HI all.
I just started my imported NTSC mutation after having played my PAL Infection, where
I cleared the game and got the Vol.1 Data Flag and my two saves became yellow.
But when I choose convert in Mutation it says there is no data from .hack Infection!!

Help!! I'll be seriously pissed off if I cant convert my data after all those hours!

It's not going to recognize a different format. Sorry man, you're out of luck as far as I know.

Solution: Buy and play the PAL version of Mutation.

Interconnected games from other regions are not compatible with each other. I'm not sure why you thought they would be, but whatever the case, you lived and learned, and now you know what to do for volumes 2-4: get the PAL versions or start fresh with NTSC versions for all of the final games in that series.

That sucks, but at least you didn't really *lose* your data, you just got delayed a little by having to get the PAL versions of the other games.

oh man.

I cant find any of these games here in greece.
I only found Infection in a second hand store.
So I imported Mutation because I liked what I got.

Damn.
I guess I'll start anew in Mutation and go on to the other parts from there...sad.gif

Thanks for your help guys!

Dude, my advice is just to order from amazon.co.uk. Plenty of copies last time i checked.

I remember when I first learned this. It was back when Resident Evil 1 was new for PSX.
I also remember that the NTSC save files were animated/moved while the PAL ones were frozen and nothing particular happened with the picture.

This is another reason that games shouldn't be region restricted. I had it happen to my Suikoden II, when I got an illegal copy, because the game was nowhere to be found and I wanted to play it at that time.
Couldn't upload my save file from Suikoden, because the copy was a NTSC.

Anyway greghacker, you are still able to play the game, since you do not really need the save file to play the game.
You won't be able to continue with everything you got in .hack//Infection, but you can still progress the story. However, if you insist on having your items/stats/whatever, then there is no option than to go for a PAL .hack//Mutation, or a NTSC .hack//Infection.
