I was just thinking, anime graphics, tales of characters as bosses in dungeons, etc and RM character creation, how much epic win would that be?

Also some really random game called Tales of Pirates (nothing to do with tales of series but you get my idea from it)

Also if it was like Guild Wars, then no fees = smile.gif

I might play a MMORPG based on Tales, but I doubt it would hold my interest. If the game played like the Tales of Abyss, then I might hold my interest. I am not big on MMORPG in general. So, a idea of Tales MMORPG is not that exciting to me.

I watched demo's of Tales of Eternia Online, I was not that impress. From what I read, Tales of Eternia was shut down due to poor sales, which is not that surprising. Tales MMORPG, at least one I feel I would be interested, is not coming in the near future. Even if Tales of Eternia Online did not get cancelled, I would have no interest playing the game. From what I can tell, you did not even form a party, but I did not research the game. So, I can't be positive.

This is wierd - i was just thinking about this the other day as I finally started Guild Wars (wanted to start it for a while but my laptop is a mac so couldn't play it till the house PC got upgraded) last weekend.

They could do quite a lot with this idea if they were to carry it out properly, as i think the battle mechanics of Tales would work particularly well with an MMORPG though there may be some very minor issues regarding item usage and technigues in its current state. Though i've not played Tales as a multiplayer game so i can't really comment on stuff like that.

Much potential for character customisation, a secondary profession system would be a nice touch - you know (swordmans with a secondary in mage = Knight mage, etc as i really would like to a see a swordsman in tales with some of the fighters moves for the big combos)

Will have more thoughts on this - will add later

I’ve never really gotten into mmorpgs, but if this had any trace of Sheena in it, I’d probably play it regardless if it’s crap or not---*and if it’s free and can play on a Mac, which most mmorpgs don’t. I guess it would be an interesting idea at the least, but I’m not sure how good it’d turn out. I’ve lost faith in most mmorpgs, unfortunately >.>. I think the battles would be the thing to really interest me though. I love the battle system they use, so if it were similar in the mmorpg (however they could accomplish that), that’d be entertaining enough.

Otherwise, I don’t know enough about mmorpgs to really say what I’d like =D. I guess it would be interesting, but not something I’d volley for >.o
