Since the game ends after that boss, what with all its little movie things + credits, there's no way you could keep playing it...Then again, I'm not the most reliable person to take advice from, especially since I wasn't aware of a Catalyst weapon side-quest, but still...After you defeat Vahn, the game's done...So to answer your question, no, I don't think there's a way to keep playing after you beat him >.o
Athrun
Actually, I think the person who told you that meant after you defeat Van for the first time. The game doesn't end then.
Noir
Nah, I asked for clarification when they said it because I knew you had to fight him 2/3 times. They're just a dirty bastard.

I have a couple more questions.

To make Nebilim not suck, as far as I know, you have to defeat Nebilim and kill monsters with it. My question is does it count all the kills you have made on that file, or the kills you have made just with that weapon? And if it just counts the ones made with that weapon, does it matter if the kills are done before or after fighting Nebilim?

About the Berserker title and costume. I think in the US version you just have to make 256 kills on Hard mode or higher, but do these kills have to be consecutive or can they be spaced out?
Athrun
I don't know about Nebilim, but as for Berserker, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be consecutive. And it's not "kills" but "battles". You need to fight (and win probably) 256 times on Hard mode.

IIRC its affected by the number of kills the particular character (the one the catalyst is associated with) has made throughout the game - before and after the Nebilim battle - using any weapon, not just the catalyst itself.

Then my level 200 Luke will do fine with it. And yes Athrun, I cheated. I CHEATED.
