i was wondering which one i should get, either 1.6 or Condition Zero. im getting CZ back from my dad pretty soon, and i was just wondering if i should rather just get 1.6. when i went on Steam, it sucked cause i couldn't play online, but ive seen a lot more 1.6 servers than CZ's.

and Ted, i think i recall you saying that you play CS, if not my mistake, but if you do, tell me which one you have, so that maybe i can play you sometime.

anyone else that plays, tell me which one you have, i might just get both.

I'd go with 1.6
it's supposedly the best version of counter-strike.
I never played it, but that's all I hear.. it's like the Halo1 of CS lol

I my self play source

yeah, lol.

dont you need to pay like each month for online on source though?

I'd go with 1.6, if you're choosing between 1.6 and CZ. CZ isn't made by the same designers as 1.6, and it's just rarely played and a piss-poor modification. Though, I definitely wouldn't compare 1.6 to Halo. I mean, unless the implied correlation that CS's, like Halo's, mediocrity turns you on.

Source, by the way, costs no money to play.

one more question, i've asked this many times, and it still doesnt work.

how do you play online for CS? i know you have to play with Steam, but when i click on servers, it says "the server is not responding." I click on the Condition Zero servers obv, but it brings me to the Steam home page. and i dont know what to do. any advice?

This is a lie. The old beta versions, 1.0 and 1.5 are the best. 1.6 is probably the best you can play outside a LAN, though.
