i would at first like to apologize if there is already a thread about this. if so link please

i was grazing the community forum in Rebirth and it said something about a hidden quest. I clicked on it and it started talking about the Abyss quest.

is there truly an Abyss quest? if so how do i start it?

You get them from the BBS. People are usually talking about seeing or hearing something strange. Always ask for the area code. You'll meet some strange midget like MPC's that talk about resurrecting someone. At the end of the game you'll fight him. There's one at the end of each game, as a side quest.

is there anything i have to do? it isnt giving me an option to reply on it quite yet, ive beaten ReBirth if that helps any.

It's several quests you get throughout Rebirth. Not only at the end of the game, but during it as well. You may have missed the ones that you had to do before the end of the game, and that might be why you're not getting the Abyss quest now.
