Hey, I am almost all the way through KH2 and I was wondering about two questions:

1. Is there any incentive for me to play KH2 on harder difficulty levels?

2. Which character voices are the "true" character voices and which ones are either
a. Voices from other FF ventures used in the game
b. Totally new voice casts.

(I didn't play the first one, haven't found it for a good price yet... so I don't know which voices came back from the first one.)

Any comments are well welcomed smile.gif

1.) By playing on a harder level it's easier to unlock the special ending FMV.

2.) No idea.
a.) I believe the same voices used in Advent Children are used for this game's FF7 characters. At least in the Japanese version. I'm not sure about the US version.
b.) No idea.

One thing I do know is that different people voiced Sephiroth for KH1 and KH2. One of the two is voiced by Lance Bass of the boyband Nsync, which many didn't like. I'm going to assume it's the KH1 Seph's voice?

I know that Lance Bass voiced Sephiroth in KH 1. I'm not sure about KH 2.

Voice cast

See also: Characters of Kingdom Hearts

Kingdom Hearts II features well-known voice actors for both the Japanese and English versions. Many of the original voice actors from the first Kingdom Hearts reprised their roles; Miyu Irino and Haley Joel Osment as Sora, Mamoru Miyano and David Gallagher as Riku, and Risa Uchida and Hayden Panettiere as Kairi. New voice actors included Kōki Uchiyama and Jesse McCartney as Roxas, Iku Nakahara and Brittany Snow as Naminé, and Genzō Wakayama and Christopher Lee as DiZ.[36][15] A special effort was made to preserve the original voice actors from the Disney movies used in Kingdom Hearts II. Many actors reprised their animated Disney roles for the game, including American actors, Ming-Na, James Woods, and Zach Braff,[15] and Japanese actors, Takashi Aoyagi, Kōichi Yamadera, Yū Shimaka, and Hiroshi Fujioka. Some voice actors from the related television series or direct-to-video sequels were chosen over original voice actors, where applicable (e.g. Robert Costanzo as Philoctetes rather than Danny DeVito). Some characters were given new voice actors in the English version; Aerith, Leon, and Hercules, who were originally voiced by Mandy Moore, David Boreanaz, and Sean Astin in the first game,[37] are now voiced by Mena Suvari, Doug Erholtz, and Tate Donovan (Hercules' original voice actor).[36]

QUOTE ('about Sephiroth')
In the English language releases, he was first voiced by former 'N Sync-member Lance Bass in Kingdom Hearts and George Newbern in all other appearances.[3] The Japanese versions featured Shin-ichiro Miki as the voice of Sephiroth in Ehrgeiz and Toshiyuki Morikawa provided his voice in all other appearances.[4]

Hmmm, interesting. It really seemed that the characters seen on Advent children had the same English voice actors though... either that or I'm not very perceptive of whose who. Thanks for the input.
