i need help wit the skills cause in some walkthroughs it says to use some items and extract them and i cant because my skill lvl is still at 1. how can i get the skill points up??????

I'm assuming you're talking about Xenosaga Episode I? You just gain skill points by extracting skills from items. In the beginning, you can of course only extract from Level 1 items. Keep extracting from Level 1 items and eventually you'll reach Level 2. And so on to reach higher levels.

But if you did what I did, and didn't extract anything during the first half of the game, you can basically forget about gaining skills anymore (because at some point, you will no longer find Level 1 items anywhere, unless I overlooked them somehow =S ).
