It was written in Dec 2007, so that would probably be a Blu-Ray player now.

Will there be an 'Xbox Ultimate'? And how much would this thing cost?
As it is now, an Elite already costs $50 more than PS3. But they might come out with a new high end version soon.

well they microsoft do need to come out with an new machine with Blu-ray, which I can guess sony won't be selling cheap for microsoft!
plus that microsoft need to reprint all their games onto blu-ray (if they don't keep hd-dvd in the machine, but that would probably cost more, and if that get's on the customer price, 360's price may go over PS3)

But still PS3 need more games to overwhelm 360.

Everything said makes sense and is possible, but without official word from anyone I wouldn't hold your breath. It'd make sense to have a new run with better running hardware in a newer, and perhaps more price friendly version with the features mentioned.

I do not see it having a built in Blu-Ray drive. Not not way, not no how. Consider that the price would definitely be going up on a 360 if that were the case, even if Blu-Ray is the confirmed hi-def format and players lowering in price. They're still very costly compared to a DVD player.

I gave you that link and I said its prolly never gonna see the light of the day. The article is more of a spaz thingy instead.
