Theres a bunch of themes to choose from, though most of you are probably already dead set on a theme by now!
If anyone else would like to participate, This thread is your last chance! Leaving it open for a week!
Also, two questions in the poll, please vote on both. Kthx. :]

First poll: I say a week. It gives people enough time to think of something and create something. A day is definitely too short and a few days is to inaccurate. I mean, it is all about planning, isn't it? A week should suffice.

Second poll: I am going for next gen. This is a game forum (RPG more than general games, but whatever) after all and so, I think that the next gen theme fits best. Anime is too cliché and was done before, General Anything is too broad and I think it would end up in a complete mismatched fieldpiece, like one being about football and the other having an chibi anime girl in it. The Tarot Cards are a nice idea as well, but I think it would be a difficult theme, as well as it being limited to only a few cards.
Next Gen gives you a broad theme, yet everyone knows what to look for.

I would also suggest in people confirming they're in, once the planning starts. This to prevent from people bailing out, or disappearing for unknown reasons, bringing a halt to the progress.

I voted for one week, and for the music lyrics.

As for bailing out, the only reason that’d happen for me is if my brother decides to deny me access to Photoshop (which is on my computer upstairs, but he hooks up a different one occasionally for school, which then means I can’t use Photoshop). I mean, if that happened when it’s my turn, I’ll just switch with someone later on so nothing gets stopped, and then I can make sure I’m able to have Photoshop access. But since we have a week, that gives me enough time...I dunno. I don’t think I’ll have to “walk off”...

i voted one week and next gen because it was my idea and i think it fits the best!!

I actually voted a few days, actually thinking 4-5 days. Due to the large number of participants a week may drag it out a little long.

But I'm already outvoted on that one by far, so don't pay attention to that.


I voted next gen even though I was the one to suggest anime. lol
Next gen really appeals to me now. It'll be fun.

And, to clarify with what I meant with 'bailing out'.
I meant that, once the wheel starts spinning, the order of artists has been set and people should be ready to start working on their piece, once it is their turn, that people stay on the forum, instead of not being there.
I have seen this before, that people joined the Fieldpiece, but once it was their turn, nobody knew where this person was, nor did they reply their pms.

I'll randomize the list come Wednesday. Next Gen seems to be winning. @_@

It might not hurt to be a little more specific than Next Gen. I mean that phrase has been used for a couple different things throughout history.

I assume that with Next-Gen the current consoles/games are meant, things as Crysis, DMC4, MGS4, Heavenly Sword etc etc

Oh for the love of god don't get technical or make things more difficult than they should be. By Next-Gen consoles you would obviously think PS3 or 360 or Wii.

And for the time period, I would actually say 4 days. Just because, even though it's not that much diff than a week, it all adds up once you get to like, the 10th person on the list. ie; After 10 weeks, you'd be on person #10 if everyone took a full week to make stuff. With a 4-5 day restriction, after 10 weeks you'd be on person #14.

Well, I've been debating on whether or not I had enough time on my hands to do another fieldpiece, and as it stands, I do. Rhad, you can sign me up as another who will be participating.
I could really care-less what the theme is, but I did vote general anything. This way, everyone can do the theme that they want, whether it is anime or Next-Gen. console. Anyways, though, like i said, it doesn't really bother me that much on whatever it is that is voted.

next gen is referring to the 2 next gen consoles and anything related to them.. thats what i meant when i suggested it.

Question, are ports from previous gen consoles allowed? Because I just read that Okami is being ported to Wii, even though I know nuts about the game, a lot of others do.

You need to learn to read things thoroughly, Laguna.

You're supposed to do your fieldpiece after you have seen all the pieces done before yours, so you can easily pick something else to use should somebody already used what you have in mind. Like me, I'm going to have to wait to see what's left for me to pick from. And try to blend your piece with the one before yours.

Sry new question.... Size is 500x200 right? is that vertical or horizontal tho? Cause the first piece there is horizontal, but I thought they were supposed to fit together vertically just to conserve space haha

Wow, just to inform you, Vins, The fieldpiece topic is bit in the shadows. I can tell that Bubble is completely unaware of the fact that it is her turn, which I just noticed today.
Her PM box is full, so she couldn't get PMs in the first place, but she didn't got any other form of reminder (pretty sure you can send emails to members.).
I don't know if it is still her turn, but I could pass on the message when she gets home.

Just so you people aren't "WTF just happened", I allowed Koala to go ahead of me simply because he promised a piece in the next few days. Turns out he got it in the next few hours.


Also, if you submitted your piece, it does not have to be final. You are still able to make edits to your piece, just so long as the front and the back stay generally the same, for blending purposes. So if you think its terrible, feel free to go back to it and make it better!

Likewise, I'll have mine done in a couple days.

Why does this thing keep dying? It's getting ridiculous.

Talked to Duran on MSN, and he said he had no idea it was his turn. He's asked to be skipped since it's...been quite a delay.

And, not to speak too out of place here, but I think people skipping their turn has more to do with lack of communication than "real life issues" (which lack of communication is, but that's not the point. >.o.). As Pes stated earlier, not everyone comes to look in this topic...PMing people for this type of stuff works the best...Which, actually, is what was originally supposed to be done (which I suppose is why people haven’t worried about checking in here), so I’m not entirely sure why it hasn’t been getting done...

Anyway, sorry. =). I'll get my piece up as soon as I finish it. =).
