One such place is the Kingdom of Korgasa. Essentially a melting pot of all the races, it has remained a prosperous city throughout the centuries, surviving countless wars and plagues. Korgasa was a must-stop on any trader’s route, due to the fact that so many different races resided there, it made it very easy to sell merchandise. The city was home to warriors, wizards, mercenaries, traders, philosophers, as well as many other professions. If you were seeking to start your life, Korgasa was certainly among the top places to do it. King Arkan, a young and kind human, was the current ruler of the city, and had done a fine job in propelling it into an age of prosperity to which the city had not known in a long time. It was not perfect however, and there was still much crime. Thieves roamed the streets at twilight. Murderers stalked around dark alleys waiting for unsuspecting victims. These were dark times after all, and people did what they could to get ahead.
Dark times indeed, for Korgasa had neighbors, the Kingdoms of Al’Rusa and Starj being none too pleased with the recent success of the thriving city. They had allied against King Arkan and his armies and had declared war upon the city. These three cities were among the largest in the region and so this was no small war, and great and terrible battles were fought daily in the lush forests surrounding the kingdoms. Arkan’s army was well trained, and housed some of the best warriors in all the land, but they were severely outnumbered, and so the good king had posted notices throughout the city asking for help from all able warriors. He would pay 100 gold a day to fight in his army, a fine price indeed, and more than most would make in day to day business.
A curious elf sat in the great library of Korgasa holding that very notice. He smirked as he finished the note, then placed it on the table and stood up.
“Perhaps in time, good king” he muttered to himself while stretching. He strode over then to the racks of books and pulled out a particularly worn one, with gold inscribed letters written in old elvish along the binding that were barely readable. He walked back to the table and sat down, placing his leather booted feet atop the table, and cracked open the book to the page he had read so many times these past few days. It was about a great Paladin, whom was rumored to have carried with him items of magical power that had been long lost after his untimely death.
“First, I should like to find something that may turn the tides of battle in our favor” the amused elf said, visibly smiling as he scanned the pages. He certainly did love magic…

That's the basic intro to this rp. As you can see there is no set goal that all the characters must follow, and there are many roads to choose from. You can take this a lot of different ways and I believe that makes it more fun as there can be different adventures and sub-plots going on at the same time, while also maybe interacting with one another. Hopefully some others will be interested.

***Example- This will be my character, and yes it is the elf that is mentioned in the intro
.....Name: Talin Varda
.....Age: 123
.....Race: Elf
.....Weapon(s): Twin scimitars sheathed at his hip and a enchanted elven bow named Halfast, etched with lines of silver and gold which he can call to his grasp with only a thought
.....Style of fighting: Dexterous and acrobatic melee skills as well as expert marksmanship with his bow
.....Alignment (Good or Evil?): He has a good heart, and tries his best to do what he deems right
.....Personality: Talin is a good natured, quiet elf that has learned much in his time spent in this world. He is both wise and strong, and likes to keep to himself. He is very adventurous, and is fascinated with magic, and especially magical items.
.....Appearance: Talin is a handsome elf by all standards, though not very social. His shoulder length, black hair contrasts greatly with his intense, green-hued eyes. His face holds soft features, for he is still young by an elf’s measure. He is usually found wearing his dark leather armor, that’s decoratively laced with green and gold. He wears a belt holding his twin blades at his hips and a chain of silver adorned his neck, with his bow strapped and folded at his back. His body holds many scars from the countless battles of his time, though he rarely takes his armor off other than to rest.
.....Short history: Talin left the home of his elf kin long ago in search of adventure and, more importantly, riches. He is not a greedy elf, but loves magical items and the thrill of finding a new one. He was trained for many years in the art of combat before he set out and is quite formidable, obviously so seeing as he has lived through more than a century of countless adventures and battles. Talin is always looking for a new road to travel or battle to fight, as long as he is to profit from it. However, not long after he left his homeland and his family, it was attacked by orcs and utterly destroyed. He returned later to find only ruins, and a single enchanted ring which belonged to his mother, which he now wears, putting the enchantment it holds to good use. After the destruction of his home, it has been hard to Talin to get close with anyone, for fear of losing them, and he has harbored a hatred for orcs like no other.
Items Not Described In Bio:
- The ring that is worn upon Talin’s ring finger grants him the ability to, when called upon, call an arrow forth to his grasp, eliminating the need for a quiver. This enchantment is not infinite however and must recharge for a days time after repeated use. It brings memories of his mother and fallen kin back to him, forcing him to fight all the more fierce.

Some guidelines/rules
1. Please no godmoding, and try not to make your character to powerful in the first place, they may be exceptional in certain areas, but they can’t be the best at everything
2. Respect others, and for the most part, don’t control their characters actions, unless it is something very small that does not affect them, as well as staying in their typical personality
3. Races can be pretty much most fantasy races. Think logically though, for example an orc is not going to be accepted in the city just like a dark elf would not, and an evil sorceress. That being said, I would accept most races, though try to stay away from things like angels and such, but if it’s a good character than I will allow it.
4. That’s all I can think of right now, so have fun, hope you find it interesting
